In-Character Details

Character Name: Alexik Blackhair

Character Race: Human, Halfling

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

I was sired 24 years ago by Mungo Blackhair, a fine cook, and one of the most renowned in the vale. My mother, Margaery, had no trouble getting me out, me being the youngest of five. My older brothers and sisters were varied in their traits, Adam being a keen fiddler, Thom learning from my father the way of cooking, and my sisters, outgoing in the extreme, and always the last to go to bed. I had also,my own special trait, acquired from my mother she always said, although my brothers would always prefer to listen to me. I was born already with the green eyes and black hair that aresignature to my father’s, and now my own, line. I was of average height and build for a baby, not too chubby anywhere, nor too thin.

I grew up quickly it is said, atleast for a hobbit, as I was walking by only 15 months, and talking by the same time (Although it must be said, my talking was nonsensical, consisting more of demands for strange things such as; ‘Huggy-wup!’and ‘Wizzle!’). As I grew up my mother and father both tried to teach me their specialisation but it was my mother’s I took to with a passion. Music. I had the long fingers needed to play instruments, quick as well. I suppose I could’ve made a good pick-pocket if I had been so inclined, but not many Halflings are. I grew up with the only instrument that I could afford; a flute. Requiring no complex strings like many other fine instruments mine was simply a peice of carved wood, and with it, or so I am told, I can work wonders. My favourite styles are, of course, the happy ones and then those that calm me down (why I need to be calmed down is something I shall tell also). So it was I grew up playing my flute, and earning some good coin from it also.

No, as to why I need the calming music is a different part of my life, one I like to keep hidden. I dislike fighting greatly, and get stressed easily when I see it occur. When I reach a certain point of stressed-nes, I snap. I start spouting random words and hitting things. Some say it is amusing. Some like to set me against chickens. Some get a bit afraid. I don’t remember any of it.

Anyhow, that’s about all about me. Hope you enjoyed my little tale.

What are your characters ambitions?: To learn how to play the lute, a stringed instrument, as well as he can his flute. He likes the idea of being competent at two different instruments that have similar sounding names.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:I have attached it to my post.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: No, I believe I have explained all.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

I look at the poor dwarf, seeing his poverty in his stained clothes, and dirty beard. Feeling sympathetic, I walk up to him and strke up a conversation. “What do you sell?” “Cobblestones and some coal.” I look down, and see the small heap of coal, thinking of the large piles I have sitting back at home next to my cosy fire. I shrug and hand him some money, way too much to warrant the cost of the coal. He looks at the money, disbelieving as I sweep the coal into my bag and walk off, smiling.

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I look at the Orc, cringing at his big arm movements. The muscles under that rough green skin seem enormous. I look at the cowring dwarf, who although strong, is atleast half the height of the Orc. Sighing I look away, shaking, my right eye twitching while I listen to the furious bellows coming from only a few yards away. I suddenly hear a thump, and turn around instictivly to find the Orc holding an empty bag, a pile of ores scattered on the floor beneath. I sigh, and upon catching my eye the dwarf does so also, recognizing there is no help to be had from me.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

I quickly gather up the coins, handing them to the old man. Once done, I grab a small branch of a small tree by the side of the road, break it off by sitting upon it and handing it to the old man. I talk to him for a bit, asking him why he is headed to Malinor. As we are both heading the same way we set off together, talking all the while and striking up a good friendship.
