History

Morpheus Erebus Amethill, a normal, intelligent, and curious High Elf child was born to Kassandra and Duran Amethill. His early childhood was a swell one, with no worries and a library filled with thousands of books. The light brown-haired boy did what he wanted, his parents showing him all their love. As Morpheus grew, Kassandra and Duran started to worry that his brown hair  looked impure, and that they would be criticized by other High Elves for having such a child.

They took their worry out on their son Morpheus. Kassandra yelled at him for having that bushy light brown hair that was so undesirable. Duran felt that he was not learning enough and scolded him daily about how the other High Elf children were much more intelligent. Morpheus became angry, then rather depressed and began to hide himself in the basement of their large, silver home. There he found his father's unused alchemy set with many  ingredients, and directions of the different herbs and which to make what potions with.

So the basement became Morpheus' retreat for many years. There he hid from his critical parents, and studied alchemy. As the years of insults and scolding passed, Morpheus eventually developed the Intermittent Explosive Disorder. He became angry when his parents criticized him, and openly defied and yelled at them. He thrashed with his arms, and broke expensive and exquisite vases. At first his parents did not know what to make of this. Later on, instead of helping Morpheus and trying to undo or at least calm his disorder, they called him impure and a minor High Elf. This obviously did not help the young boy's self-confidence or disorder. He continued to be angry, and retreated more often to the basement, which became his room.

Kassandra and Duran gave no mercy, hoping to whip Morpheus up into an intelligent and pure High Elf. Though the perfect and most certainly pure High Elf couple had to deal with the problem of their child, a problem between the two also arose. Their relationship began to fall apart. Duran slowly began to realized over the centuries that he loved Kassandra for her extreme and unnerving beauty. Her grace attracted him too much, and he blindly fell for her. On the other hand, Kassandra at first truly did fall for Duran, his intelligence and beautiful poems. Later on after Morpheus was born she began to grow tired of him. The two were just not meant for each other, and in staying forever together suddenly didn't sound good to either of them.

At one point, Duran came to full realization of his emotions, and the centuries that his mind was clouded by Kassandra. He came to tell her they could not be together anymore, and from that moment, the House of the Amethill family thundered with shouting, and yelling. Kassandra did not wish to be left so abruptly. Her husband had the money, the poetic nature, and though she did not like him it was better than nothing. For three days they argued, and Morpheus listened from the foot of the steps to the basement, falling asleep there as the argument ceased and the two went to bed, only to start the yelling all over again the next day.

Morpheus, not understanding relationships grew to hate his father even more for wanting to so suddenly leave his mother. He thought that maybe it was all his father’s fault for the way they both treated him. Eventually his two parents came to a conclusion that they would divorce. Duran changed his last name to Razier, to show his disgust for the name he once shared with his wife and son, thus he stormed out and went off. Morpheus' IED allowed him to go into a raging fit, and leave the living room to look like a large blob of glass, and wood, broken by his fists and rage.

After his father left, Morpheus stayed with his mother for a little while longer, and then was of age to leave and start his own life. So he left his mother in her depressed state, taking his alchemy set with him, and with that he started to create and sell potions for a living. A few days he slept within a tent, until he had enough money to buy a small home. There he resided and began to try to communicate with other Elves, something he did very rarely back at home. At times he would take out his pent up anger on anyone that provoked him at the slightest or reminded him of his wretched childhood. When his pent up anger and hate had been expressed he shook his head every time, wondering why he wasn't able to control it.

The years passed, and Morpheus' IED did not dissipate. Aegis fell and Morpheus climbed on the boat, feeling like he was going somewhere aimlessly, with no goal, and nothing to look forward to. All he had were his potions, a mental disorder, and his meaningless and depressing life. So he continued onward. When the boat landed in Asulon, he stayed in a tent for some time, occupying himself with the brewing of potions. Occasionally a child would pass him, reminding him of his own childhood. As this happened Morpheus would emit a shriek of rage and his head steamed with anger. Then he would calm down and continue his potion-making.

Eventually Morpheus heard of a High Elven city, within Malinor. He decided that though his kind may be too much of a reminder, perhaps their intelligence would help him get rid of his pent up and uncontrollable anger.  The next day he began his journey to Haelun’or. It took him three days and two nights to arrive at the silver gates. When he entered the beautiful silver city as he entered a science fair was commencing. For once in his life Morpheus had fun interacting with others, and the interesting science fair kept his disorder from overtaking him. So Morpheus spent the next few days living in the massive inn at Haelun’or. He was happy, until the day he met Drecar Razier. When he figured out his last name was Razier, he went into a fit, and ran into the library to hide himself. His loathing of his past and his father began again, and he screamed in rage, while being all alone. How dare his father mate with another High Elf? How dare he be so impure? These are the thoughts that ran through Morpheus’ mind and slowly began to increase his insanity. All the insults of the past came flowing into his mind.

To occupy himself and attempt to live with this thought peacefully. Morpheus took on a rather interesting project, which had fascinated him very much, the elixir of life.  Having read on the subject years ago, Morpheus thought he was capable of creating the potion without much trouble. For days he locked himself up in the Apothecary he had borrowed from Koyalt Alfakyn. There he brewed his potion, and failed many times.  Then a light bulb lit up.  “It wouldn’t be so easy to make an Elixir of life,” Morpheus thought. “One would have to show his great desire for it,” he continued thinking with a smirk. So he went outside of Haelun’or and gazed upon a roaming sheep. He did not know that Drecar was at the gates, watching. Morpheus took out a knife and stabbed the sheep using its blood for the potion. When it failed he screamed in anger and turned to see Drecar running back into the gates of Haelun’or.

For the next few months he dealt with the hated Drecar and the other High Elves he began to loathe.  Though Drecar failed to prove Morpheus made such a potion, he began to harass him, just like his parents did. He called him impure, unintelligent, insane, and many other insulting words. Morpheus went insane, constant bursts of his disorder made him tired and hateful. His thoughts were clouded and he began to hate everybody for what had happened to him.

The poor sensitive Elf even developed another disorder, and went completely insane, with not a strand of happy thought left in his mind. This disorder he developed is called Schizophrenia. Morpheus began having auditory hallucinations of another voice urging him to express his hate fearlessly, and kill the High Elven people. Morpheus’ High Elven mind thought this was a second personality. Morpheus even named his second personality Moros, and held a very strong delusion that Moros was indeed his second personality.  While sleeping one night, Morpheus got up and sleep-walked to his medicine cabinet. The he took out a needle, and blinded his right eye. The next morning, when Morpheus awoke and saw his silver and blinded eye in the mirror he claimed Moros could see through it, and went about his daily business. This proved that the delusion of Moros was held strongly within Morpheus’ subconscious state as well.

As the days past few words escaped Moros’ mouth from within Morpheus’ head. As the weeks went on Moros became more influential and urged Morpheus to kill and like it. So Morpheus did kill, at first he killed a cow in Delonna’s farm. He laughed madly as he did this, actually enjoying it. Twisted ways of death ran through his brain, and the endless possibilities made him grin.

With that Morpheus accepted his destiny to be an insane murderer, and end the High Elves. He denounced his purity, and dyed his hair a silky black, leaving some strands of dark brown hair to blend in. He let his bangs flow over his silver right eye. He will end the people of Haelun’or first, and then move on to the others, just for the sake of his own hatred.
