Call of the Fox Council ༻⊰───────────────⊱༺ ⠀𖤓⠀༻⊰───────────────⊱༺ ༻⊰───────────────⊱༺ ⠀𖤓⠀༻⊰───────────────⊱༺ ISSUED ON THE 11th OF DEEP COLD IN THE YEAR OF 225 S.A. SENT BY PROGENITOR JARAD MAH’NEL Da Hali Upon this, and by the will of the Fox, I hereby call the blood of my blood and those marked by the Fox to meet in council. On the 8th of The First Seed, 225 S.A., we shall convene within the halls of the Sunlit Keep. All who are able are called upon to attend, for the time has come to gather as kin, to speak as one, and to stand united in the face of the trials before us. We shall speak of the matters that weigh upon our family and the state of our lands at large. The wounds inflicted upon our name, the injustices we have endured, and the challenges that lie ahead must not be ignored. Decisions must be made, not in secrecy or hesitation, but in the open, with the wisdom and strength of those who carry the Mah’nel name and the mark of the Fox. Let all voices be heard, and let no truth be left unspoken. But we shall not only dwell upon the past, we shall speak of the future. The path forward must be shaped by our own hands, not dictated by those who seek to see us falter. We will decide what course we take, what actions must be set in motion, and how we will forge a legacy that no council, no slander, and no force of deception can erase. This is our time to reclaim what is ours, to stand together, and to ensure that the Mah’nel endure. ༻⊰───────────────⊱༺ ⠀𖤓⠀༻⊰───────────────⊱༺ Signed, HIS EXCELLENCY JARAD MAH’NEL, Zu’ilch AcLuxzi a’ Go’nuer ou’ Sol’Helious, Go’nuer a’ Vho’far ou’ da Mah’nel Talonnii

never However, on a serious note, thank you for the transparency that something is being done with the funding provided in order to improve the server. Has money also been given out or offered for plugin or other server improvements?@Llir

After recent events and the decisions made by administration, I find myself asking a lot of questions. Questions that I know many in the community share. These concerns have only been further fueled by Halt’s post, which raises critical points about the state of the server, its management, and the direction things are heading. Above is a screenshot of players online at 7:37PM EST 2025-03-24. It’s no secret that Lord of the Craft receives significant financial support from its player base. Just looking at some of the top donor tiers online today, we see a staggering amount of money being put into the server: 13 Aether – $6,500 10 Ender – $3,000 15 Bedrock – $3,000 18 Diamond – $1,800 Total: $14,300 And this doesn’t even account for all donations, just a portion. On top of that, recent donations amount to $411.35. Given that LOTC receives hundreds of dollars every week, it raises an important question: Where is this money going? We understand that server upkeep requires funding, but is that the only thing it’s being used for? Are donations going towards development, plugin creation, or server improvement? Are there paid developers actively working to enhance the player experience? If there are dedicated funds for development, why has administration consistently failed to manage something as integral as a war claim? It’s unacceptable that despite the steady financial backing from players, the server still struggles with organization, communication, and execution when it comes to large-scale events. We deserve transparency. The community has a right to know how its contributions are being used. If war claims are still being handled in such a poor manner, despite the resources available, then something is deeply wrong with the priorities at play. Administration, it’s time to show accountability and provide clarity on these questions. The community isn’t just here to pay, we’re here to play. If the funds are there, we should be seeing actual improvements, not the same repeated mistakes. It’s become abundantly clear that the administration has chosen to charge forward with war claims, completely disregarding the disastrous handling of the last one. There has been zero effort to address the fundamental issues that plagued the previous war claim issues that resulted in a logistical mess, an inconsistent application of rules, and a generally poor experience for everyone involved. Let’s not sugarcoat it: the last war claim was a disaster. It was riddled with mismanagement at every level, from planning and execution to the lack of clear communication. Players were left confused, frustrated, and feeling unheard. The core problems, whether it be server performance, rule inconsistencies, or administrative intervention, were never acknowledged, let alone fixed. Instead of taking the time to reflect and improve, the response has been to blindly push forward, as if nothing went wrong. This is not just disappointing, it’s outright irresponsible. War claims are some of the most pivotal events in LOTC, shaping nations, player narratives, and the overall experience of conflict RP. When they are mishandled, it diminishes the effort players put into their stories and disrupts the balance of the server. The community deserves transparency and accountability. What steps, if any, have been taken to ensure that the failures of the last war claim won’t repeat? Where is the discussion, the reflection, the willingness to listen to the concerns of those who actually participate in these events? If war claims are to continue, they need to be run properly. That means clear and fair rules and the application of those rules, competent handling, and a willingness to learn from past mistakes. Otherwise, we’re doomed to another chaotic, unbalanced, and ultimately frustrating experience. It’s time for the administration to step up and give us some accountability and transparency. I am happy Halt gave his take but I want something directly from the admins other than ‘everything is fine, lol’. Also as a side note: Why was the next war claim scheduled on the last day of Ramadan? Whether intentional or not, this is a disappointing decision that affects a portion of the player base. It raises further concerns about the lack of thought and care put into scheduling major events. Was there any consideration given to player availability, or was this yet another example of rushing ahead without listening to the community?

