Maradin Bronzebeard 2 Share Posted September 13, 2012 The Fight The arrow swerves straight past my cheek, slightly skimming my face. I charge with my arm pulled back and my sword ready to strike. *Cling* Blood pours from his arm, his weakened. I raise my arm and strike my opponent once more, this time I’ve cut his hand and his dropped his bow. I bend over him quietly pulling out my blade and slicing his neck. The blood pours down onto the grass floor. I step back up. I have wounds in my right ribs and can barely walk. I huddle through the forest, blood dripping from my chest. The Mine As I’m almost at the end of the forest line I see a mine entrance. The carts full of iron and coal. The wooden planks holding up the cave ready to rot away. I think to myself there may be someone in there that can help me. As I walk in and out of the mine cart tracks I notice the moss hanging from the roof. I slowly walk up to a moss covered wall and slide my finger down. The moss has a slickly feeling to it. I start to wonder if I should just turn back now. I wipe the moss onto my leather leg straps which are almost turning to scrap. I slowly walk down a shaft as I see a dead end ahead. I turn to the side of a wall in which moss is covering a soft of entrance. I push them aside. I feel dirty water dripping down my sleeves as I move the moss aside. There is three leavers. That all seem to be positioned one way. The stone looks crafted and the wood is almost rotted. I temp myself not to move any of them. But I attempt to pull one down. The wood almost breaks but makes it through the push. I hear a loud gear changing sort of sound. I look back out of the shaft and see nothing really changed. I slowly walk around the corner and look down at the moss which is now blood red. I walk down the shaft which smells of iron and coal. I slam against the wall. “Arrrgh!” My rib suddenly felt like it shot out of my body. A large chunk of flesh drops to the floor. I know my time is short and consider this being my last adventure. My body is shutting down as I hold myself up on the wall. I take a step when something clicks. The floor beneath my just pulls itself away. I throw my hands up griping onto a long piece of moss which is stuck into the cobblestone. I look down seeing boiling hot magma. It spits up making sounds as boiling water would. I try hugging the piece of moss knowing that my life is with it. I try to force my weight one way to another. I almost reach the corner as the moss snaps. My gut drops as so do I. I tumble down hitting the sides of the stone and busting myself open. I have my final gasp of breath before my time is up.
