"This is a very fascinating paper. I am of an old family, and would care to shed light straight from the teachings of my very youth. My father, Midnus Anarion, was one of many founders of the now ancient Laurelin, but his story did not begin there. He predates the city by a few hundred years, at his count, as does our family. At this time, the family record keeping has him at fourteen-hundred years of age or so, but he resides in the Eternal Forest.
Due to the matter of his location, I am unable to present you with a primary source, but am able to present you a secondary one, myself. Although, it should be mentioned that it is possible to summon him to speak with you directly using the druidic arts.
Anyway, onto some brief content that I would adore to speak more of, as the early history of our people is of interest to myself. As it was reported to me, and as I was raised, Aeriel was the primary god of the land. There are eye witness accounts, including by my father, of seeing her guide the descendants in war against Ibleese. Availer, while living, appeared to be some keeper of a seal on the void. A prophet who spoke of Aeriel and her importance, while ensuring none could breach and release magic into the world at large. However, there was a moment where this seal appeared to break. This allowed the presence of the undead, the ascended, and the druids. Availer appeared to undo this seal himself, appearing before the people of the realm, including my father, before disappearing.
However, this is just a piece of this puzzle. These are simply the beliefs surrounding Laurelin and the first druids. With the releasing of the god of Courage and the rediscovery of templarism, it is clear our picture of the early eras are still very imperfect. I would love a chance to share with you the family story that we have, passed down through the lips of a man almost older than the time we keep.
