  1. ((Actually, if the dwarves can get a calender it will make holidays and the bible easier.))
  2. ((Spread out to stop huge chunks of the year from being holiday-less. Also, don't worry, the clergy will be reminding people about them when they are coming. However, Dwarven Calender, I think yes.
  3. :P Goodness, November is going to be SOOOooooo busy for me.
  4. O! So am I, or, am going to but can't find a place to start. Send me a PM or set up a google doc?
  5. Working on the songs, working on them.
  6. A note is pinned upon the Notice board, the flowing script likely that of a hired scribe. I request the initiates report to either Tortek or myself, Maellik, to truly begin studies towards priesthood. Rehnof, as an initiate in the studies of Ogradhad, may report to Bazian if Bazian will allow it. Beneath the note is the seal of Maellik Irongut, Archbishop of the Dwarves.
  7. Hanfast, noticing, and hearing, the stranger from afar quickly runs to his burrow. Running back, a small pack in his left hand and a tankard in his right can be seen. Getting to the stranger he smiles, though the smell makes his eyes water. "'lo dere stranger! I 'eard ye askin' fer some food an' such an' went ta git ye abit. It ain' meat but 'ere is some fairly fresh bread an' a tankard of my special Tookwater Terror's Delight brew. Anyway, da grub and ale 'll do ye some good I reckon. Enjoy!" Handing over the tankard of ale and the bread, Hanfast slowly walks off, whistling into the night.
  8. Upon the notice board, the door of each clan hall, and down many of the streets a note is pinned. The Clergy wishes to inform the Dwarves of the declaration of holidays to the Brathmordakin. Posted on the Temple announcement board ((Click HERE)) you will find the list of said holidays and a short description of each. Due to the time these holidays have been announced, the first that will be celebrated in the Dwarven nation shall be Armakak's Gift. Beneath the note is the seal of Maellik Irongut, Archbishop of the Dwarves.
  9. Another note is pinned by the other, the writing obviously of a hired scribe. These fools have stirred the anger of the Brathmordakin. Those who capture them will be publicly blessed by me, the Archbishop. It is also highly recommended by me that the weapon used to kill the dolts who dare insult our Dwarven honor be given to those who capture them, a trophy for the service paid to the nation. Beneath the note is the personal seal of Maellik Irongut, Archbishop of the Dwarves.
  10. Hopefully celebrating Holidays will help. I also agree with Bili, have mini events to keep things spiced up.
  11. Veterans day will be more of a Dungrimm holiday, if I add it. Also, poll closed. Expect an announcement of holidays from the church soon.
  12. Actually, thanks! Going to use this now.
  13. You're right, only international. However, since I'm American I may forget on some. Right now I'm thinkimg Christmas, Halloween, Easter, New years (maybe), (any other holiday I find is international on Google later  )

Details: Write a novel in the month of november. There is the "normal" one where you have to write at least 50,000 words there is the Young Writeres Program where the default is 30,000 words but you can set your own goal and even use a calculator thing to find out what your word goal should be.

I was thinking we mix the two together. We follow up on Arbrek's idea. CONVERT ALL THE HALFLINGS.

  16. Yes. Any non-dwarves that have voted, please remove your vote.
  17. Alright, here is my question to the dwarves. Do you want there to be official religious holidays that correspond with IRL holidays. So, IC there would be a holiday that corresponds with say, Halloween. We don't call it that but we only celebrate during Halloween. This would basically just be a way to enjoy the holidays in RP. Each holiday would be accounted to one of the Brathmordakin and would be seen as a religious holiday IC. However, it would basically be just like IRL. So, for Christmas, we would name it something like "Day of Anbella's Gift" or something like that and we would all give presents in-game etc. etc. Leave your comments and please vote in the poll. Thanks! EDIT: I'll be closing the poll at 12 PM (Noon) EST time on Sunday EDIT II: Only vote if you are a dwarf!
  18. Maellik listens intently, a slight scowl on his face. "Da type of dishona' da orcs are reported ta beh enactin' is repulsive! Dungrimm 'imself would find it sickenin! Ah'm in fava fer joinin' da elves doe ah agree dat dis foight is not ours unless da elves request it."
  19. The Vale Found The Water's Terror The Golden Harvest The Filled Mug The Dunwood Inn The Broken Apple The Warm Hearth The Prancing Pig
  20. Maellik smiles broadly at Rehnof, clapping him on the back. "Welcome to da Clergeh ma friend! Now, allow meh ta impart da blessins ov da Brathmordakin upon yeh." With that, Maellik begins to pray to the Brathmordakin, ending with a special prayer to Ogradhad "...may da fires ov yer wisdom beh kindled in Rehnof as 'e seeks ta follow yer teachins"
  21. Bears, we need bears! I can write lore up as to how it happened but whatever the case it needs to happen.
  22. ((Good idea! I'll start writing some stuff up but wouldn't mind anyone else sending me stuff too.))
