He was born in a mine, with dark brown hair and gold eyes. His father, Ogil Greytin, died a few days later, while one of the mines he was working in, collapsed. His mother knew, she wasn't able to look after her child. She decided to put him in a minecart, while she was still wiping away her tears. She left the mine. A few days later, a group dwarven-miners walked in to the mine, all singing and looking forward to the fortune. But to their surprise, there was a little, very little dwarf, crying in one of the dusty minecarts. The dwarves looked at the child. 'What should we do with this little creature?'. The dwarves didn't know, but the leader of the group decided to take Toran home and look after him. When Toran was 9 years old, his founder taught him how to mine, how to dig a mine, and how to find the ores. Toran was good at it, it was a fast learner and everything interested him. He never knew he had parents, his founder told him he was his father, and told him that he had never had a mother, just to protect him from the cruel act, that he was found in a mine. Lonely and dirty. 10 years long, Toran was exploring mines, mining ores, and mining the hard rocks. When he was an advanced miner, he knew there was more out there than only caves. He spend his time in studying some stuff, like the history of the dwarfs. He read about Urguan. The stories inspired him to discover more. 2 years after, he was an adult. His founder told him he had responsibilities now. Toran decided to travel around, meet new people, and study everything that interested him. While traveling around, blacksmithing became a important part of Toran's life. Everytime he saw a blacksmith, he had to visit it. Maybe the blacksmith was able to teach him some more? Ambitions for the Future: Become a good and experienced blacksmith and live a honorful life, and learn to fight.Personality: Toran likes eating food and making friends. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.____1. Whilst mining deep in the undergrounds of Kalos you see a large deposit of diamond ore at the other side of the ravine you are on. There is a very thin rock bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is the only way to access the deposit. What do you do?Answer: I look at the diamond ore. That's a great fortune. I look around and observate the area real quick. There's a bridge, but it looks unstable. I should try to reinforce the bridge a bit, keep my balance controlled or maybe get some help from more experienced miners. If there are none, i think i should give up and continue walking. It's not worth my life.2. You are sitting in the local tavern with a large pint of ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a rather young dwarf whom is clearly going through a bad time. He is crying to himself, and clutching a small wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room two shady dwarves are sitting whispering to each other and pointing occasionally at the dwarf. They stand up, one with a small dagger in his hand and begin to approach the young dwarf. What do you do?Answer: I stand up and block the way for the dwarves. "I didn't know it's normal to approach someone with a weapon, while staying at a tavern?". I hope the man stands back now, and if he doesn't, i should grab the dagger and put it away. "Well sir, that wasn't very respectful.". Sit down please and act polite. Especially to that kind of people. And trust me, we don't want any injuries, do we? ". If the two man sit down, i should go to the young dwarf and talk to him. "What's the matter, boy?". I should try to help him. Later on, i should walk back to the two dwarfs and say: "Do not use weapons to young ones, keep ur honor ".3. Whilst wandering through the Dwarven Caverns you hear a voice call out to you; “Oi, ye’! C’mere n’ get ye’rself an ale!”. You spin on your heel and see a heavily bearded bar-owner looking at you - a huge grin on his face, and a mug of ale in his hand. How do you react?Answer: "I'm sorry, i don't have time, my friend.". If the bar-owner is still trying to sell me an ale, i would go to him. "Alright, sell me one sir, and tell me the price. I've to go somewhere!". I should overhand the Minas and after i should drink the ale.". Although this is a bit strange. Who knows what in the drink? I ask: "Why do you sell me your drinks here? I mean, i always like drinking, but..". "You find the people at the most incommon places, my friend!", the bar-owner says. "That's true, but still, why don't you go to a tavern?", i ask. "I need my own, but i need minas for it!" He said. "Aye, but i 've to continue my walk, Goodbye!" .
ski_king3 0 Share Posted June 20, 2013 While this is quite a good start, unfortunately, I must deny you. For one, your meta-gaming definition is a bit odd, although you explain it well. However, your power-emoting definition is wrong. I would advise you go to this wiki page and read it to try and get a bit better of an understanding of these two things. Your bio, while well-written and lengthy enough, did not include quite enough server lore. Browse the wiki and the forums for a few minutes and find a few bits from the LotC universe that you can add to make your application more specific to Lord of the Craft. Your ORQ's are written a bit oddly. Every action that occurs should be definite. Rather than saying "I hope the man stands back now, and if he doesn't, i should grab the dagger and put it away," you should determine what happens in an ORQ. Say the man steps back, or say he doesn't, but choose one. Also, your first ORQ confused me a bit, and they could all do with being a bit longer. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. You may reapply 24 hours after the time on the post below this one.
