I'd love to sit and talk with a number of old friends/players. You are on the list, Gaius. As well as Susitsu, TehLulu, Mezua, Slic3man, MediocreGamer, etc. All of the people that I either found interesting or did heavy RP with back in the day.

Probably the most interesting group I see that is super active at the moment is the Du Loc lectorate. I think they all seem like really good roleplayers and the RP that it spawns is really fun to watch.

1. My all time favorite would still have to be Aegis, as it is the map that I started on and truly immersed myself in. Every bit of RP I had on Aegis was memorable and enjoyable to the max. The closeness of borders made it felt like the world was way more full and alive.

My absolute favorite character is still to this day Rilath for me. It may sound kind of lame, but the character has existed for nearly half of my life at this point, and enough of an impact on me that Rilath has become my username on pretty much every platform, save a select few.

I'm doing great! The coolest thing that has happened to me would probably be becoming a father OOCly. Having two kids of my own has completely changed my perspective on the world and made me a better person.

If you mean ICly, I'd say the coolest thing would be that at Rilath's wedding to Shoi back in Aegis, both Iblees and Aeriel showed up corporeally and fought over his soul in front of everyone, and was a mini server level event.

As for music, my two favorite artists at the moment are Tyler Childers and Colter Wall. I'm a huge country fan and these two are at the top of the game right now in my opinion.

So, ten years ago I was about 15 years old and trying to come up with a name for my character and was pretty much just randomly putting vowels and consonants together until I found something I liked in Rilath. At the time it was just a character name, but Rilath and his exploits helped shape who I was at a young age. I'm attached to the name now.

I love you buddy. Favorite anime is a tough one honestly, but if I had to make a choice I'd say Darker Than Black was the anime I watched that I felt the strongest about. I loved that show. Favorite song changes a lot, but my current most played is Thirteen Silver Dollars by Colter Wall. Favorite culture is probably Southern American where I grew up, and food HAS to be North Carolina style BBQ.

And finally, that was great RP, I loved it. <3

Frost witches are created by frost mother's curse and and are anti-male. They feed off of them and have ice magic. If they don't feed they start to lose their magic and if they don't feed for long enough they die. They feel close to their family and all that as well.

What magic/s did you learn?:  Shade

Who/how did you learn magic/s?:    [I created it.] Back in Aegis,  Iblees was attempting to bring the Prophet Rott into our world. He was to be infused with Iblees’ sadistic power. By random chance the void node opened a channel between dimensions, an enormous surge of raw mana and energy being shot into Aegis. Amidst Iblees’ bestowment of power, the void energy was manifested in a physical form, which captured that dark energy. This was the Shade Gem. When Rilath gazed upon this gym it's raw energy coursed through his veins, bestowing upon him a power that rivaled the undead themselves.  His aura had been tainted by the black mist, and he gave over his soul to the Shade.

Offer an explanation of said magic/s you learned:   Shades are an imperfect recreation of what their creator, Rilath, was given by the Daemon Iblees himself. They may be viewed as a parasite that burrows its way into a mortal’s being; expanding and growing until it consumes the Caster both physically and mentally. The Shade can be considered a blessing of sorts as well as a curse, for it grants control of taint and a materialized form of the Aura but it also puts the caster through immense torment. The Shade feeds off of the mana of the caster, creating the Aura, which allows itself to grow and manipulate the caster so that it may fulfil its only desire. Chaos.

Hey everyone, it's Rilath. Ya know, that one guy that created the Shades and that's pretty much all he's known for? Anyway, most of you might not remember me, or, hell, maybe haven't even heard of me before now, but I wanted to say some things. 
 
First off, I love this server. I met some of my best friends here, who, sadly I haven't been able to contact for a while because of a lack of a computer. Susitsu, Heero, and the rest of the Shade gang throughout the years. *throws up a shade gang sign* I had a lot of fun playing with everyone on this server and it made me a lot less anti-social and a lot better at creative writing. All in all, I love you guys. You're all awesome, especially the GM's and Admins throughout the years. (I miss you Vaq, even though you could be a bit of a willy sometimes.)

Now, on to the point of this post. I'm currently 3 hours away from a one way flight to Chicago, Illinois, where I'll then take a bus to Great Lakes, starting my Basic Training as a United States Sailor (Hooyah). I tried college, but it just wasn't for me. Worked as a mechanic for a few months, that wasn't what I wanted to do either. But now I have a chance to better myself physically, mentally, and emotionally in a way I couldn't otherwise. I'm following in the footsteps of my brother, my father, my mother, two of my uncles, three of my aunts, and my grandfather before them. And as much as I'd like to tell all of you what my job is, and what it entails, I have one of the few jobs where I'm not legally allowed to tell anyone what I do. But I can give you some hints, feel free to try and figure it out on your own. It's a 3 letter rate (job), the first letter is a C, and it has to do with computers. Wish I could say more, but oh well. 

