[Well there's no reason you have to jump into an upper position :P and you don't need all four skills just one grouping of the two either swords/blacksmithing or axemastery/lumberjacking]
-
[There is not application for the Grandaxe Clan. Try joining the lower Clan of Grimaxes here. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/63557-the-reformation-of-the-grandaxe-clan/ ]
-
[The point of the lumberjacking requirement is so that it buffs the axe mastery skill. Same goes for the swords for it's blacksmithing counterpart. So I'm gonna have to say no on that one.]

Sees the dwarf and approaches him. "'ey dere laddie! Ah beh lookin' fer sum lads ter join up wit' meh ranks." Hands the dwarf a half crinkled up poster that describes what he talks about. He sits back and awaits the dwarf's response. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/63611-grandaxe-clan-is-hiring-swordarms/#entry496367

[Lore for the formation of this fighting group can be found here http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/63369-an-ancient-dwarf-looks-to-the-future/#entry496238] -=The Order among the Stone=- The Code: "Honor for the clan, glory from the war, and prosperity for the dwarves." This order is built to ensure the honor, glory and prosperity is kept with in the dwarven kingdom. Although one might think this is a dwarven only organisation, this Order is open to all races. The lands of the Order is based out of the dwarven hold of Kal'Anart but is not limited to that area. Lord Marshal The leaders of the Longbeards. These honorable dwarves have shown their loyalty many times to the Lord, he is to be trusted with leading the Order into battle while the Lord is away. These dwarves run the operations and organisation of the Order. Usually only one or two dwarves will be in this position. Longbeard This dwarf has proved his honor in combat and out of combat many times. He knows what it is to live by the code of "honor for the clan, glory from the war, and prosperity for the dwarves". This dwarf is to be addressed as, "onoir" before his first name. "Onoir" the the dwarven word for "honor", this says he has achieved honor for himself and his clan. He may also father a dwarf to join the Longbeards, making him a Beardling. But, only one dwarf may be taught the ways of the Stone at any given time. Beardling Once a dwarf has proved himself on the battlefield to one of the Longbeards, that dwarf may be chosen to being his ascent to becoming a Longbeard. This dwarf faces many trials that he must overcome and many enemies he must defeat. This dwarf may face humiliating tasks as to strike a sense of the word honor into the dwarf's mind. -=The Fighting Warriors of the Order=- These are the soldiers that fight for the Order but have not yet taken the Oath of the Stone, yet still fight under the Grandaxe Clan banner. Stoneflesh A veteran warrior that has seen his days on the battlefield. His flesh must be as tough as stone to survive all the battles this dwarf has endured, hence the name Stoneflesh. This is the highest rank of prestige that a Standard-Bearer can get without taking the Oath of the Stone. Level Requirements: Axemastery: 100 Lumberjacking: 50+ Or Swordsmastery: 100 Blacksmithing: 50+ Or Archery: 100 Swords/Axes/Wrestling: 50+ Ironbreaker The iron walls on the battlefield. These tank like dwarves use their hard metal armours and their ability to counter attack with swords to subdue their opponents in hand to hand combat. Setting up formations on the battlefield, they move as one, they hold the line. This rank is no better than the Hammerer rank. Level Requirements: Swordsmastery: 75+ Blacksmithing: 25+ Marksmen The ranged units of the Order. Standard-Bearers who have proven their aim on the battlefield and have shown they can keep cool and shoot their target even under pressure. Specializing in the bow, Marksmen have enough knowledge of some other form of combat that they can still fight up close if required. Level Requirements: Archery: 75+ Swords/Axes/Wrestling: 25+ Hammerer If a Standard-Bearer conducts himself well through out the ranks, proves his worth on the battle field and shows dedication for the dwarven people, than this dwarf may be promoted to Hammerer. These dwarves are built to smash the opponents armour, wielding either a hammer or an axe. This rank is no better than the Ironbreaker. Level Requirements: Axmastery: 75+ Lumberjacking: 25+ Standard-Bearer This is the bulk of the Order. These dwarves have proved their honor and have the right to bear the clan's standard or banner upon their person. No level requirements needed. -=Application=- -=OOC=- MC Name: Relevent Skill Levels: Link to Va if you have one: -=RP=- Name: What positions have you held in the past?: What is your trade?: Why do you wish to join the Order?: Do you swear, on your family's honor, that you will uphold this position, be loyal to the people of Kal'Anart and it's Lord? Do you swear that you will fight for the Grandaxe Clan, wearing the banner proudly upon your person? If you do, the proper response is; "On my honor of my family, I do ever so swear.":

