A Man With A Dream Of Flight

Maletone sits at his bed for now he is a young boy around the age of 12 his ice being young and he is easily impressed but as he sits on his bed he zooms his hand over him he watches it float and soar he murmurs "Like a bird..." he used to go watch birds with his godfather many years ago but now he sits on his bed which is stone with hay over it. Bird fly why can I not? He had tried to fly before but usually ending up hurting himself.

 

He watches as birds fly past his window each having feathers and wings but that was 16 years ago...Maletone is now 28 and he is working hard in a small room in his house it is covered with designs and hundreds of failed attempts at flying he murmurs "That one broke my leg, arm and creator knows what else".

 

He keeps his eye on one plan though... that is not crossed out it his last attempt at his dream and if it comes true he may make history. He starts to work on the plan making the wood frame that look like a kite  made out of wood he straps bound leather around some of the planks and slowly sticks feathers on the wood. "This looks about right now just to get permission to do this." He walks to salvos and enters the keep. he is tired from the walk and requests to see king james II.  

 

They allow him to see him he approaches james "I wish to jump off the palace roof, but not as suicide, I wish to fly like a bird may." He pulls out his design and shows james "If you allow me of course as I would not wish to frighten your city's subjects" he gives a weak smile ((If you see this king james you can rp post your reply this is like a hang glider of wood, if you look the first hang glider was made BC and so why not now? this flight of course would only last a few seconds and I would most likely hurt myself on the landing so it doesn't seem to PG'y etc thanks for reading-aqua))
