  1. That seems extraordinarily small, unless you think there is still enough room to build decent sized cities. However, I don't like massive cities where you get lost and most parts go unused so I wouldn't like to see massive plots of land left for capitals.
  2. I would really like to be a part of the build team :o How do I apply?
  3. It's "without further ado." Ado means fuss. Adieu means farewell.
  4. One of the contributing factors to Malinor being empty is because there is nothing to do there. When the Wardens were still around in Aegis, Malinor was expanding into the Sister City and Serpent's RIdge. Having a strong common community generates expansion. When we of the Wardens disbanded, everything lost its appeal and went downhill. Also, let me point out that Shiftnative, "the best leader of Malinor" was an admin. Mog, you have no point.
  5. Can we get someone besides Danny to write these news posts because he writes very counter-intuitively and his grammar bothers me. Also, this could be consolidated without so much blabbering about how the administration is actually doing something right after a month of promises. And he contradicted himself at least 3 times about what control a nation has over land; I think the nation should only have control over land that its population dictates it should have or the land it owned but willingly gave up to be unregioned (for farming and housing). In that case the nation could "rp-control" it. Otherwise, if a nation loses land because its population decreases, then it should not be able to control that land at all. Also, you should really get a simple nations plugin to keep track of population because you've already stated in this post that you are going to be lax about enforcing this whole thing, and that, in and of itself, is disappointing besides many other things this administration has screwed up. You could fix this problem if you accepted smart people. Saying that, sometimes those people get a little pissed off when you don't listen to anyone until months later. Especially if you give them warnings and ban them because you're upset with what they said.
  6. Ah my bad. It was just the one stream I tried to watch where I had to sign up. I guess only a few have that.
  7. I prefer twitch. It loads way faster, is more popular \for gaming, and livestream requires an account to watch videos too.
  8. Alec, I knew as I was posting this that it would be read as if I was being more critical than I was actually feeling. Also, I would have said, "I respect the fact that you have your own personality because I tend to be the same way (But that's why I'm not a staff member)" but that would depreciate the fact that admins should get out and get to know the players. The statement Liri made, "I don't particularly wish to be in an open channel where everybody and anybody can join it. I personally, am not a social person and have a huge dislike for large groups. Hence why I stick to my own small, social group," was what I based my thoughts on. Am I wrong to bring this to her attention? And if you say I was being rude, I don't know how else to say it without invalidating myself. Also, I did not say anything about the amount of time the staff should spend on the server, and don't appreciate you saying I am not welcome here because it renews the animosity between the staff and us, the players. Edit: I see a lot of responses saying that the admins shouldn't be required to socialize. I never said that, rather I said it's a responsibility. Why do you think politicians visit all kinds of people? Because then more people will like them! Also, I never said that a staff member should have his or her position removed just because he or she doesn't like to socialize. There's much more to the staff position than that, but I said this because distanced relations are what's really causing all these arguments between the players and staff.
  9. Lirinya, I feel like your responses are basically covering up the fact that you, personally, do not want to socialize. But don't you think as an admin of LotC it comes as a responsibility to get to know and help out the playerbase? It's like avoiding your relatives when they come over for the holidays. Also, I'm curious as to what keeps you busy as an admin on a daily basis.
  10. Here are my thoughts in no particular order: No staff member should be in charge of a nation. Rather, a select few staff-members should be assigned to supervise that nation. The staff need to be far more open to all players who provide strong, valid, and professional arguments. Hearing our opinions is a good first step, but I would like to see the admins answering questions in OOC chat, TeamSpeak, etc.The power of the server seems to be spread way too thin. There are so many Admins and GMs now that I've lost track! I feel like we should go back to the times when only the most capable, trusted, active, social, and amicable LotC contributors were Admins. The staff need to be professional representatives of our community. No trolling; Cut the laziness; Write presentable, organized, well thought out, and - for the love of God - grammatically correct news and lore posts; Do not put down or ignore the community; Roleplay with us more; Streamline current server plugins and develop new, engaging ones; Test, test, test! And do it on a test server unless it's absolutely necessary to put the server into development mode; Up-time = Play time = Satisfied Player; Be organized.Staff members should personally work to make themselves more helpful and well-rounded people or else I think you deserve the community's unrest.*If I add anything else I'll make an edit below here. EDIT: Why so many server groups bro?: A, GM, FM, VAT, AT, ET, MT, LM, XS, Guide, Nation Leader. Don't you think some of them are a little vain? This corroborates what I was saying about the power being spread too thin. Of course the counterargument is that these positions are necessary for the ever-growing server, but it just naturally seems excessively bureaucratic.
  11. I'm only kidding of course. Good luck with this..
  12. Oh we were thinking we'd run the Wardens into the ground, incite anarchy in Normandor, and therefore destroy the race of the elves. If that's okay with you of course? Oh wait... you have no choice. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH! HAHAH!
  13. ((Not sure if troll or insane. Are the old wardens invited?))
