  1. I think some of the issues stemmed with your definition of roleplay being 'you simply act like you would do in real life'. I'm not sure if english is the primary language of romania, but I think I understand what you're trying to say is more or less 'You simply act as if the situation in front of you is reality, as to your character it is'. However, your biography is conflicting. In the first two sentences, you're a poor boy from a poor family who couldn't afford comforts, but in the next two, your father is a rich and famous miner who found a pit of diamonds and you live in a house made out of wealthy materials. In fact, it looks like you just took your original app, then wrote a bunch of stuff over it to make it seem like there's more substance. You forgot to tie up the loose ends though, and a poor dwarf from a rich family who couldn't afford basic comforts while living in their house of wealthy materials..... just simply cannot exist.
  2. Denied. Your understanding of roleplaying and powergaming are insufficient, but moreso, the object of the application isn't to give 1 or 2 sentence answers as quickly as possible. It's your chance to tell your character's story and depth of character in biography and varying situations. Instead of answering "Your character is faced with (sitation)" with "My guy would do X then leave", try to go into some more detail. Make your character come alive. Have him seem like a main character in this tale you're trying to tell us, instead of 'nameless_random_guy' as he now appears.
  3. Looks good enough. I know some people like the skin screenshot to be IN the post, but sometimes the forums can act up. The link was easy enough to follow and peek at. Also I like any dwarf who isn't using a variation of honeydew's skin.
  4. I like it. The server could use a few more dark types who were still good deep down, but have been hardened by the trials of life. I think you'd be a fine addition to the server.
  5. Minimalist application. Often times the questions contained more words than the answers. Also, you didn't even bother to learn what roleplaying/metagaming/powergaming were. Most grievous of all, your bio was half a sentence, and you have no picture of your skin.
  6. While your app was sufficient in some areas, it is lacking in some critical ones. 1: You have no screenshot of your skin. When I first arrived, I had a great app, but no screenshot, and it was denied for that. You still need to have your skin viewed and approved before you can play here. Also, some other areas to take note of... It's tongue, not tounge. Also, elves are incredibly long lived, a teenaged-elf would likely still be dependant upon it's parents, and not out shooting bandits with father's bow. Also, you somehow managed to flub making a topic name since I guess you were using msg board commands which don't work in there. Finally, a really verbose way of saying 'my parents and all my family were killed by XMysteriousforceX and now i'm alone in the world' is kind of a terrible bio, but that wasn't the big problem here. No screenshot of your skin was.
  7. So gee, what did I miss? 1 day it's "Enor's captured by the undead!" Couple days later it's "Sekryt council meeting! Anyone not a part of it will be thrown out and no public participation!!!" And here and now it's apparantly king back, everything fine, new military appointments, etc. etc. Would anyone care to inform those of us not in the clique what exactly went down? It'd sure be interesting to know, if only to know how it came about. Seems me and many other humans usefulness is that of meatshield/grunt/footsoldier/nothing else. We're called to fight, we do, we get hurt, some killed, then time passes us right by without so much as an acknowledgement.
  8. ((people blinking through the air, conjuring prisons out of nothing, creating fireball or calling down lightning... don't bat an eye... BUT MAGIC DRINKS?!?!?!?!? NO RP! WTF! BLARRRRGH!!!... )): Might I inquire as to the strength of your wound creating and banishing potions? Also, can the wound fixing potion, be made to explode? Could you throw it into a group of people to heal them? Perhaps as a counter to a exploding damage one? I'm just theorizing uses here. I am interested in acquiring all sorts of arcana since learning about these ender pearl things...
  9. Hmm, that's a bit much. They used to sell for 50-100 before the hurtful teleporting was discovered. Would you take 200 per? I want to pretend to be a rift-walking mage, but I don't want to obliterate my cash-flow doing so.
  10. Really? Maybe you could just circulate this in a letter amongst yourselves then. This whole "We're going to be planning things and talking about things but YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU CAN'T COME IN!!!!!!!!!!!!" stinks of elitism and other undesirable elements.
  11. Corpsification. Those inside the temple, merchant, or keep districts were all slain. Those who were not slain, were killed inside a dozen seconds when they first returned. Some homes in the northern ward/military district, and some on the outskirts of the temple district, were not inside the main death cloud, and provided one does not exert themselves much, stays well fed, and breathes through a cloth, they might survive long enough get away from the danger.
  12. I heard this from a pair of orcs who were talking about it. They are wrong. While the outskirts of the cloud seems to be dissipating slightly, I can tell you that the center of the cloud, which hangs around the keep, trade district, king's cross, and temple, is still amazingly powerful and can incapacitate someone in 5 seconds, and kill them in under 10.
  13. So Since i'm not undead or ascended, I can't use magic. What I can use, are ender pearls, to teleport me around at a small cost of 1/4 my health. I now want many of these. I posted about it, but I guess it vanished somehow. In either event, i'm buying your ender pearls, you may sell them to me at whatever price you deem suitable. Look for Tra Zier, here or in game.
  14. The Jackal's Paw... I mean, The Jackal's Tear, is a shop that sells bread. It is right between Galahar and the whispering isles. Price is fairly cheap too. They might stock seeds too, but no gurantee on prices there.
  15. So shops can no longer sell adventure update items since the great deletion. However, Ender Pearls now have a use. I want to acquire some, as many as you feel like parting with. Send me a message or post here if you have some pearls you'd part with for compensation.
  16. Tempted to buy some diamonds. Since MY rebuilt shop falls within the cloud, i'm kinda screwed on supplies and stuff.
  17. If the undead are so focused on their new claim of alkhazar, maybe the fort and nether portals to the north can be destroyed whilst unguarded.....
  18. One can enjoy the fine prices whilst hacking up a lung on the outskirts of the sulfur cloud. At least it's not as bad as inside the city, that's...fatal...
  19. Wouldn't have known if you didn't say it. Only thing I noticed is 'offering them refugee'. The refugee is the person needing help, what is offered to them might be refuge, or solace, or sanctuary, etc. Interesting tale so far.
  20. So discontent. With the unwinnable event featuring undead on top of the keep's outer ceiling raining down lightning and spawned minions (how did they get up there anyway if not teleportation by someone with OP?), but I actually managed to peg one with an arrow when they would duck out from cover, cast a bunch of lightning, then jump back into cover behind a chimney or something... ...YOU ARE IN A NO-PVP AREA... Then come to find out, oh yeah, they did turn pvp on... right about the time undead players started playing "Summoned_Skeletal_Infantry" and the like. And then this plague nonsense. Seriously. I could understand making it so that if you were to STAY in the city you'd be killed, but it's beyond obnoxious to have it insta-slay anyone who either logged off in alkhazar (Gee, who would log off in a capital city? a bunchafugginfolk?), soulstones to there, or got sucked back to it in a rollback. Is -1 heart a second (people said it's 'been buffed' from that, so what is it, -4 hearts a second? Like falling into the void?) really necessary? I mean, look at the nether, the place where no life can stand, where if you are to go there, the lore says your soul is siphoned from your body until you're just a lifeless husk of a corpse.... That place does one heart A FREAKIN MINUTE to you. Would one heart every 10 seconds be too much to ask? Unless you were in the dead center of the city, you should be able to run in any direction and at least escape with your life.... wasn't that the whole point of the RP event? People can escape with their lives, or fight to the death (since it was unwinnable to begin with), but it isn't just instant death for everyone who logged off there or used a soulstone or whatever.
