Perhaps make some sort of tournament for all the races. It would be hosted by different cities each year, like the Olympics. It could be PvP or RP, or both. Something everyone can watch.

My two cents: try to rebalance the playerbase so non-human races can RP as well. It's starting to straighten out, but try.

More engaging events + Cause for leaving to go back into Asulon map when things are fixed = Win.

What I mean is we need to have some sort of end game climax wherein when all the issues are fixed, you hold the largest event you can imagine, threatening the entire existence of the islands, forcing them to leave and finally discover Asulon :D

I was thinking that there should be some sort of trial system for positions such as FM, AT, VAT, etc. A person should be able to go in for, say, 2 weeks, and then show them either how awsome they are at their job and that they do indeed fill the position well, or show their true colors and show that they're lazy, bad at it, etc. This could allow for some new, fresh blood in the mix, and would allow the actual members of the teams to be as good as they possibly can be.

Like everybody else said, but I feel it's important, we need a staff overhaul. Burnt out people, lazy people, inactive people, they should go. Even if they're cherished loved, whatever, I think it's important for the staff to be a working machine, and then I'm sure people would be happier and everybody would get along better.

That is how the VAT is run actually, they come in and have a trial period. They are given an older VAT as a "mentor" to train them, and if things dont work we cut out ties with them.

Peoples concerns about the magic plugin, I will direct one of our coders here. As they know more about it than myself and can tell you how it is going / what the priority on it is.

For events we have had several more ET applications sent in since this thred. So events from the event team may be more frequent. But keep in mind you do not need event team to host an event yourselfs.

As rewards for voting comes in. Several of the staff have been discussing this but have not come to a decision. But I will tell you, personally I feel you should vote because you want to assist the server be noticed. And not because you will get some pocket change or something else as a reward. (just my opinion)

1) Bring back the monthly donation package reward to those that vote the most in a month. That solves the problem of rewards.

2) If it isn't done yet, have mobs drop their regular drops in addition to minas.

3) Events that encourage the formation of armies or factions in the temp server. All I see are ragtag villages surrounded by unprotected farms... I like Cyndikate's idea of pirate clans.

4) Since this is an alternate timeline from Asulon and not canon lore, perhaps to end it off you can have some sort of mega-event that slaughters most of the island population and unleashes havoc. It'd be fun to see who survives, and since it's not in the regular history it won't affect anybody's work.
