As he slowly walks by the bulletin board on his way to the miens, Dain notices a new piece of paper hastily tacked to it. Intrigued by the torn piece of parchment, Dain walks over to read it. Dain slowly scans the note, taking in every word as he does. After finishing the note, Dain stands absolutely still, not talking, not blinking, and barely even breathing. Dain stands for what seems an eternity. Finally, a tear slowly rolls down Dain's face onto the bricks of the street.
Dain mutters under his breath, "Why.... Why Kincaid?"
Dain wipes his nose and eyes with his sleeve and begins to turn around. Under hie breath he says, "I know ye will rest well in Lighthalzen, Brother. May ye feast well with Abeam and Segari."
