Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing:

Role-playing is basically playing or acting as a character different than yourself. In the case of Lord of the Craft, you play as the character you create. You have to act to your character as well as possible, and mustn't meta-game or power-emote to provide an enjoyable experience for others.

Meta-gaming:

Using information your character doesn't know to your advantage, for example: Reading on the OOC chat that an army of 200 men are marching towards your city, and then your character alerts the officials, and they are able to intercept it. Your character did not acquire this information first-hand, but somehow, he magically knew it and told the guards.

Power-emoting:

Power-emoting is committing an action that doesn't give your opponent a chance, such as: *Adam rushes into the city and eliminates all the guards with a blink of an eye*.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name:

Lewis Nightfire.

Current Age:

25

Sub-race (if any):

No Sub-race.

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Lewis Nightfire was born into a poor family in the village of Ager in Anthos. His father was one of the farmers of Ager, supplying Abresi with food. His father worked all day out in the fields, usually returning home after the sun has long gone down and the final meal of the day already consumed by the rest of his family. His mother was the one taking care of Lewis as a baby. She would make sure Lewis was always happy and had enough to eat. Because Lewis was born into a poor family though, his mother would sometimes sacrifice her food for the baby when harvest was bad. His mother began to grow thin and weak, and soon during the cold season, she passed away from hunger.

Lewis was brought up by his father, though his absence was frequent. Lewis would wait around his small house, staring out the windows to see the farmers working in the vast fields. He spotted his father working and wished that he would come home. However, when his father actually does come home late at night, he would teach Lewis how to read and write. It took Lewis a while to learn how, but after 3 years, he was literate at the age of 11. His father would also tuck Lewis into bed and tell him stories. He told Lewis about the Fjarriauga, or Frost Witches, and how they lured people in by crying. People passing by would feel bad, and feel the need to comfort the mysterious crying lady. When they walk towards the lady, they would disappear, never heard of again. His father also told him about the Dryads in the forest. Lewis was amazed by all the mystery in the world, and wondered why he was stuck in a stupid village in a small house instead of travelling the world.

As Lewis became a teenager, his father taught him how to farm out in the fields. Lewis quickly caught on and was farming with the other people in no time. For the first few months, he got blisters on his hands from working all day out in the fields. After a while, he grew accustomed to farming. Every day when he went back to bed in his small house, he recalled all the stories his father told him, and realized he really wanted to experience these stories first-hand. The next day while out in the fields, he observed his surroundings and found the perfect route to run away. He would be covered by bushes and shrubbery, and arrive at a forest, where he would keep going, and let the road take him wherever it goes. He brought with him a book to write in and some food, along with a stone sword in case he needs to hunt or defend himself.

Ambitions for the Future:

Lewis Nightfire wishes to experience all the stories his father told him first-hand. He wants to explore every inch of Anthos, looking for adventure.

Personality:

Lewis is very kind and caring, he realizes he must be careful out in the North, because these traits will be dangerous in case he runs into a Frost Witch. Lewis also likes exploring new places.

Skills:

Lewis is a very good farmer even though it is something he dislikes. He is also good at reading and writing because he had lots of spare time as his father worked out in the fields. Lewis is not very good at handling a sword or a bow, so he fears he made the wrong decision by running away with no training.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):

64nehf.png

Lewis has dark brown hair, bright blue eyes, and pale white skin. He wears a white shirt and brown pants with a belt.

Any other details you wish to share about your character:

Nope.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperors palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer:

I stumble upon the Emperor's palace during my travels and spots a figure. I notice a dagger gripped tightly in the figures left hand. The tip seems to be coated with something that looks like poison. I shout for the guards, as I am not experienced in wielding a sword. The figure seems like a professional and I would obviously die within seconds. The guards rush to me and ask what's wrong. I point towards the figure. The figure arrived upon the palace and makes his way inside, thinking nobody noticed him. The guards run as quickly as they can, shouting for the guards inside the palace that there is an intruder. I walk calmly towards the palace and see the figure surrounded by multiple guards. The figure surrenders and drops the dagger as the guards seize both of the intruders arms and guide him toward the dungeons. I wonder what will happen to the intruder as I walk along the road to continue my journey.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer:

I hide in nearby bushes and observe the scene for a little while. The bandits push the old man to the ground. He cries out and the bandits walk inside the cottage. I rush towards the old man and pick him up. I notice that the bandits have their backs turned to me. I walk silently towards the bandits and pull out my sword. I grab one of the bandits and stick my sword through him. I knew that I would have to run soon because I only killed that bandit because his back was turned and his guard was down. I knew I couldn't take on the other bandit so I run as fast as I can. I turn back and see the old man rush inside his cottage and take something. It looks like it was something the bandits were trying to steal from the old man. The old man makes his way deep into the forest so the bandits wouldn't be able to find him. The bandit is wearing iron armor, which slows him down, giving me the advantage. After a few seconds, he stops running. I keep going until the bandit is out of sight. I slow down and smile to myself, barely escaping with my life.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer:

I walk towards the man behind the colorful stall. I have been walking for a long time, and food is all I can think about. I notice that the man is selling food. I take out a pouch with my minas. I peek inside and sigh as I notice I only have 10 minas. I tell the man that I will buy 5 loaves of broad for 5 minas.

"This bread will cost ya at least 9 minas," says the man. I sigh once more and I know that the man won't take anything below 9. I take out 9 minas. The man smiles at the sight of money. I reluctantly hand over the money and gobble down one loaf of bread. I realize that I need a job to make money so I can have a better chance of surviving. I stumble down a road and head into the first city I see, looking for a job.
