A Strange Disease

As you go about your daily routine in Arethor, you see a armed and armored man walk through the front gate, ignoring the guards orders to remove weapons and armor. He has a mightily grim and troubled look on his face as he shouts out to all those who can hear.

"I come with a warning, people of Arethor!" says he, motioning to all those in the courtyard.

"Many farmers and hunters have begun to sight a strange sickness sweeping through the land, much similar to the Great Plague ten years ago."

"Animals and crops alike have been seen sickly and dead throughout the Counties of Somerset, Stolistes, Ridgeworth and Ildon, along with a handful of people.

"Be on your guard, and if you spot this disease, kill whatever has it, and then burn it, with no hesitation. Even if it is your own kin."

You watch the man slowly turn around as he finishes his speech, leaving the Crownlands, headed back for Ildon County.
