In-Character:

Character Name: Petyr Forsyth

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc :

Petyr was always the black sheep of his family. He was born into a semi-wealthy family, living in a nice house in Arethor. He had 5 brothers and sisters, all of whom were very skilled in craftsmanship and arts. His brothers practices things like swordsmanship, music, or blacksmithing. His sisters tried to become master farmers and cooks. But Petyr was different. Petyr always loved his axe. His family never appreciated the fierce swing of the axe, the deep cutting blow of the blade. He was disowned by his family at the age of 17, he was caught by his father trying to steal some minas to futher train his ‘brutish art’ of axe mastery’. Petyr was alone, but he was better alone. He liked the freedom from the stress of the high cultured family he grew up in.

Since he was alone, he had time to grow on his own. His arms became larger and more muscular as he trained his axe. He became a well known hunter, bringing in massive amounts of food and loot for the less fortunate. But there was one thing, underneath Petyr’s close cropped blond hair, though his blue eyes and inside his lanky frame, was a black heart. A heart twisted by rejection and lack of love and acceptance. He was without a family to call his own. He was very alone in Asulon, very, very alone. He swore it to himself to be loved once again, to fill the gap that was once his childhood. Petyr planned to set out for Ildon, he wanted to visit some old family friends, the Lenblades. It was a journey farther than any other he had made on his own but Petyr was determined, for in his heart it had always seemed that the Lenblades were the only family he ever had.

Other Information about your Character:

Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I would hang back for a minute or two. I would assess the warriors, when they make the slightest error I would pounce on them trying to rescue the halfling, shouting things like “unhand him you criminals, men like you should protect the weak! Not harass them!,” but if it seems to me that I am not going to win I would flee. I am alone and need to put myself first, as much as I crave company, it is not worth my life.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I would walk right up the the merchant and look into his eyes, this would show him that I am a man with nothing to hide. I would say “Hello sir, I require your finest axe, in times like these a man cannot travel empty handed. What sort of man are you? You can see by my garb that I am not a wealthy man. But I will pay you all I can. I will do jobs to earn some of your wares if I must.” If I really really needed the item I would have to resort to intimidation. I migt say “I didnt want to do this but you have dragged me down to this level, if you will not sell me the axe I will take it! And if I must, I willl take it as you lie bleeding with your life draining out of you.”

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Look for any clues as to who owns the hut, take the items. I would go to the nearest town and ask the people there if they know anything about the hut, I would ask everyone from high ranking knights to the lowliest wood-cutter, I would implore them to help me with my cause. If no-one know anything about it I will keep the items. After all, I have nothing, is it not better that I get these items than a bandit or a man more wealthy than I?

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I would walk up to them With both hands raised above my head, to show that I mean them no harm. I would say “Hail friend I am a weary traveller. Could you spare some food for a unfortunate soul, and if you’ll have me, I wish to join your caravan. My tongue is not as sharp as yours, but i’m sure that there is hard labour to be done, and that, I can help with.” So the man accepts him to the caravan and gives him some food.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I would walk to the front of the line and tell the captain that “I will help him defeat the bandits, or die trying”. For a man cannot call himself a man if he cannot protect those in need, those bandits mean to harm travellers, would I want that to happen to me were I on the road, no. Thats why I would lend my blade to their cause. If accepted I would ask others to join the cause aswell.

Anything else you would like to say?: My character has been alone for a while now, he is quick to seize an easy profit, slow to talk about himself or disclose any details about himself and even slower to trust anyone. But he strives to do good and to be a better man than his father.
