Hey all, it is very tough for me to write this, and every letter makes me rethink my decision. For my health I think its time I step back from LoTC. I have made tons of friends, and met loads of people but I find that as the days pass on I get more and more addicted to LoTC but less happy with every login. Will my departure be permanent? I'm not exactly sure, though I do know it will be for a few months at least. For my personas, Felipe De Medina has been captured! Forced somewhere deep into the desert away from everything he knows. Wilhelm Bishop can ultimately be decided by House Bishop, though I will always assume he fell down the stairs while reading a book and died. With Osanora, I am leaving it in the care of the Hyspians. I pray they dont destroy it :*( I may be back one day, and if I am I hope to see lots of you still here! Adios everyone :)

Felipe would groan as he shifts his body to read this.. work.. "Ah, another Priest who abuses his position to speak badly of me." He would look over his bandaged up body wondering when exactly the Sutican guards came to protect him "The fool does not seem to remember who stood alongside the Pontiff fighting for GOD during all of this"

[!] Copies of this message from Felipe De Medina would be spread out across the major cities, eventually finding its way into the most rural areas. Depiction of the people of Osanora coming together to aid the poor Día de Los Pobres For many as privileged as myself I do not spend much time thinking about my next meal; my title and wealth ensure that doesn't happen. For many across Almaris food is a scarcity and for those with young children, this can mean death. I call upon all fellow leaders and people across the realm to join Osanora in celebrating Día de Los Pobres where we spend a day with no food to see exactly how so many people suffer. At the end of this one day, we invite all to a celebration where I shall host a feast for anyone, regardless of status, to come and eat. I ask for no mina in return, just for you to return your plates empty and your bellies full! A special invitation to the clergymen of Canon to partake in the one day of no food, to show GOD we are not above his most unfortunate children. Felipe De Medina, Count of Osanora (OOC: Osanora 3.27.2021 Saturday 4PM ET) ((OOC: ALSO! This is not telling you don't eat IRL... please don't starve yourself haha, its just an RP thing))
-
Felipe de Medina would pace around the kitchen, sipping and biting various types of drinks and meats "Andale, only the best for the Pontiffs visit! A few pans would clang on the other side of the kitchen causing him to dart over and begin yelling all over again.

Awesome to hear that!

Hey all! Some of you may know, but others might not, my name is Anthony (Also called Antony or Skilled). Osanora is my town which is amazing because I get to bring my IRL culture onto LOTC, I originally wanted to RP with Santegians but they dont really have a place and so I made Osanora which is a mix of both Spain and Mexico Spanish, traditions, and culture. We get lots of people who stop by to visit but I lack a true playerbase... Thats why I am asking for any of you who belong to the Hispanic community or are interested in RPing as one, please consider making an Osanorian, or Santegian, and come help me build our presence on this server up again! Feel free to approach me on discord SkilledAntony#2639 or come RP. We are in the South hub on the road to Sutica. The first settlement on the road and will be marked with a sign. Thanks!

Awesome thinking! Ive been trying to think of vanilla foods that can be used. What do you think would be a good one for tamales? I wanna stay away from bakery stuff due to our panaderia
-
Please don't meme on my serious posts then.... smh smh

Hi! This actually is NOT a post for RP! Its just a collection of ideas for the Osanorian culture which is very different from Hyspia in the sense that they do not hold a lot of the same values! Thanks for commenting though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNWC4NMWfe8 Feel free to listen to this while you read or visit Osanora! Adrian de la Garza Environment Artist Culture Cuisine Utilizing a wide variety of spices, peppers, and vegetables, the Osanorian diet consists of bright and flashy foods many of them too spicy for the average eater to stomach every day. The most common dishes in Osanorian meals generally contain some type of meat if not multiple types and you will never find an empty belly in Osanora because of Osanorians willingness to feed EVERYONE regardless of economic status. Though portions are smaller than an average meal, it is made up with the AMOUNT of times a day meals are had, upwards of 4 if not 5 a day! Baked goods are a common snack and dessert among the Osanorian populace. With relatively few ingredients the range of sweets, often called breads or pan, are made fresh every day and sold for cheap prices. Appearance Osanorians live their days below the hot sun of the desert, their skin tones are typically shades of brown with brown/black hair. Though uncommon, some Osanorians do have non-brown shades of color typically when they relocate themselves to Osanora from a different settlement. Their clothing differs depending on gender. A few pictures added since I do not know how to describe it. (Feel free to wear other clothing! Osanoras colors are blue and white!) Music Music among Osanorians typically includes instruments. The most common form of music is a band, also called a mariachi, which will perform songs for weddings, restaurants, or even just out on the street! There are some singers who prefer to perform alone, though a bit uncommon! Religion Osanorians are devout in their faith, they believe in many of the traditional beliefs the Church of Canon follows. Any event hosted by the Church in Osanora is bound to draw in a reasonable crowd. Osanora still offers freedom of religion through their Nation, Sutica, but the official religion follows Canon The Osanora ruler Felipe De Medina gifted land to the Bishop de Cordoba which was converted into an assistance facility. Commonly referred to as CSC the facility is home to the clergymen of Cordoba and aids the poor and abandoned of the world. There they are taught to live as a proper Osanorian should. Hey all, this is just a short quick list which will be updated over time! I really just want this so those of you interested in joining get a quick glimpse of what it will be like!

