  5. If it was up to me, we would only be having one city, Adunians or not, and there wouldn't be any other cities or outposts built, just the one city. Just like the good old days...

  10. [lol, it was bugging me if you couldn't tell ;p Also add these under dwarven scripture] The Dwarven Religion The Proverb of Greed
  11. [You should add back in the enemies of the Brathmordikin section as well as the holy sights. It gives for some interesting heresies that might spot up and some pilgrimages to the shrines. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/86591-de-kirkja-dverga/?hl=%2Bkirkja+%2Bdverga ] Bazian approaches the Archbishop Indago with a wide smile. "It is good tew see ye friend. Been a lon' toime since Kal'Anart, eh?" Planting his cane in front of him for balance. "Aldough, ahm not 'ere fer personal reasons, ah 'ave some business. Since me lon' departure from th' Clergy ah would loike tew reclaim me place as ah priest ov Ogradhad. Ah do not come empty 'anded dough." Bazian hands Indago a few loose pieces of paper. "Take ah read, it'd beh ah good lesson fer th' youn'ins' as well as th' old." The Proverb of Greed One crisp mountian morning, the two dwarven gods Grimdugan, the Lord of Avarice, and Armakak, the Merchant Father, looked down upon Yemekar's world and saw two young beardlings. Grimdugan turns to his brother and says, "Look at these two brothers run about, they are but a double-edged axe, one is no different than the other. Nothing could be said about these two that is different than the other." Armakak looks down on the world in agreement, he could not refute his brother's claim. Being the rivals that these two brothers are, Grimdugan proposes a challange. "Look brother, I have many a keg of ale and you have many a keg of beer. Let us wager them so that we may see whom is the master of the mint, king of the coin. I will teach the lad Kili as you teach the lad Bili. The lad that has the most coin after three days is the victor." Unable to resist a challenge from his bitter rival, Armakak accepts saying. "Aye brother, you will see that patience and hard work is the way to earn true wealth." So, on the First day, the two great gods taught the beardlings and prepared them for the next day. Armakak gave Bili a pick which he mined great veins of iron to sell at his stall. Grimdugan gave Kili an obsidian dagger which he stole Bili's iron and sold it at his own stall. All day long this happened and Grimdugan laughed. "Look brother, my pupil has much more coin than yours, surely you should give up now." Armakak just smiled and said, "Just wait brother and see." On the Second day, Bili went back to the mines and brought back up more iron to sell. Kili, once again came and took it from Bili to his stall. Bili kept mining and would not break will, as Armakak taught him. On the Third day, Bili again mines and brings back iron to his stall. Although, Kili does not steal from Bili this day. Poisoned by greed, Kili lay dead for he thought nothing else besides his gold for he forgot to take care of his stomach. Armakak lets out a hardy laughs as Grimdugan grimaces. "You see now brother? Diligence and strong will leads to wealth.

  13. Bazian walks into the grand library in the almost barren city of Kal'Azgoth. The decrepit looking dwarf walks up to the Irongut with cane in hand. "Evenin'." He says with a sight bow of the head. "Per'aps ye can tell me w'ere Wulfic ov me kin 'as gone. Er 'ave I been gone longer den I fought?"
  14. Bazian wakes up rubbing his head wondering why no one woke him. [i'm gonna play Bazian again cause I didn't like how the human RP was going.]
  15. Azgrin watchs all the Flays become Inuits.
  16. Looks great Native. I'm sure you've been reading the posts, but we are going for a Markharth-like city. It would be fitting if we had a more "basin-a-top-a-mountain" kinda landscape. (if that makes and geographical sense lol) Something along those lines if you could fashion it into that. Although, we can always form our cities around the landscape and form it to our needs. Either way works really, just means more diggy diggy.
  17. Agreed. Take a good look at the architectural design at Kal'Anart. We incorporated a lot of spruce wood into our building. Try utilizing plain smoothstone and cobble. It's been more complex configurations of stone brick lately that I've seen. Netherbrick could work as long as we could get our hands on it constantly. Most of the buildings will be done IG and we should build with the resources that we have around us. I would love to see us use more rare gems and minerals (gold, lapis, iron, etc.) later on in our builds when we have the ore. This shows more of our dedication to mining and our overall greed. For example. Kal'Urguan Throne Room.
  18. Legion and Yemekar's Pick I can agree with, but that is really not my decision, it's for the current dwarves in power to decide. I only said the Clergy/rememberancers is because they deal almost exclusively with the dwarven nation and they are already of small number and would not be able to support themselves without the crutch of the nation. The thing about private created guilds is that it gives players something to build on and make they're own. Its a concept we never really applied that other nations have. I do however give you mad props for your work on the Legion and how you transformed it to a powerhouse of not only power but structured RP with the advancement, constant practices and "honor system." I believe if we should keep these other guilds that we should hold them to the same standard and requirement that you brought the Legion to. As for clans, I like the idea of forcing people into clans. Clans are definitely what we need no more of... Lots of good points and good questions. Most of this would be in regards to whomever gets on the build server or if we even have one. But I do like your thinking about future generations of dwarves. That's the best part about the "above-ground" city. It is much easier to change and fit the purposes of future generations simply because there's a lot less rock to work through. We should have the Clergy/Rememberancers above the palace as like a temple. Like having the old deprecated dwarves a place where they can be called on for answers from the council about specific things. Just an idea.
  19. I think a good fix would be to allow them to go independent, excluding the newly founded Rememberancer/Clergy guild. The ones that can survive the test of time, will be the ones that are truly guilds.
  20. This is a point that we never really focused on as a nation. There needs to be room for private expansion of guilds within the city walls. To keep people staying, you need to let them make something that is there own, something they will have a connection to here. A guild house is a fine way to get a group of rpers together that have reason to stay together.
  21. The only problem I see with this design is that everything is so restricted to particular parts of the city. The city should flow more naturally all around, not to mention the natural landscape. I think its a good idea to plan out the castle and military areas, but with everything else such as guilds, clergy, housing, etc. it should flow evenly through the city. That way, we won't have this problem of having empty space where places are set aside for something or parts aren't filled. And then, roleplay can flow more evenly with all space being used.