Some of you are probably wondering, "Why is the goodbye in quotes?" well, because I don't plan on leaving permanently. When I get to school in Pensacola, Florida (there's another hint for those of you trying to figure out what I'm gonna do) I'll probably buy a new computer and redownload minecraft to play with you guys again, because I honestly miss it so ******* much. But hey, any liberty I get I'll use some of it for you guys. I'd love some goodbyes or see ya laters from any of you that would feel so inclined to do so.

A dark smile crosses Rilath's face as he says "I do know of this individual..."

Lynx could only jump around in glee at the name, saying "Lucas, Lucas, Lucas!"

A powerful gathering of Shades as their Father finally returned to them, a single beckoning sent out to move all of the Shades, and a grand purpose in their motions as they stepped away from the sanctuary. As the Shades summoned up their power, Rilath temporarily claimed it as his own for a single action.

The deep darkness surrounding him would quite literally put out the lights near him as the Shades all collapsed to the ground, finding a moment of weakness as his power would gather into a single ball, viewing a darkness beyond consideration. As he brought it close to him...he spoke into it...

"Lucas...follow this beacon to this new land. Help bring the Shades the power we need."

And with that, he would toss it up into the air as a massive swirling mass of black mist would follow it before exploding into a massive swirling cloud of dark energy, a black twister visible around the Sanctuary for miles around.

I currently reside in USA Eastern Standard Time. Though I am usually on later, moreso during the Aussie times and what not. In other words, I don't usually play during EST rush hour.

What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

An event needs to be planned out and organized so that you aren't just making things up as you go along. There has to be an easily understandable purpose and reason behind the event. One of the most important things a good event could do without, is too much scripting. If the entire event is scripted, that leaves almost all of the player base out of some potentially amazing role play that can be used to further develop their character. And finally, an event has to be fun. This may seem like an obvious answer to most, but truth be told, some events that have taken place have not been very fun in my personal opinion. The players enjoy being involved in events, so I think they should be allowed to join in and role play with the actors.

What type of events are you most interested in creating?

Honestly, I am fine with creating any event that the public wants, or that the team needs. As long as it's fun for the server and the players are happy, I'm happy. Though, in my own personal taste, I think antagonistic events are very fun to play as, and be a part of.

What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team?

I've been told quite a bit that I'm a good RPer, and that people enjoy the characters I create and the situations I cause. If this sounds boastful, it is not meant that way, but I think the best thing I can bring to the E-Team is my role playing ability. Granted, it's not the best on the server by any means, but as a past Actor for the team I think it is easy to see that my words are not false. Original ideas are another thing I feel I could bring to the table. The Cultist event was very original, although it was influenced by the suggestion given by Alkenaar, it was almost completely thought up by myself and a few of the other Team members at that time. The players that were affected by it loved it, or at least they told me they did.

Create 3-5 distinct RP scenarios that you, as an actor, could create for others (at least one paragraph each):

-The Academy-

Into the docks comes a ship from a faraway land, filled with battle hardened men that look as if they are ready to kill. They set up camp a little ways away from the sanctuary, sending one of their own to post a message on the noticeboard. He nails on the piece of parchment and walks away, a stern look across his face. People gather round to read what the stranger posted, it is an invitation to 'The Academy,' and says further information will be given upon arrival to the camp. The people that go would be in for a surprise, as this camp full of what seems to be hardened war veterans, is actually an academy for dancing. They teach ways of pacifism and expression of ones' feelings through the art of dance.

-The Cover Up-

An invitation is sent out to all of the noble families asking them to come to a ball that will be hosted by an unnamed Baron. The ball is to be held quite a distance away from the cities, in the Baron's own personal castle. On the night of the ball, almost all of those invited make their way to the castle. They are greeted politely and served food and beverages at their leisure. The host of the ball finally introduces himself as his guards bar the gates, preventing any exit that may be made. He tells them that they will remain his guests until the following morning, when they'll be allowed to return to their homes. Meanwhile, in the now deserted areas of Oren, slavers would be making their way through the city and to their destination. They are bringing their cargo through the city, and without anyone there, they'd make it through. At the castle of the ball, the host would try to keep the people feeling comfortable. He'd act as if nothing is wrong, despite the fact that his guards have already slayed a couple that tried to leave. (The couple would most likely be played by actors.)

-The Recovery-

A merchants caravan is traveling along the road, looking for places to sell its wares when it is ambushed by a group of bandits. The bandits take everything, leaving the people with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The group of people make there way to (generic city) and ask players for help, saying they'd be willing to give them a small reward if they can assist with getting back the stolen goods. Those that agree would go on an adventure to find the bandit hideout. Clues would be left here and there, gossipers (Team members) could tell them where they've heard the base is located, etc. Once there, the group of players would help those from the caravan take back the items from the bandits. (Basically, a fight where the bandits lose.) Once the items are found, a small reward is given to those who assisted them as a token of thanks. (Perhaps they are given something that can be linked to a future event?)
