Rusty7x 114 Share Posted October 31, 2012 Grungin Thorekeg A mountain dwarf shunned by the nation for a number of years and was forced to live in solitude away from any kind of being. Some say it was due to his weak strength, others say it was his poor ability to socially communicate with his brethren dwarfs. Perhaps it was both but he does not understand. His father was not much help; a poor and drunkard dwarf. Never had much going for him in the way of life just a small pick and a few spare minas. Then his mother was not much either, nothing but a petty wh**e. Living off money she could get from anyone in any way. She spent every penny on food and small accommodation for herself and her son whilst his father was far away romancing other low lives and animals. The younger years were nothing pretty by any standard. Living in squalor and wretched accommodation moving from back ally to camp and back again. There was little food let alone enough to sufficiently sustain the both of them yet the managed to persevere through the ages. Before long they were both at work, his mother in a small tavern earning little to nothing and Grungin at a small mine. However, due to his malnourishment and poor quality of life, he quickly found himself lacking behind with the amount of work. He was not able to strike the pickaxe on the rock hard enough to create the ideal sized stone bricks. He would soon find himself out of work and unable to rely upon his mother. Sleepless nights Grungin spent lain upon the rough cobble of the back street roads. Covered in nothing but a thin, torn blanket and dirt, he led there nothing to live for. Scrounging any money he could and picking out of waste areas eating anything he could to survive. Oddly, Grungin had one thing for himself. A weird trait that he had always had and never able to build upon. His knowledge of the land and its ways. Being sat in the gusty winds and the seemingly endless nights Grungin has had the chance to sit and watch as the realm moves through the seasons and the distant heavens that shine so bright in the night sky. Over his time, Grungin had grown fond of the night sky and what it holds. The heavens and sanctuary of the mythical beings foretold in stories across the realm. The glittery ceiling that shelters us from the world above. It is all such a mystery for everyone and especially intriguing for Grungin. Sat by himself, Grungin wanders off into his imagination thinking and playing with thoughts of what is really sat there in front of us all. The sky above our heads is a marvel to his eyes.