Felipe would pull one of these sheets off the church walls. After quickly skimming over it he paused and stared at the signatures. "Who are half of these people? " As he returned to his room he would pull a few other sheets down to cook with that night.
-
Maybe a little too interested..... hahaha Have you ever considered joining something like the economy team? What are some things you enjoy OUTSIDE of Lotc, hobbies, interests, etc?
-
Felipe would stop building the new pen for his sheep when a citizen of Osanora brought him a copy of Countess Ivarielles message. "Ah how interesting of the Countess to make such bold declarations. Osanora will observe how the tides change and move with them. Though it may be best to resolve any issue before the waves get too high"

-Flag of Osanora- The following is a letter addressed to the people and clergymen of Osanora "After reviewing the letter sent out by Bishop Hernando Altamirano, many of my worries regarding the leadership abilities of our new Bishop have left. He has a clear plan for our Diocese which will hopefully bring more involvement and support from our Mother Church. It seems as though just yesterday I was baptized in the Cathedral back in Providence, but since then I worried the Church had dismissed the true followers located in my lands. Bishop Hernando's arrival has proven otherwise showing their commitment not only to our leaders but our poor too. To honor this tremendous man of cloths arrival, I have decided to gift a plot of land in addition to our current church to be overseen by Bishop Hernando Altamirano directly. He may do what he wishes with this land, but I do pray he houses his headquarters on the land to better carry out his dreams and vision." Felipe De Medina Head of House Medina Count De Osanora

Felipe would stand along the coast barefoot, wiggling his toes under the sand. With the salty air gusting past, he would mutter "The Tides have turned against you Señor. No man can stop the waves of the Sea" Hearing a guard call out to him, Felipe would return to Osanora to begin his day

If we do not go down 50 blocks, is it added to the length/width?

Felipe would read over the letter picking at the edges "And so the challenge is official. Let Them Face The Flood and the victor shall rule Eastcliffe." Felipe looks out the window anxious for the vassal meeting later. -
The religious, political, and military leaders swearing loyalty to now Baron Felipe A letter from Felipe to his people and the surrounding settlements It has not been too long since I took control of Osanora following my fathers passing. While I still mourn for him I understand the duty that I now have; not only to my people but to my father as well. To lead, protect, and grow everything that he worked and cared for. This includes the people that make up our wonderful community despite all the challenges we were faced with. The time of my fathers passing was in the middle of the campaigns for our Corte positions that ultimately decide the current Osanora will flow down. While only recently elected to their positions they are making fine editions, taking it upon themselves to ensure each of their respective ministries are well tended to. I have high hopes for each and look forward to working with each to build a better Osanora! Of course this may raise a question I have often contemplated myself: Where do we go from here? I want to take a few moments to discuss future plans with Osanora. Understand my father knew that in order to prosper we had to plan extensively. As such he scouted out the surrounding land and took notes on every blade of grass, small pebble, and smallest grain of sand. We now have future plans for Osanora being drawn up as I write this. We expect to have the city planned within 2 years. While I have spent an extraordinary amount of time working on this project myself, I remind myself to stop getting so caught up in the future that I don't notice the hole in front of me. What kind of hole you may ask? We have many citizens and a bustling city. What we lack is merchants. We have empty shops and stalls left and right. This is a call to merchants from all corners of the world! Travel to Osanora, we offer cheap taxes and endless opportunities. We seek blacksmiths, hunters, tailors, and everything in between. You will quickly realize that Osanora is your new home when you settle into our cantina and enjoy light conversations with friends while treating yourself to our famous tacos and horchata. This is my letter to all peoples of all nations, Osanora is continuing to grow, and si dios lo quiere we will become a successful settlement and serve our duty to our capital. Even if not to stay, travel to Osanora and try some of our local cuisine! Felipe De Medina Baron of Osanora

