new to minecraft

Hello all, I'm 24 my name is Brandon and I am in the US Navy. I'm currently stationed in San Diego, CA. I've been looking for an oldschool MMO to play forever and one of my friends suggested I take a look at MineCraft. Well I did take a look I've heard of it before but never actually got around to trying it out, and man am I glad that I did. Just the level of immursion that you can get into is amazing. I love the way you can build virtually anything you want and then you have to learn how to make weapons and armor, its just mind-blowing. Well I can't think of what else to say other than that I look forward to playing with all of you.

ps. I was wondering if there is a way I can check out the world before submitting an application.

You can log in before you're officially accepted and explore the world as a Wandering Soul. Basically, you can fly and look around, but no one can see you, nor can you interact with the world.
