  1. I am the Senate

  2. A man-at-arms bearing red, white and black regalia is seen nailing placards into place around areas affiliated with the house such as the Westerlands, Savoie and all Goldman properties. They read as follows: "The first and third marriages of Count Hadrien de Sarkozy to Catalina Osman and Lyra of House Amedaius are hereby formally annulled under papal law on grounds of consanguinity and infidelity! Issue of these unions are to be declared illegitimate and removed from House de Sarkozy's line of succession! The only legitimate marriage of the Count of Norfolk was his second union to Gisela of House Stafyr, God rest her soul. The Lord Sarkozy remains once again free of marriage on account of the deaths of his former wife and before her, her predecessors. From the office of Ertugral Bayezid Osman, Chancellor of Norfolk." ((Much needed bump.))
  3. ((Aldersberg is now a county and has been renamed the County of Norfolk, however I believed I paid my taxes directly to my liege who then paid them to the crown...))

he actually is, you should see the descriptions and biography i'm writing for my VA

  5. Hadrien de Sarkozy's baronial lands have been converted into a county and renamed Norfolk. The 'Barony of Aldersberg' now refers to the westernmost part of the county in the spruce forest's basin. So basically, just please change Hadrien de Sarkozy's rank to count and his holdings to the 'County of Norfolk'.

  7. Hadrien sits in his counting house donning a typically dour ermine robe. He is warmed by a small and niggardly fire - not so much due to poverty but rather due to a miserly unwillingness to spend good coin on trifles such as coal. Upon receiving word of the organisation, he adjusts his plumed hat and shakes his head disapprovingly. "They must leave Anthos, the promised land, or we shall push them out!"

  8. Baron Hadrien de Sarkozy shifts uncomfortably in his leather chair after being informed of this formal declaration. He nods to his aide, Tobias, before formulating an impromptu speech. He gestures for his scribe to prepare his quill. "These Malinor residents...these elven heretics...they are beyond redemption. They are sinful to the highest degree and I must urge the Empire's men to give no quarter nor rest to these savage pagans - for it is not merely their government that is at fault - it is their entire species. A misbegotten kind looked upon with such justified disdain that they are barred from our respectable establishments and institutions. Nay, there is no redemption for the elves of Malinor. They have been given the most gracious opportunity to reform from our blessed Emperor, and most unwisely they have refuted such an offer and remained steadfast in their morally bankrupt beliefs and practices. In order to ensure the continued stability of our holy nation, Malinor's residents must be put to the sword and its fields both salted and annexed. This conquered land should be distributed accordingly among the paragons of virtue within the Empire who have so long gone unnoticed - Thomas Chivay, Peter Chivay, His Holiness Lucien the first, Hochmeister Mirtok DeNurem and the barons Carrion and Varodir. I, Baron Hadrien de Sarkozy of Aldersberg, believe utmost that these subhuman beings made of dirt and mud formed in the shape of sentient creatures must be either cleansed or put to work in camps in order to further our interests." Satisfied with his composition, he adds the appropriate valedictories and sends the letter to High Pontiff.
  9. Upon reading the paper, Carduin Maeyr'onn shakes his head disapprovingly, contemplating the thesis' words. "The mali'aheral shall no longer be a puppet state to the reprehensible mali'ame demagogues. We are hardly subject to the fascist prattling of lesser elves. No self-respecting mali'thill who truly stands for the interests of our kind would sit upon such a council." He says this in a barely audible, almost inane murmur.
  10. Hadrien strokes his dark brown beard fervently, scanning the letter with hungry eyes. He briefly considers bringing Marcus along to spice up the proceedings, however subsequently decides against it for the sake of his own integrity.

  13. The Lord Secretary stepped forward to his master's side at the ramparts, seemingly out of the darkness. Hadrien de Sarkozy, compared to Thomas Chivay, was not an imposing man. Relatively thin and short, with dour and clerical clothing, he was the epitome of a statesman and an administrator - his recently appointed office he had taken duly with the utmost enthusiasm (As well as a thick golden chain of rank) and begun his work as soon as possible. Watching the corpses be hoisted up by the working footmen, he gave a slight frown of distaste at the sight of the dirty work. Nevertheless, it painted a fine example. "Lordship. I see you've taken my advice on our propaganda matter?"
  14. To Lord Nord I, Prince-Archbishop of the Rhine, Your wisdom and mercy are legendary. Unfortunately we cannot join your war at this time. His Holiness, Pope Paul III
  15. After scanning the notice, Carduin gives a smug smile at the mention of a demand for Kolyat's forced resignation. "Good riddance to bad rubbish," he thinks aloud. "As they say."
  16. Carduin Maeyr'onn looks around the Silver City with squinted eyes laden with paranoia. Ensuring nobody is watching, he drops his submission in the box. I nominate Vulnir Kalenz Uradir for the position of Okarir'tir. I support this nomination with my subsequent vote.
  17. It should be noted that Nelecar being this character's grandfather was a bit of an OOC joke I made. He would never have procreated with a dark elf, though it is plausible that one of his more libertine sons did. I would ask that all who refer IC to Nelecar having had carnal relations with a dark elf cease their actions - unless of course their characters are being slanderous, in which case that is perfectly fine. Even if it did happen, great lengths would have been taken in order to ensure it wasn't public knowledge, and I sense that some subtle meta gaming has occurred on the part of certain elven officials.
  18. Baron Hadrien de Sarkozy receives the letter as all messages to his nephew's office pass through his own unless otherwise stated. Scanning the letter, he scowls and gives a contemptuous shake of his head, promptly dropping the missive in his fireplace, ensuring Arjen will never get it unless multiple copies are sent. He mutters to himself inanely. "I shall deal with Adeon myself."
