A One Way Trip

Kardel

Recommended Posts

Amber yellow eyes peek out of a thick green and gold hood in the snowy dwarven lands , the wind as cold as ice. Kardel adjusts his hood, pulling his scarf tight around his self to keep warm, and sighs, fog dancing from his pale white lips onto the white floor. It has been 656 years since the day he was born, and not once did he ever enjoy himself, not once did he get to see what he wanted to see., it was always 'duty' and 'honor', both that he had failed at by stating the rebellion.

It did not matter, his dark purpose was done, the king was dead by the same forces that ordered him to try and kill him. Kardel had spilled no blood, and he was happy for that. He could make a discrete retreat into one of the many wonderful corners of the world. His ship was waiting for him in gallmore, a small jolly boat with a single sail and loads of power. Imagining the wonders he could see with it, Kardel smiled, and dropped a small papyrus note onto his desk in the Karirdmarr, making his way to Vaerhaven.

As he entered the city's gates, his packs about him, all could understand what was going on. Some of his friends had even taken the time to meet him before he left, friends that were too few. As he entered the dock gates, he found himself before a crowd of familiar faces. Gauldrim, Bardel, Jack, the weird pirate man he had chanced onto when in the mage's guild. Meta came rushing as well, someone he did not expect. Though none of his cousins were there, and Rosso was not either. He was slightly glad for that, yet a bit sad.

"All ye guud friends o' mine, hear me last wis'es. . ." nothing could hold back the single hot tear that dripped down the old dwarf's cheek "Gauldrim, ah wish fe ye ta lead da olchemeh guild. Bardel, ye shall 'old da position of Ograd'ads alchemist as mah last wish. Jack, yr get all mah money, use eht wise. Weird pirate man. .. Bardel ate yer baguette" the strange pirate yelled out "NOOOOOOON!" as the truth was revealed to him at last. "Meta, ah dunn 'ave anyfin tae say ta yer, but tae keep on goin'. . .yer un guud lad. Also, Bardel, ye will teach mah newest student, da Kha Si'Kahlia, ah wunt 'er ta be part uv da guild." Kardel, wipes a few tears from his eyes, as he finally says "Faewell, stride safe!" and gets on the steam ship to Gallmore.

One would ask, where did the old dwarf go? Why did he leave? Where would he go? Kardel left Anthos completely, never to be seen again, leaving back a trail of mysteries that will probably never be solved. The isles he landed in were far away, away from the corruption of the creatures of the north, where he would spend most of his days, away, far from the darkness, the corruption, and the evil of Anthos.

((Sorry for the sh*t post, but I'm on a sh*t computer. . .and typing is hell on this keyboard. Anyways, we all knew this day was coming. I'm leaving for a while. . .possibly not coming back until 4.0. My university took me back to America, where I will most probably never get on MC again until next next NEXT year's summer. I'm busy as f*ck, so I wish best to the community as a whole for providing great RP for me this whole time. I give a special thanks to (by order of appearance in my LotC life): Jistuma, Metasol, Junostriker, Zigge313, Tentoa/CinnamonSnuggles, Timelord_Lalve, Watty_Banker, TuckingFypoz, Pinsir99, truthseeker83, meanking, darkjames, Agith (Cir'dian), and the citizens of Vaerhaven, Silva Insula, and all the dwarven lands in general. Special thanks to Silva Insula for keeping me on the server, it was one of my best LotC memories. ttwesten deserves a thanks too, just for being evark. So, this is goodbye!))

*For some reason no one bothered to tell Rosso that Kardel was leaving, and that is why he wasn't there. Probably best, considering the secrets both of them hold.*

((small rp post since, well... ye...

Either way Ziko, I hope you do well in America, and good luck with university. I think we have some great times on the server ever since Silva Insula. Keep well, and sometimes talk to us on skype if you can.))

Bardel stands rather silently in his matching robes, his white hair flapping about in the wind. He does little but watch Kardel as he talks and leaves. Finally as the boat sets off in the cold southern sunset Bardel turns and let's out a quiet sniff before turning to leave.

Later as he is clearing out Kardel's desk and equipment he takes up his brewing stand and looks it over. A tear falls from his nose and onto the desk. "I will keep this Guild alive for you and be as great an Alchemist as you were."

((Its sad to see you go but we all gotta move on, I will try my hardest to keep the Guild in order but I can't guarantee it will be until you get back as I have GCSEs coming up soon. If you can please send me some of the secretes Kardel would have told Bardel. I mean I can't carry on the legacy of his Alchemical fire unless I know the recipe and the sorts. Good luck with your Uni.))

(( Best of wishes to you man, good luck!))

CIr'dian gazed to the dwarf, looking down briefly before nodding. He simply waved goodbye to Kardel, the fresh claw marks buried deep into his left cheek likely being new to those around him. Cir'dian turned, and then made his way off.
