Would be cool if leather and chain had a little bit of speed drawback, because then people wearing no armor are still useful in battle. The same with leather, if chain has no speed reduce, leather is useless to use in pvp.

its not useless. Its cheaper to make and therefore easier to supply.

It's true leather is not that useful, but the studded variants are!
