(You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Human What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): David Glade grew up in the impoverished Glade family in a small village. David’s father was mediocre hunter who took David out on a hunt every now and again when David was very young. Whilst hunting at the age of five David’s father was gored by a boar in front of David. The boar turned to David. David with shaking hands grabbed his father’s knife and swung at the boar. The mighty boar fell before his very eyes with an arrow in its side. Then from the brush emerged a shadowy figure with a hood that masked his face. The shadowy figure picked David off the ground and continued walking after seizing David’s knife. This hooded man walked for a few hours and took shelter in a cave. David can’t recall what had happened immediately after the boar incident due to the fact that David was in shock. The hooded man had cooked a soup and handed a bowl to David. David ate away and the bowman laughed. David remembers him saying he’s quite the eater. The bowman’s brief moment of gladness soon vanished and he lifted his hood. The man had grey and black hair suggesting he was middle aged. The man explained to David that he spent time as a Ranger. One who took an oath protecting those in trouble and explained that while David and his father were hunting bandits came into the village killing, robbing and torching the buildings. The man said he was the only one to make it out because he had access to weaponry since he was the town’s blacksmith. He said once he retired as a ranger he took up blacksmithing because what he saw scarred him. He took a trade that normally sees no foul. However, foul followed him into the peaceful hamlet. He was able to escape the village with a knife and a bow. David looked at him with a blank face. He heard what the man was saying but didn’t process his words. Those words hit him the next day, and the next, and the next for the rest of his life. David went with the man to a smaller town there the man took him as his apprentice after becoming town blacksmith. David learned the true beauty of crafted metals and took time with every blade, every horseshoe making sure it was of superior quality. Soon the town guard became avid customers of the blacksmith and his apprentice. After about ten years the man who took him in and became like a father to David died of an illness. David had lost the only person close to him and in a fury ran off into the woods, and stumbled upon the capitol of The Holy Oren Empire, Arethor, I entered the town and was immediately approached by two mercenaries and a servant. They mentioned they were looking for mercenaries and citizens for their aspiring town, Khabbi, (( my friend’s town that they’re working on getting “chartered?” my friends are helping me add some lore)) I tell them that I don’t think I’d be much use for mercenaries because of the fact I’m a blacksmith. They tell me that’s exactly what they’re looking for at this moment. They are in dire need of weapons, tools and other commodities. David is a nice but scarred individual. He is always looking for ways to enhance his trade so is very outgoing. David has long brown hair, ragged clothes, and a scar on his left side from an accident while blacksmithing. What are your Character's ambitions?: David aspires to continue his renowned trade as a blacksmith. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): A hammer and anvil are David’s favorite tools. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? David can take even impure metals and craft them into balanced, sharp and beautiful blades. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): http://imgur.com/mVIGE Other Information about your Character: Open-Response-Questions Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I decide to take action and help the Halfling half in part of the pity I feel for this poor soul, and half in part because I could use him to find me iron, gold and other metals to craft weaponry to supply the obviously nonexistent guard so that no more people would be tormented by these ghouls. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I have no business with this man so I look and him briefly and reply “ No, I’m okay today.” And I walk a little bit faster incase the man insists for me to look at his wares. If the man follows me and insists for me to look at his wares then I may take a brief look not paying very much attention to the wares because if it is not excellent crafted metal it won’t hold any interest to me. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Upon finding this chest I decide to take the Iron bars and look for a place to refine them into a worthy enough blade to trade for the golden sword. If no equipment is available nearby to transform iron bars into something knights would take into battle I would just keep it. If I could find equipment to do so I would craft an Iron Sword and exchange it for the golden sword. I would then have my sword unsheathed and continue looking for a way out of the wilderness. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I would ask the people if they had any food to spare and if I could tag along with them to the nearest town or village. If they refuse me I would follow their caravan and steal food during the night. If they allow me to then I eat their offered food and travel with them to the nearest town. Upon entering the nearest town I would look for any work having to do with the fruits of the earth. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Upon hearing bandits I am reminded of the hamlet I left with my father who later died and the man who took me under his wing. I decide to run off into the nearby terrain whether it be woods, or desert or tundra and hide myself looking to the horizon scanning for any signs of smoke. If I saw smoke I would then wait for the smoke to die down and approach the town with caution keeping an eye open for lost people, weapons, metals and other things. If no smoke came about the horizon I would still approach the town with caution scanning for the same things in case the bandits merely inhabited the town. Anything else you would like to say?:I look forward to seeing you in Asulon!