Trying to get feedback on lore before submitting is like trying to pull teeth. Painful.
-
Just dont be cringe and stop submitting lore just do the lore why get approval u dont need approval
-
Honestly real and true.
LOTC "prides" itself on providing a unique RP experience by allowing players to make their own accepted lore and progress the "story" of LOTC, but then more often than not everyone (who isn't a greentag or greentag suckup) is discouraged from doing so...
'Your path is your own,' then act like it??
-
The ST discord server is unironically the worst place to go to for feedback on a post lmfao
They will spend the first 20 minutes clowning on you, then the next 5 telling you why u can't do that, followed by another 45 minutes of clowning on you.
If you need help, spam dm people you know in the groups ya need to find the lore writers in those groups (they are usually pretty chill), or spam dm me!!!!! :D

Let it be known to all that the Orcs did not come to Hyspia in pursuit of peace. During the battle, multiple letters were discovered, with leaders from the Holy States calling their forces to Grense with the intent to "Raid Hyspia." Though they cloaked their march in the guise of diplomacy, their true purpose was far from peaceful. They arrived not as emissaries, but as pillagers, joining hands with the forces of Grense, Ravenmire, and the Holy States to bring bloodshed upon Hyspia. Their actions speak louder than their lies. They came not to parley, but to plunder. They rejected peace and embraced slaughter. Let the truth be known. [!] The Missive would remain unsigned.

The Frost Awakens United beneath banners of Celia’nor, Helious, Haense, Petra, Balian, Val’Taynuel, Caurost, and others of brave heart, the combined host marched north, led by a most curious and grim guide the lingering specter of an Old Ruthern, a whisper from the grave drawn by something far fouler than snow. Through wind choked passes and frostbitten trails, we came upon it: a forgotten fort sealed in rime and silence. But silence does not mean peace. Within its walls, death greeted them. The wind howled through shattered stone and icy pillars, and there, amid frost caked tents, we beheld the remnants of a massacre. Bodies, twisted and frozen in their final moments of terror, lined the snow-packed ground. Their faces bore no peace, only fear, agony, and the cruel permanence of the frost’s embrace. This place was no mere battlefield. It was a graveyard sculpted by blasphemy. In one tent, we found more than corpses. A shrine, twisted and defiant loomed within. A mockery of Canonist and Talinism devotion alike. A perversion of faith, adorned in frostbitten symbols and crude effigies. It pulsed with unnatural chill, its presence a dark beacon of profane power. It was there a Vuiller, righteous and enraged, sought to tear the shrine down. But evil does not fall so easily. The shrine responded with fury. Ice cracked and bodies stirred, the dead awoke, flesh warped and frostbound, rising in unholy defense. A monstrous flesh golem surged forth, and battle was joined. Across the fort, an unseen voice echoed like a curse upon the wind, commanding more of the dead to rise. What began as desecration became a full scale assault, a clash of steel and snow, flame and undeath. Yet they endured. Together, they shattered the shrine, banishing its cursed presence. But our victory was short lived. The earth groaned beneath us, then split. From the frozen ground rose a towering figure, clad in glacial armor and crowned in ice and wrath. a Knight of Frost, terrible and ancient. “Who dares harm my master?” it bellowed, its voice like thunder cracking through tundra, its gaze blazing with both fire and frost. It cast its burning eyes upon a lone Necromancer, injured amidst the battle. With a single, commanding motion, a wall of jagged, rune-carved ice erupted, shielding him from harm, an act not of mercy, but of claim. The snow beneath him churned, then collapsed, swallowing him into the abyss. None could stop it. None could save him. “You shall make a wonderful servant for my master…” the Frost Knight growled, before turning to us one last time. “This is not the last fight… You shall become one with the frost… and you shall serve my master.” With those chilling words, the creature sank back into the earth, vanishing with the frost it brought, as if the land itself exhaled in its departure. But we know now… it was not gone. Merely sleeping. This was no mere skirmish, this was a herald. The frost is rising, and with it, something far darker than simple undeath. A will, ancient and cruel, stirs beneath the snow. A master unseen, who gathers servants in silence, building a kingdom of ice and death. Stand ready, sons and daughters of the realms. Sharpen your blades. Kindle your fires. For the frost has spoken and it shall speak again.

——— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——✮—— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——✮—— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——— “ilMaehr'sae Ilkun'ehya” ——— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——✮—— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——✮—— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——— My focus strayed, if only for a moment, from the Diraar and its sacred charge, to matters of diplomacy and broader concerns beyond our immediate walls. I sought to correct injustices, to mend what had been wrongfully broken, and to offer my attention where I thought it most needed. But in my brief absence, I turned back to behold a sight most troubling. What do I see? The officer corps, those entrusted with the discipline, order, and integrity of our ranks, now reduced to bickering and backbiting behind the walls of the barracks. Words exchanged not in strategy or resolve, but in petty squabble and personal grievance. Stagnation has taken root where momentum once stood. Progress halted. Purpose diluted. And what are these disputes over? Tilu and the like. Shadows of old arguments, endlessly rehashed while the duties of the Diraar lie neglected. No more. As Lord Commander, entrusted with the internal workings of the Diraar, I shall tolerate this no further. Discipline shall be restored. Function shall return. The idle chattering shall give way to purpose and action. Effective immediately upon the release of this missive, the following directives shall take force: ––– I ––– The Tilu System is hereby abolished. This mechanism, once perhaps conceived with noble intent, has long since devolved into a source of pointless debate, internal friction, and disunity among the ranks. No more shall time, energy, or cohesion be squandered on a system that breeds confusion rather than clarity, division rather than unity. For far too long, the Tilu system has been a root of disorder, fueling ego over efficiency, politics over purpose, and chaos over command. It has undermined discipline, distracted leadership, and eroded the very foundation upon which the Diraar stands. Let there be no misunderstanding: this is not a suspension. This is not a reform. This is a final dissolution. Effective immediately, the Tilu system is to be struck from procedures and practices. The ranks shall refocus. The purpose shall be restored. The Diraar shall no longer be hostage to the indecision and disorder that the Tilu system fostered. ––– II ––– The Diraar Shall Be Paid. Effective immediately, all active members of the Diraar shall receive fair compensation for their service. Duty shall no longer be a thankless endeavor. Effort shall no longer go unrecognized. From this moment forward, those who give their time, strength, and discipline to the Diraar shall be rewarded accordingly. An Activity Logging Sheet has been placed upon the central board. All members are to record their duties, contributions, and hours therein. Payment will be issued personally by me, based on the entries submitted and verified. This shall serve two purposes: to ensure transparency in service, and to establish a clear and honorable incentive structure for those who uphold the standards of the Diraar. Furthermore, additional rewards may be granted based on performance, excellence, or distinguished conduct. These may include but are not limited to: Commissioned weapons, forged free of charge Tax payments covered by the office of the Lord Commander Temporary or permanent tax exemptions Medals, commendations, and formal recognition for exceptional service Other honors and privileges at the discretion of command Let this stand as a testament to a new era, one where merit is rewarded, where commitment is valued, and where the Diraar is restored not only in purpose, but in pride. ––– III ––– A New Code of Conduct and Discipline With the dissolution of the old systems and the forging of a new standard, it is imperative that discipline once again becomes the backbone of the Diraar. Order must be maintained not merely through structure, but through consequences, swift, fair, and resolute. Regular Punishments Standard disciplinary measures for minor infractions may include, but are not limited to: Mandatory pushups or physical exertion Gate duty and prolonged watch shifts Forced patrol rotations Laps around the city perimeter Assigned civil service tasks Any other punishment deemed appropriate by the commanding officer These are not to humiliate, they are to reinforce discipline and sharpen resolve. Court Martial Authority From this day forward, any officer holding the rank of Parir or higher is granted the authority to call a Court Martial against subordinates in response to offenses deemed outrageous or severe. The nature of the punishment in such trials shall rest with the presiding court and may include, at its most extreme, demotion or death. Let this serve as a clear warning: the Diraar will no longer be a haven for insubordination or laxity. Codified Internal Crimes The following offenses shall now be formally recognized and prosecuted within the Diraar: Insubordination — Failure to follow the lawful orders of a superior officer shall result in immediate punishment at the officer’s discretion. Should the offense be deemed outrageous or recurring, a court martial shall be convened without delay. Failure to Defend the Citizenry — The primary charge of the Diraar is the defense of Celia’nor and her people. Any failure to fulfill this sacred duty shall result in immediate court martial proceedings. Failure to Show Respect — Discipline begins with respect. Any Diraar who fails to show appropriate deference to superior officers — including, but not limited to, failure to salute — may be punished on the spot by said officer. Respect is not optional; it is foundational. ––– IV––– Promotions and Advancement Let it be known: All promotions within the Diraar shall henceforth be merit-based. No longer shall rank be gifted through favoritism, nepotism, or idle tradition. Rank must be earned through service, discipline, and distinction in duty. Recommendations and Authority Officers holding the rank of Parir or Sarir are hereby authorized to recommend individuals for promotion, based on observed excellence, leadership potential, and dedication to the Diraar’s cause. Final approval and conferment of rank will depend on review by command leadership, ensuring no recommendation goes without scrutiny. Promotion Authority Only those holding the rank of Lord Commander shall possess the authority to directly promote individuals up to the rank of Sirar. Any promotion beyond that point, to the highest echelons of command, shall require exceptional merit and will be considered under the utmost scrutiny and deliberation by the Mordular and his Commanders. Promotions are not entitlements - they are honors earned through sweat, loyalty, and unwavering service. Let this standard remain unshaken, so that all who rise in rank carry with them the respect and trust of those who serve beside them. ––– V ––– Putting Forward I have learned, over the many years of my life and service, that no single man, no single elf, can carry the weight of duty alone. Leadership is not sustained by one, but by many. A single sword may cut, but it is a shield wall that holds the line. There must be a team, a council of strength, wisdom, and resolve. Thus, with full conviction and under the authority vested in me, I, Jarad Mah’nel, Lord Commander Sanctus of the Celia’diraar, do hereby put forth the following recommendations for the strengthening of our command structure: Elgras Soltee is hereby recommended for appointment to the position of Lord Commander Nihilus - a mantle of resolute will and unflinching judgment. and Siofra Ibarellan is hereby recommended for appointment to the position of Lord Commander Praetus - a station of insight, honor, and unwavering balance. May they serve not only as leaders, but as pillars of the Diraar's rebirth, unshaken in duty, united in purpose. Let this be the beginning of a new chapter, forged not by one, but by many, standing as one. ——— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——✮—— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——✮—— ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ ——— Signed, His Excellency, Jarad Mah’nel, Lord Emissary of Celia’nor, Lord Commander Sanctus of the Celia’diraar, Progenitor of the Mah’nel Bloodline, Founder of Helious

