Role-playing:

Role-playing is pretending to be someone else in a fictional world.  That means I have to improvise to a given situation.

Meta-gaming:
That’s using information that normally my character shouldn’t know. For example the name plates above player heads. We simply have to pretend we don’t see them.

Power-emoting:
It’s a game of word to gain advantage. That’s simply playing a god. For example: “Dorimlion scared him so much he couldn’t move.”

Full Name: Dorimlion Vilkas

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

         Dorimlion was raised underground in a small settlement. Their house wasn’t big. There was a small forge where his father used to work. Dorimlion’s father was very religious and he dedicated his hard work to Yemekar. His parents were cave dwarves. His father taught him everything about smithing and mining. When Dorimlion was 14, he got lost in a mine. He was alone in a dark cave surrounded by dangers. But a proud dwarf doesn’t give up that easily. Dorimlion did his best to survive. Young dwarf did pretty well in a cave. He even managed to craft a stone sword. After  3 days of wandering in darkness he saw a light, the end of the tunnel. He has never seen something like this before. His parents have never taken him to the surface.  Nothing could stop a curious dwarf. Dorimlion was slowly moving towards the light. The light started to burn his eyes, but he didn’t stop. He was covering his eyes and he kept moving forward. And then he felt it – the fresh air, the sunlight on his skin. He opened his eyes and the view was amazing. That’s when he made his decision to become an adventurer. His life goal was to travel around the whole Elysium. It was getting darker. Dorimlion was very confused. He missed his parents very much. He tried to remember the tales his father told him. The tales about dwarven fortresses, the high kings and dragons slayed by Khell Ireheart. He told about great battles which took many brave dwarves, the hordes of undead taking dwarven lives and cities. The old dwarf used to serve in The Legion and fought against orcs  in the Battle of the Sands. His father especially missed Karik, the old dwarven capital in Asulon. Dorimlion suddenly felt tired so he lied down by the cave entrance and fell asleep. His parents were looking for him desperately since the youngling got lost. After 4 days of searching they found him sleeping at the cave entrance. A tired and hungry dwarf came back home and started to live normally again. But from now on he was visiting the surface regulary.

      Dorimlion continued his quiet life in a cave. He was helping his father every day and his father was teaching him how to survive in wilderness. Dorimlion is 49 now. He decided to start traveling as soon as he turns 50.  The young dwarf can’t wait to see mighty dwarven strongholds or elven forests. The great adventure awaits!       
    

Ambitions for the Future: Dorimlion wants to become an adventurer.  His goal is to visit every capital city of each nation and befriend with other races. (Except the orcs. His parents taught him not to trust orcs.)

Personality: Very stubborn, patient, likes spending his time in company, he is open for new experiences, curious. His lust of ale and recklessness often leads him to many problems. 

Skills: His father taught him how to smith. Dori knows how to craft a solid weapon for a dwarf. He can also mine (I guess every dwarf can). Dorimlion’s father taught him how to fight and defend himself. He knows how to survive in wilderness.

Dorimlion has brown, long and braided hair. His beard is tied into two braids with golden rings. He is usually wearing his work clothes with a massive belt.

Dorimlion was always afraid to loose his honor.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.

1.
Whilst mining deep in the undergrounds of Kalos you see a large deposit of diamond ore at the other side of the ravine you are on. There is a very thin rock bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is the only way to access the deposit. What do you do?

Answer: The dwarf really wanted to own that shiny diamond. Dorimlion slowly approached the stone bridge and he started inspecting it. The bridge looked solid so Dorimlion decided to take the risk. He made his first step – nothing happened. Then he made a second one and a third one… He was half way there when suddenly he heard the stone bridge crack. The dwarf panicked and started to run. The whole bridge was falling apart. Dorimlion jumped and landed on the other side of the ravine. The diamond was his, but now he had to find a new way back.

2. You are sitting in the local tavern with a large pint of ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a rather young dwarf whom is clearly going through a bad time. He is crying to himself, and clutching a small wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room two shady dwarves are sitting whispering to each other and pointing occasionally at the dwarf. They stand up, one with a small dagger in his hand and begin to approach the young dwarf. What do you do?

Answer: The shady dwarves were getting closer. Dorimlion reacts quickly. He stands up and shouts “ ‘ey fellas! ‘Ave a drink on me!”. (A real dwarf can’t refuse a free mug of ale). The shady dwarfs fall asleep and Dorimlion decides to take care of the poor dwarf. He asks the bartender if there are any free rooms for rent. Luckily there is one left. Dorimlion pays for the room and leads the poor dwarf to safety.

3. Whilst wandering through the Dwarven Caverns you hear a voice call out to you; “Oi, ye’! C’mere n’ get ye’rself an ale!”. You spin on your heel and see a heavily bearded bar-owner looking at you - a huge grin on his face, and a mug of ale in his hand. How do you react?

Answer: Dorimlion would gladly accept a gift like that, but accepting a drink from a stranger isn’t very smart. Unfortunately Dorimlion feels the lust of ale which is stronger than him. So he approaches the dwarf and says “Give me the biggest mug of finest ale!” The bar-owner gives a mug of ale to Dorimlion and finds one for himself. It turned out the bar-owner is a kind dwarf. Dorimlion is happy he got a free ale after a hard day.

Dori wakes up the next day at the same spot where he met the dwarf. The dwarf is gone and every Dorimlion's pocket is empty.
