"This symbol is reminiscent of a very ancient mark and the Cloud Temple monks wish to know the origins of this creation. Upon asking her what is wrong with her, she says; "I was walking to the Temple from Arethor, and I saw a great winged beast fly straight overhead, soaring on massive, ebony wings to the... North, I think! It looked just like my amulet - a Dr, err, thingy! I couldn't believe my eyes. It was as black as night, and it's scales seem to absorb all the light shining from the moon so it was just a shadow - a void in the sky where no stars could be seen! I heard it land nearby, with a almighty thump, but I didn't want to get caught up in whatever it was doing so I just headed on my way. I wonder if this could be related to the markings?" Dash_Rogers 130 Share Posted July 11, 2012 *Dash reads the notice after finishing speaking with Monk Neri about the recent drake attack. Dash Writes a quick letter and places it at the reception desk in the Cloud Temple addressed too the monk Talmb. It reads, "Dear Monk Talmb, I have some new information regarding the markings Tobias the pirate found near the human colony encampment found. Not long after he told the monks about it, I approached the markings alone to get a better look for myself. I eyed it closely, when I heard the flapping of oversized bat wings and caught the smell of brimstone in my nostrils I turned to the high mountains of the Cloud Temple to see a Black Drake on the decent right for me. Quickly I ducked for a tree, believing to be unnoticed by the beast. It had landed spot on to the blood drawn emblem and began licking it up. I gazed from behind the tree and soon gained the courage to approach in a peaceful attempt to make contact. It ignored me outright from my understanding. casually, I let out a cast from my fishing rod into the water beside the creature. Within moments, being a master fisherman, I caught up 3-5 fish and tossed them into the blood the dragon was enjoying. As I did this though, denizens of Asulon amassed. Most looked aggressive, but it was my fault for the events that transpired. I got cocky and thought I could capture the beast with all the new help and quickly, before it finished eating, thrusted my fishing net over the Drake and gave ends too the bystanders. I should have remembered it's abilities. It casted a wave of fire that disintegrated the net instantly and became enraged. Asulonians attacked and the dragon tried to escape. It did not get far and was soon slain. I watched men tore into the corpse, all claiming body parts, scales, claws, eyes, and head as trophies. I walk back too the land that was marked in the blood and met up with other monks. After a chat, I found this posting of yours and wrote you this letter.
