In-Character Details

Character Name:Algrod Smith

Character Race:Human, Northener

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Algrod was born and raised in a medium-sized hunting village, far northern than most. He was quite large growing up, and eventually came to his full height at 6'4. He wasn't the skinniest soul, and he was quite muscular. His daily routine usually consisted of archery training, and picking wheat from the fields. Algrod's mother passed away in a bandit attack one dreadful morning, in the wee hours of the day. He learned then that he should hold his life more dearly, and developed an arrogant attitude. His father often helped him train more often after this event, to which is he thankful for. Algrod soon became one of the top hunters in his tribe, as he neared the end of his teenage days.

As he grew older, he witnessed many events unfold, which often left a toll on him. One major event was the savage murdering of his father, which led him to seek revenge. Driven mad by the will to avenge his father, he was nearly killed trying to redeem him. Luckily, a pair of adventurers came across the wounded Algrod, and took him back to his village. He healed slowly, but eventually he was well enough to continue. He gathered what money he had left, and began a trek for a better life. Algrod soon came to a large port town, and that is where he resides today. These days, at the age of 34, he works as a blacksmith. He fits the profile of one, as he is a tall, muscular man. He purchased a small cottage with the money he has earned, and was able to make a decent living. Algrod is respected among the town's warriors, and he is treated as one of them, due to his archery skills. Rarely does he hunt, as the city relies on the fishing industry. While he may appear mean and bloodthirsty, he is often seen giving money to the poor, and helping out among the town's workers.

What are your characters ambitions?: To improve upon his archery skills, as he takes pride in that. He also looks forward to settling down and starting a family, after his adventures die down.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

I couldn't help but notice the short lad, and how desperate he wanted to make a living. The dwarf's deep voice called out, advertising the many wares he sold. I was in need of some arrows, and I had some extra coin in my pockets. As the day was settling, I pulled the money required, and with a little extra, handed it over to the shopkeeper.

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I hear the shrill voice of the frightened dwarf, and I knew he was in trouble. Wondering why the Orc would be threatening the dwarf, so I slowly slipped out my dagger. As I trotted over towards the two, the Orc's eyes caught a glimpse of my weapon, and tensed up. "Leave this man alone..you don't want any trouble, do you?", I persuaded, and slowly the Orc backed away.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?:

I heard the coin clattering to the ground as the poor man fell, and I uttered a quick gasp. I hoped the man wasn't too hurt, as I reached down to help him up. I was glad to see that he had suffered but a few bruises, as I picked up the fallen coin. I pulled out a small sack, put the Minas into it, and handed it to the elder. I offered the man a cane to walk on, to which he gladly accepted.