How the Cold North Does Howl Player event “The Veil is torn. The dead no longer slumber. The snow no longer whispers. The frost does not bite, it devours.” The northern fringes of Celia’nor have become cursed. Where once the snow fell in gentle silence, now it carries screams on the wind. The spirits of the dead no longer pass on. They linger, twisting, writhing, and hungry for the warmth of the living. Reports would reach the capital of Leyu'sil speaking of undead horrors prowling the frozen woodlands, of gaping graves unearthed by unnatural hands. Hunters return to their villages missing pieces of themselves, eyes clouded, minds broken. Frostbitten corpses walk where they should not. Some say they whisper the names of those they loved in life before their bodies turn to slaughter. Deep within the ice-choked ruins of the north, something stirs, a force that bends death to its will. Cloaked in shadows and frost, conduct unholy rites, binding souls to the cold itself. Whatever they have unearthed, it has shattered the balance between life and death. The noble warriors of Celia’nor would be called to arms by their leaders. What awaits in the storm is no mere battle, it is a struggle against the abyss itself. Will you fight to break this curse, or will you, too, be claimed by the frost? As one old ruthern ghost would warn the diraar, “Prepare yourselves, warriors of Celia’nor. For the north howls, and it howls for blood.” !SIGN UP IS IN OOC BELOW!

@Kabo0m [!] A private letter would be penned to buttons baring the crest of Mah'nel Buttons, It has come to my attention that you did indeed insult my son and that you issued a formal apology to him. I suggest you allow this particular issue to rest and accept responsibility and accountability for your actions like you have thus far. Denying it will only bring unwanted trouble to your door. Signed, Jarad Mah’nel, Progenitor of the Mah’nel bloodline

Jarad would take one look at the missive, then another, then another, then another before grabbing a pen and making a big fat X over Ravenmire "Won't be visiting there any time soon, too weird. You got Salvo taken over by bandits, but yes this is the thing you focus on."- 20 replies

[✗] The Will of Tahariae: The Path of Illumination
JoshBright replied to JoshBright's topic in Denied Lore
please elaborate further if possible I'm just going to remove any negative effects from the water and rework the other passive. 2 major weaknesses which is compensated by a low number of attack spells, being 4 in total, and even then one of them is just a sword blessing Change: Presence of Tahariae changed into Blessing of Judgement with the original effect of presence being removed
