    if the total voidal connection rewrite gets denied what r st's thoughts on just... letting Musin and hou learn voidal magic via an amendment?

    The original OOC reasoning, behind denying them from being able to use voidal magic, from squakhawk, was that they just wouldn't live long enough to use it. However, Musin can become things like liches and Klones now... And even if a short-lived Musin wishes to become a voidal mage... Why completely prevent them?

    The Greater Soul argument just really doesn't work. People always say 'oh well then DOGS could voidal attune!!!' But there's a distinct soul line between beastfolk and animals in the lore: Lesser Souls are beastfolk and sapients, Inferior Souls are animals and such.

    You need to throw these beastfolk CAs a bone, man. They've toughed it out for a long ******* while.


    I get the argument against letting them have deifics, MAYBE.

      not an equal comparison when one your actively choosing to go into a CA and create a character that can't learn magic then go on to complain you can't learn magic

      voidal magic is a understanding based magic. It requires some minute amount of energy to open an infinitely small rift in the veil to pull arcana to shape with your mana. Restricting it because “mah soul anchor” when such a concept does not exist in voidal lore is grossly gatekeeping. All that is required to do void is some form of soul, and some form of sentience on par with a descendant
