Outside of the forests of Leumalin, if anyone go deep enough into it, you shall find a clearing. And for some reason, it smells of death. Flies in massive amounts buzz above and around a figure lying against a tree, it seemingly not moving. As you get closer, the smell of rotting flesh increases, causing you to gag at the putrid aroma of dead body.

 

But once you get a clear look at the body, the horror arises within you.

 

A well maimed, dead elf lies there, a large jagged wound on his left leg, maggots within, feasting upon the dead flesh of this elf, an ear cut off, lying on the ground beside his feet. His nose, on his lap, dry blood all over his mouth, and lower face, flies swarming around it, maggots, and various insects all over his body. Yet the horror doesn't end there. The upper lip of this poor creature is partially cut off, hanging by a strip of flesh, swinging as the flies go on and off of it. His throat is cut open, clearly revealing what killed this poor being.

 

Yet, besides a large amount of blood in the area, and on the tree, there is no sign of whom killed this innocent elf, other than footmarks on the ground, too soggy with the blood from this man to see.

 

Elves of Malinor beware, for death has come.
