Definitions

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is:

Roleplaying, or RP, is exactly what it sounds like; Playing the role of a character. You create a fictional character and think and act as that character would in the situations presented to them.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is:

To influence the player or players IC with OOC knowledge. Giving the person who is meta-gaming an non-RP advantage over the other player or players. For example using a mini map would be meta gaming. Or another example is meeting someone IC for the first time and saying 'Hello James.' You could not know his name was James unless OOC you looked at the name tag over him.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is:

To force something on a player and not give him a chance to counter what is being done to him. so if a police man did it on another sever it would go something like 'Michael picks up a wand and waves it in the air causing Luke to die.' This is power-emoting because it is forcing this death onto the player he can't do anything about it.

His father showed him plants that can be cooked and eaten and others which could not be. By the age of 22 Michael was a master of survival and could kill and cook animals with ease. Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

I have been travelling for many days and am in need of new items. Noticing he is in need of business I walk up to him and inquire of what he has for sale. Buying all I need I give him a bit of extra money and continue hoping to find other people with item I need.

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I run up to them and try despondently to stop the situation from becoming violent. As I try and settle the tension I keep backing towards the sleeping monk. Once I get to the monk I shake him awake and explain to him the situation. Depending what he feels is fit I act on his orders.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

I kneel down and ask the man if he is okay after being told he is fine I help him to his feet and pick up his money and hand it to him. Asking again if he is okay I pull out a hand full of coins and offer it to the old man and say it is for and new stick. After he does not accepted it he gives me a few coins for my trouble. On accepting the coins I pick up a branch from the ground chop bits off with my knife and hand it to the man as a temporary replacement. Saying good bye and thank you I continue walking down the road.

Meta-Gaming l Power-Emoting l Role-Playing

Good job providing an example for your meta-gaming definition.

pfeX3.png

Pros:

  • You have pretty much covered everything in your biography. No major problems that I see.

Cons:

  • However, the whole parents being dead at your birth is still a bit cliché. You'd be surprised. We get that kind of thing a lot. However, it is better then having your parents kidnapped or being slaughtered by orcs. So I suppose I can let that slide.

Cons:

  • You have failed to do as asked last time. The previous reviewer of your last application asked you to expand on your ORQs. What he meant by that is that he wanted you to add more detail to your application. Add more information on why your character did what he did. Add more emotes, dialogue, etc.

Your THAT close to acceptance. Sweep up those little details. And I am positive you will be accepted.
