I think this thread is for lames, nerds, weirdos and losers as @Gamma wasn't added.

Personally, I've faced a lot of events where the death of my character is at stake. And what I've realized, is that if you want the rewards of narrative, you must take the risk. I do not believe ET should relent, but familiarize players with death in story building. Not everything goes your way and that is an important thing for growth, development and tension building in storytelling.
