  1. Virion reads the missive in a Fenn tavern while an argument brews with his father. "Oh dear, I suppose we'll be taking sides in this debacle" he'd sigh, handing it over for his father to read. Taking a drink, Virion decides to push further for an argument as thinking of war could wait until he was good and hungover. Malii'evarir pinches the missive from the bar she was tending as a patron put it down to drink. Shaking her head and keeping her customer service smile she can only thing 'Elveness and Haelun'or? With any luck they'll run each other off the map' while out loud saying "shame that we can't all get along. You'll be needing a refill for news like that, ti?"
  2. Sitting in a norther Tavern, Virion reads the notice and sighs. "I suppose maln will be dragging me to this. I wonder how long I can hide up here before I'm ratted out" he'd think, taking a sip of his drink and thinking about the fight him and his father were still in the midst of. ----- Hammering away at her forge, Aoife would watch the special invitation be handed to her kin. When given a chance to inspect the invitation she'd comment "I don't think I've met many Redfists, I'll be coming with the Sutherlainns. The forge can rest for a day" to whoever was around, then just as quickly return to her smithing.
  3. Malii'evarir stops at a noticeboard having heard of the incident and looks for the wanted poster. Eventually spotting it, she pauses for a single blink before bursting into laughter. After collecting herself and checking nobody had watched her laugh at the situation, she carries on with her day simply muttering "No matter how stupid I think these Norlanders are, they never fail to dissapoint."
  4. I've only really had 2 instances of needing to Fear RP, on two seperate personas. The first was snaga-napped, when that was still a think, and I screamed and yelled until their throat became hoarse. Admittedly, he was a snage all of about an hour before being rescued, but I played him with a constant underlying fear of it happening again. The second was my Wood Elf, who's brash at the best of times. I played her as more violently threatening than scared as that would be her reaction, to try and mask the fear with a brave face. Didn't play out too well, but also Krug was easy to escape then and she lead low. To this day though, she's not entering a cave unless there's a damn good reason to. Fear RP is hard, for the reasons mentioned above by others, but in my situations death wasn't too much of a risk so I was free to have fun with it. I think part of the problem is that death is usually the only outcome in situations. I can't tell you the number of times a persona has been mugged on the way somewhere, surrendered their stuff, then just been killed for the hell of it. Even a fresh persona I made once asked someone for some food, and then got killed. If death is the only outcome, who's gonna bother RPing the fear when it's 'just another death'?
  5. The news was slow to reach Malii'evarir, but eventually she heard of her friends passing. Taking some time to process the news, she'd begin a small pilgrimage to pay her respects to the various Mani that embodied the young Elf's spirit. Arriving at the final place she intended to pay respects, Mal spent some time remembering the Andria. From smuggling her into Varhelm and changing her appearence to help avoid detection, to the last fight Mal saw her in in Elysium. "Well llir, I suppose I should probably find your husband and stop him doing something stupid." At that she'd allow herself a small smile and began the journey to the various places Andria had called home, sword and staff firmly on her in case she happened across her friend's murderer.
  6. Walking past the noticeboard, Mal would stop to look at a new not that seemed to hang. Reading both that and the acompanying note from Brian she'd let a small smile grace her lips. "Perhaps now people will start believing me when I say the rangers have problems" mal mutters under her breath, thinking that the next time she sees both leavers she'll be offering them a drink. And with that she leaves the town, continuing on with her day, slight spring in her step.
  7. Malii'evarir lets out a sigh after reading the missive. "First they make me take the long way to town, now they're making me read. Someone needs to sort out these Ferrymen. HEY!" As Malii was thinking out loud the dog that had stolen her seat in the tavern snapped up the missive and was tearing it apart. She'd need to have another chat about this animal.

Garras was born to a farming family, where helping on the farm was most of his young life. Eventually, the boredom and monotony of the work caught up with him, and as he approached his teenage years (halflin teenage), he started drinking heavily and partying with friends. This partying became his life, and Garras began to resent his time on the farm. One day, in the midst of partying, Garras met an Elf showing off some "magic" tricks with redstone. Garras was drunkenly entralled. Garras spent the night learning how the tricks worked, and even hungover in the morning he remembered the basics. Determined to learn more, Garras purchased some of the stone from a travelling merchant and became hooked. He frequently skipped his farm-work to tinker. After selling a few of his trinkets, he was able to hire a farm-hand to replace him on the farm, somewhat mending the rift between him and his family. Later in his teenage years, Garras and a close friend began mining the redstone themselves. Riwrick, Garras' friend, was a great help to Garras until his untimely end at the hands of a spider. Torn apart by this, Garras felt he had to leave his hometown and make his way in the world. Garras and Riwrick had always talked about using redstone to make the world better, and Garras plans to make this come true. Having heard of "The Red Faith" in the Kingdom of Norland, Garras started heading in the direction of Norland, wondering if the name was simply coincidence or a sign from a higher power.
