Legion Defense

Important note: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE LEGION POST. DO SO NOW, IT IS VITAL THAT YOU DO SO. SO THAT YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE LEGION. If you have a question that need be answered that cannot be answered from the post, then ask an officer or an experienced legionnaire.

Important note. All legionnaires are guards and all legionnaires are required to guard something at nearly all times unless you are participating in another organization at the moment or honing a skill such as cooking or lumbering exc. Idle Legionnaires will receive a task and are to obey orders unless given sufficient reasoning why they cannot.

The Reserves: The Reserves is the position legionnaires that do not report guard duty to an officer and have other responsibilities but must be called out to battle if an officer requests your presence. The Reserves will not be paid but must report to practices when told unless the Legionnaire gives good reason or cannot. If the legionnaire simply wishes not to then he will simply not take the benefit of practice. The Reserve troops can take up guard duty when they please though they are not required to and will not be payed for it. But if a legionnaire in the Reserves wishes to be part of the Guard, then they can switch and take the responsibilities of the Guard.

The Guard: The Guard is the peacetime of legionnaires who protect vital parts of the Kingdom. The Guard will be payed every elven week for their duties. The Guard will have to report their duties to an officer.

Inactivity: (Will be lenient) Those in The Guard who are missing for over an elven week will be labeled missing and will take honor penalties for every elven day thereafter for another elven week where after the second week they are missing they are presumed dead and their rank will be stripped but honor will remain. If a legionnaire wishes to regain his rank after they’ve been stripped, then they will have to go to practices in order to re familiarize with the Legion after their absence, and battles to regain the feeling of war that is required by some ranks. ((Unless you’ve stated that you will be gone before hand or aforehand that something strange and unexpected occurred, then your status will remain untouched.

Improved guarding system: Legionnaires will receive honor for guarding important locations such as

  1. Guild Halls

  2. Kings Castle

  3. Gate

Guild Hall Guards must belong to the guild hall they are guarding. This is to encourage activity among the guilds. Ironbreakers receive the privilege of guarding the kings castle and will receive additional honor.

Patrols: Legionnaires grouped in a party of 4, can patrol our lands, checking the neighboring holds and forts. One of the legionnaires

Legion Representatives: Ironbreakers receive the ability to become Legion Representatives. These representatives are selected legionnaires by an officer given the task to represent the legion in another hold. Their job is to aid the Hold as a guard, and inform the Legion of raids, so the Legion Army can march upon the battlefield to aid them.

Reporting: When reporting from a patrol, all members must be present for the report as all members should stay with one another. There is no excuses as to why anyone should be late. Exceptions are that you were either attacked and got spread out ((someone had to go)) or any other unexpected event that occurred.

Also, when reporting for duty, activity will only be reported on the elven day. If you report time or activities from any past elven day, then it will be forfeited ((Unless you have good reason or you reported but the times were not imputed. You are responsible for your honor so be responsible. Track your honor before and after reporting to make sure you get the honor you deserve.))

These changes will be implemented one elven week after the test, in the meantime, study over the Legion manifest for the test.
