An Odd Note

Hugo whistles to himself contently as he heads out of the Lumpy Pumpkin. As the sun hits his skin, he pleasantly sighs, continuing to make his way toward his burrow. He passes the town square where birds are chirping overhead, searching for worms or berries. He continues over the bridge and up the hill, finally reaching 3 Branbrook Bend, also known as Proud Hall. He swiftly swings open his gate and walks into his front yard, checking his mailbox. After seeing nothing new, he continues on into his burrow. Almost immediately, he peers down to find a strange note awaiting his eyes.

 

 

He scans the note, quickly running into his bedroom to retrieve his shovel. He peers down his halls, making sure this 'Mungo' still isn't in his home. After a thorough search, he nervously sighs, throwing the note into his fireplace. "If this 'Mungo' wan's ter ge' 'is burrow back... 'e's go' ter ge' through me firs'!"