A representation of the fight at Osanoras La Cocina De Mama Felipe De Medina had left Osanora without a care in the world. Hopping on the back of a horse he rode for the Capital of Sutica. After a long day of wandering and purchasing trivial trinkets from the local merchants he prepared himself to return home. Even at a distance he could tell something was off, he saw the cantina door damaged and through the windows he saw several chairs knocked over and -- blood? Practically jumping off his horse he did not bother tying her up. Instead he burst through the side door pausing briefly as he inhaled the metallic smell of blood. With tears springing to his eyes he yelled out "Papa!". Wandering to the side of the bar he saw the top of a head over the counter and ran towards it, nearly tripping over a chair. There on the floor sat his father, Antonio De Medina, stuffed between a wall and a chair with blood spilled all over him. Felipe collapsed on the floor ignoring the pain of the wooden floor as his knees dug into it. Crawling he reached his father praying he would move in the slightest bit. Latching onto his father he buried his head into Antonios shoulder, feeling his beard prickle his ears. Only when Felipe had no more tears to give, did he look around the room. He found the comal on the counter bloody and a few of his fathers kitchen knives on the floor. This was no normal fight, the attack seemed to be a surprise, the kind only bandits could be responsible for. Felipe kicked a chair and spoke to his fathers corpse, "I will finish what was started si dios lo quiere. Osanora never suffers a bandit attack again papa." Felipe left the cantina to find someone to help him bury his father.

If your dreams don't scare you, they are too small" ~Richard Branson The sun shone bright on Osanora as Baron Antonio De Medina took a stroll to the coast. Removing his shoes he allowed his feet to feel the saturated sand and let out a low sigh. Further down the shore he heard splashing and squinted in the general direction of the noise but could not see more than a few feet in front of him. With his sword drawn he walked towards the noise until the splashing grew quiet and all he heard were coughs and gasps for air coming from a little boy. He stood a few paces from the child announcing himself, "Niño are you okay?" Wide-eyed the boy desperately tried to crawl away from Antonio before another coughing fit overtook the last ounce of energy he had and he fainted. When the boy woke he found himself in a sort of clinic, laid out in a bed with Antonio sitting in a chair on the other side of the room. Antonio stood and made his way over to the bedside, asking the boy what he remembered before fainting on the beach. The boy, Felipe, told the events leading up to his fainting. He was on a boat as a passenger when he had to nearly escape with his life, his father was a trained mercenary who had taken a job he thought was going to be simple. He had to escort a small merchant from Oren to Sutica who had big dreams of profiting in the Free State. Through many days of begging, Felipe convinced his father to allow him to join in on this job. His reasoning was that he was learning how to fight with a sword, but that meant little to nothing without experience in the mercenary business. Most of the journey went along smoothly until they boarded a ship to make it across the sea. Sutica was within eyesight when the ship was attacked by bandits who quickly killed Felipes dad and the merchant. Jumping overboard Felipe was able to escape and the bandits chose not to pursue because they got the true treasure they wanted. The merchant had secretly hid valuable ingots in the clothing that he was going to trade. Felipe could swim, but just barely. He made it to the shore before seeing Antonio and fainting. And then when he woke again he was in this clinic. Antonio De Medina asked of Felipes family, wanting to make arrangements to reunite the young boy with his mother. Sadly, no family remained as his mother had passed during childbirth. Antonio offered for Felipe to stay with him for a few days until he could figure out what to do. But the days turned into a week which turned into multiple weeks and finally 2 months had gone by. Felipe was summoned to the town square where Antonio made the suggestion that he adopt Felipe. Overjoyed Felipe accepted and at the age of 13 Felipe became Felipe De Medina, son to Antonio.