An Ancient Dwarf Looks To The Future

Bazian's first thought to look, is the Holy kingdom of Oren. Leaving through the gates of Kal'Anart, he walks the road to the cloud temple. Unpon reaching the holy lands of the monks, he catches a ride on the nearest cart to Arethor. The city is bustling and full of lively people trading and whatnot. The first thing Bazian realizes once he enters the city, is the amount of organisation these people have. The members of the military clearly state so on their person by displaying their houses banner. He looks down at himself, not even displaying his clan banner that he is fathering to. Bazian walks the city streets some more, to see how the whole structure is setup. Walking past a house he sees a knight being outfitted by his squire. This was quite interesting for Bazian, a person whom takes on the role of a squire is under the tutelage of the knight, in return for some mediocre tasks. But, this quandary about knights sparked an interest in this old dwarf, he must learn more. Walking up to the local tavern, Bazian beings to talk to the townsfolk about the knights. Most spoke of the corruption of the few, but the great deeds of the many. They told of how the knights where put under a code to protect. This talk of corruption with one of these so called "holy" people stirred a discontent within him. If Bazian would reform the military system of Kal'Anart, he must do so in a manner where corruption would not be a problem. At the end of the day, Bazian headed back of Anart. He learned much of the systems of Oren just by talking to the local populace. He hops on a trade caravan, and returns home. -
Bazian sits atop his throne at his feasting hall. Younger dwarves swarm him with questions of his clan, the Grandaxes many of them asking to join. He becomes very unsure of if he should let these lads join so he has to turn them away. With long, disappointed faces, the young dwarves are turned away. Later that night Bazian lies awake in his bed, thinking about those younger dwarves. Those dwarves that are now without guidance, without the chance to prove themselves, they are turned away. Bazian eventually falls asleep in his deep thought. The next morning Bazian awakes with a sharp sense of inspiration. He quickly runs over to his fountain and splashes water in his face to wake him up, seeing of what he saw in his dream was actually a dream. Bazian wears a look on his face, the look of wisdom. His problem is solved. Later that day a notice is distributed through out the hold by various runner dwarves. Some of these dwarves head out the road to the other holds through out the Kingdom of Karik. Walking up to one of these notices, you begin to read. -=The Birth of the Lower Clan, Grimaxes=- May those ov Blood, stand 'nd beh recognized! Lower Clan Father- Skath Grandaxe The great Clan of the Mountain dwarves, the Grandaxes, be opening their ranks to the populance ov Kal'Anart, to the lower Clan, the Grimaxes! These dwarves of Kal'Anart, be allowed to join the lower Clan of Grimaxes, under the Grandaxes. These dwarves are sturdy young folk that is the basis of the commoners of Kal'Anart. This will allow for ranks to come out of the new influx of members in the Grimaxe Clan. If a dwarf of this lower clan is seen to show enough honor to the elders, they may be inducted into the Grandaxe Clan. Any dwarves looking ter join this clan, sign yer name below on this notice.

An Ancient Dwarf Looks To The Future

A knock is heard at the door of Bazian's Room. "Yer ale beh ready, sire." Calls a serving dwarf. In frustration Bazian sharply shoots back, "Well bluddeh jus' brin' it in 'ere!" The smallish looking dwarf rushes as fast as he can through the door walks quickly with the ale. He gives a slight bow to the angry looking lord, holding the ale in hand, and sets the ale on the table next to a large pile of crumpled papers. Bazian makes a hand gesture to shoo the dwarf away. "T'at will beh all," he grumbles. The old dwarf takes a dep breath and slowly gets up out of his char, cracking his back a bit as he does so. Bazian walks over to the window to calm himself. Looking over the fields, he surveys the land surrounding the hold. Almost in an instant, he thought of something. "Ah mus' travel." He thought to himself. "Surely th' successes ov th' udder lands culd shed sum loight on dis predicament." Bazian calls for his servant dwarf to fetch a bag for his journey. -
Walking around Kal'Anart, Bazian looks around the hold, and is quite pleased. The markets are bustling, houses are being sold, employment is working smoothly, everything is going along well. He walks past the tavern and hears the sound of tankards clanking and of old dwarves telling drunken tales of the past. He walks to the upper part of Valor Tower to have a better look at the dwarves working. He looks all around and smiles, until he notices the orc head on a pike and is reminded of the war. He takes a deep breath, thinking of what he can do to protect his people. He looks back to the dwarves below, this time with a different view of what is going on. He looks and sees a bunch of disorganized and unprepared dwarves. He sees that we thrive today but perish tomorrow. "In order fer our people t'e truly thrive, weh mus' organize ourselves," he mutters to himself. Bazian descends the Tower Valor and heads back to his palace. He sits alone at his workbench mulling over plans for the future.
