In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: The act of role-playing is, essentially, to make a character in your mind or game, and enact each and every phase of his life in your mind or with the others around you. It is also an adventure with you and your character that friends and foes can also share into advancing or slowing down.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming is using sources outside of the game to influence your choices in a way that can change the game or make it harder for other people.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: It is where a player will not tolerate any defeat at all and basically god-modes and forces the story to stop them from having misfortune.

In-Character Details

Character Name: Rizen Steel-Heart

Character Race:[/colr] Human.

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Rizen Steel-Heart, born simply ‘Rizen’ was part of a town of humans living close to an Orc tribe. Rizen was born with an affinity with weapons and fighting, only encouraged by the members of the town who lived so close to the war-loving Orcs. Rizen was, for some unknown reason, born with strange yellow eyes that seemed to be able to identify the way the opponent was moving to attack. He was always taller than average, but was always clumsy outside of a fight. He is now slightly deranged and violent, with a fierce hatred of Orcs, due to the incident that left him the sole remaining member of his town.

A strong warrior, who could best most Orcs in battle, was asked for marriage by the Orc Chief’s daughter. When he refused, as he was already courting the older sister of Rizen, the Orc woman, who was filled with rage and hate, told a lie to her father about the proceedings that sent him into a fierce rage. He at once organized an attack on the town.

They struck that night at midnight, killing all in the village except for Rizen, who had gone hunting when he couldn’t sleep. He watched in horror as the Orcs killed, pillaged and ate his family and friends. An Orc who was stumbling in his battle-rage towards the forest dropped his weapon and charged at Rizen, who rolled away, grabbed the Orcs weapon and shoved it up into his chest. The blow from the Orc’s flailing hands struck him and Rizen fell unconscious, but the Orc’s blood made him look dead. After the attack, the chief’s daughter’s treachery was unearthed, and she was killed on the spot by her father who vowed her name will never be spoken again as anything but a curse, known only to Rizen and the Orcs that had made his life so miserable. The name was Retháin.

Later he was picked up and looked after by a caravan of surface dwarves, who raised him and gave him his second name, due to his cold, hard heart. Rizen has a strong love for dwarves as a people. The guards of the caravan tough him how to fight with an axe, though Rizen soon surpassed them in skill.

Rizen now travels from town to town, never staying long and making few friends outside dwarves. Also, in his rage-filled, deranged state sometimes, though rarely, falls into, he will kill any near him. Also, the mere sight of an Orc will make him so rage-filled that he will not notice damage until the Orc is dead or taken away from the vicinity around him. Rizen often enters into berserker states in big, large scale battles.

What are your characters ambitions?: To forget his past, and vanquish the Orcs from the world

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: He may be snapped out of his rages by dwarves who are very good friends of his. He is of the age of 23, eleven years since his town was attacked, and the only survivor of the attack.

Open-Response-Questions

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I give him a half the contents of my purse, as well as food and drink from the nearest inn and spread word of his product being very good. Also I would stop and by his products often.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I enter my battle rage and run a the Orc, in an attempt to stop him hurting the race who I love, and also to kill him and clear the world of another worthless Orc. I would battle with him, and try to use my speed and weapon skills against his strength and damage soaking body, going for leg shots and head shots with my favoured weapon, the axe. Once I cleaved his head off and helped the dwarf up, I would walk off without another word, tending to wounds later.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I would go up to him and help him up, use some of the thread and needle that I carry to sew up his bag, and replace the contents, without taking any. Then I would help him up and fashion him a new stick form a nearby tree, I would also walk with him for a bit down the road till I knew he could cope on his own, before continuing off my way.
