Maliewyn'divu 21 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: moisoha How old are you?: 17 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: CST Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: If I do say so myself, yes. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I like roleplaying, and I like minecraft, so LOTC came soon after I realized the two could be put together. I can never think of how to properly fill out questions like this. I like socks….? How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Probably five to ten hours a week. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is when you create a character in a fake world, and try to act as realistically as possible like that character. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I’ve done written roleplays before. That’s about it, but I’ve been doing those for a very, very long time. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Taking something you learn ooc and using it as though your character knows. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: When you emote doing something and don’t give the other player a chance to react to what you’ve done. In your own Words, define what Out of Character (OOC) is: You being yourself and talking as you would talk. In your own Words, define what In Character (IC) is: Talking as your character would talk, in the game. What do you expect this server will be like?: So far, it looks like a lot of fun, though I do admit that it does also look as though there are places of irritating role play, but I think it looks great for the most part. Great Architecture! What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: None. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yep. Wouldn’t be right if I didn’t. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Of course. How did you hear about us?: Planet Minecraft Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: Nope. This is the first. In-Character: Character Name: Elerosse What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): High Elf/Wood Elf. Half and Half. But looks more like a High Elf, and certainly tries to act more like one. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): No one can quite say why Elerosse’s father and mother fell in love, or how the event occurred, and they would never tell a soul themselves. What can be said is that they did, and they ran away, Elerosse’s High Elven father telling those who were concerned with his leaving that he was only going to travel for a time and he would return soon. Together they ran off into the wild to hide themselves there. That was where they gave birth, first to Alirya, and then to Elerosse. Elerosse was never much of a fighter, and it was obvious he wasn’t even when he was a child. He was born in the wild in secret, along with his sister who is eleven years older than he. Unlike his sister however, his high elven bloodline is dominant, with very few and obscure hints of his wood elf mother. His blonde hair, golden tinted skin, and green eyes, as well as his height, are certainly not giving away any secrets of his past. Growing up, Elerosse and his sister got along very well, and Elerosse idolized his sister. He was quieter than she was, though he was far more willing to associate himself with others than she was, and he found a joy in learning things she never really cared for, but still she was his idol. When they were both still young, Alirya was attacked by bandits while hunting, and left to die. Growing worried about her, their mother sent Elerosse to find her. He discovered her half dead on the ground and managed to carry her back home as quickly as he could, calling for his mother to help her. Alirya recovered, but she was never quite the same, always quieter and more vengeful. As Elerosse grew, it became more and more apparent how much he loved to learn and grow, studying everything that came across his path. He had a thirst for knowledge that was never quite satisfied. Unfortunately, living in the wild as they were, the knowledge available to him was very limited, and eventually Elerosse’s father had nothing more to teach him. Elerosse became depressed, though he did what he could to hide his pain as he went through the daily tasks that his mother and sister found to be just fine for their lives. Of course, Elerosse’s father understood his son’s pains at living this kind of life. Still, Elerosse’s father knew that if Elerosse were brought back to Normandor to live and learn there, he would be scorned and shunned by the High Elves for his mixed blood. Finally, Elerosse’s father decided that he would take Elerosse to Normandor without claiming him as his son. He would say that he found the child with bandits, and saw his High Elven bloodline. He took the boy in and they had been traveling companions for some time. That was the story he told when he returned to Normandor with his son, leaving his wife and daughter in the forest. Elerosse loved Normandor, and he spent time wandering the city in awe of everything and everyone he came across. He was accepted as a High Elf, though always treated a bit differently for his unknown beginnings. Eventually however, his father couldn’t bear to be separated from the other two for so long, and so he took up the pretense of “traveling again” leaving his son in the care of Normandor. One day, he just never came back. Elerosse never discovered what became of his father, but he continued to study what he could and learn in Normandor, which he claimed as his new home, always keeping a watchful eye out for his father, mother, or sister, should they ever come to Normandor. What are your Character's ambitions?: He doesn’t often think much about ambition, but he would love to be a leader, knowing more than others. He’s a bit prideful in that fact, and to have someone know something before he does causes him some pain. He does everything he can to learn every piece of news before everyone else does. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Most likely a book, or a slip of parchment. In fact, the “tool” he uses most, if you can call it a tool, would very likely be a bird, seeing as it can send and receive information quickly. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? He is quite good at sneaking around and listening to conversations that he probably shouldn’t be listening to. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): Other Information about your Character: Elerosse has very little knowledge of how money works. He spends with reckless abandon for anything he needs, and rarely sees the importance of the stuff, even though he isn’t particularly rich. Open-Response-Questions Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Elerosse doesn’t even notice the characters fighting at first. Instead he goes on his way nonchalantly, his nose stuck almost completely against a piece of parchment as he reads whatever is there. He hesitates as he finally gets to the scene, studying what is in front of him for a moment as it registers in his head that the Halfling is being robbed. Once, of course, he realizes what is going on, he quickly begins to walk backwards toward the Cloud temple again. By this time, the robbers have noticed him, and likely judging by his rich clothing, he is now a target even more so than the little Halfling. At this time, Elerosse sees fit to remove his sword holding it out in front of him to defend himself, still slowly edging backwards and looking around to see if anyone is around to help him. Two against one isn’t very fair chances, and he knows that if no one comes soon, he’s going to end up losing everything nice on him. Knowing this, Elerosse most likely would offer the smallest amount he can probably get away with for the bandits to let him go by. If they take it, Elerosse would give it to them and then run as fast as he possibly could back toward the Cloud Temple. If they didn’t, he would still run toward the Cloud Temple as fast as he possibly could, though whether he was caught or not would greatly depend on the bandits. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Elerosse would likely request to look at all the books and other such items that the man has, probably becoming a bit frightening in his intense determination to clean the man out of all such items. Seeing as he’s in Alras and not in Normandor where the merchants might be more used to his strange manner, no doubt the elf would find that the guards disagreed with his manner, as the merchant calls them over, begging them quietly to get this strange elf away from him before he scares away all other customers. Once the guards ask Elerosse to leave, Elerosse might realize exactly what he seems like to this man and apologize carefully, offering the man a high price for any of the wares the man can give him. The merchant, realizing exactly how “rich” this elf is, would probably quickly change his mind and offer the elf anything that might interest him. As he offers things both good for studying, and good for writing or reading, Elerosse would likely buy everything off of him and take it home happily having spent his life savings. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Finding the contents to be fairly boring and useless, Elerosse would likely move on, ignoring the items. If however, they had an item that he had never seen before, he would take it quickly and eagerly, without much thought to the importance to the owner or to anyone at all who might want to keep the items, or need them more than Elerosse needs them. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Elerosse would likely ask to borrow a map and some food. If they didn’t happen to have a map, but only directions, and he would have to pay for food, Elerosse would offer everything that he had to get the food and directions, and then be on his way, completely oblivious to the camp afterwards. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Elerosse would watch from a distance, for the first time in a long time silent as he watches, thinking and missing his sister. He knows he cannot return to her or the rest of his family, but he would certainly be tempted to try for a little while. He retreats into his room to pack his things, ready to go back to the home in the wilds that he once lived in, but after a time he realizes that he can’t possibly return to Normandor after that trip and has to sit in silence in his room for awhile, just thinking about whether he would sacrifice his life in Normandor for his family, who went through all the trouble just to get him to the capital and get him integrated into the society. Then he sighs, unpacks again, and goes back outside to watch for the outcome of the battle. Anything else you would like to say?: Not really.
