Baron Hadrien de Sarkozy shifts uncomfortably in his leather chair after being informed of this formal declaration. He nods to his aide, Tobias, before formulating an impromptu speech. He gestures for his scribe to prepare his quill.
"These Malinor residents...these elven heretics...they are beyond redemption. They are sinful to the highest degree and I must urge the Empire's men to give no quarter nor rest to these savage pagans - for it is not merely their government that is at fault - it is their entire species. A misbegotten kind looked upon with such justified disdain that they are barred from our respectable establishments and institutions. Nay, there is no redemption for the elves of Malinor. They have been given the most gracious opportunity to reform from our blessed Emperor, and most unwisely they have refuted such an offer and remained steadfast in their morally bankrupt beliefs and practices. In order to ensure the continued stability of our holy nation, Malinor's residents must be put to the sword and its fields both salted and annexed. This conquered land should be distributed accordingly among the paragons of virtue within the Empire who have so long gone unnoticed - Thomas Chivay, Peter Chivay, His Holiness Lucien the first, Hochmeister Mirtok DeNurem and the barons Carrion and Varodir. I, Baron Hadrien de Sarkozy of Aldersberg, believe utmost that these subhuman beings made of dirt and mud formed in the shape of sentient creatures must be either cleansed or put to work in camps in order to further our interests."
Satisfied with his composition, he adds the appropriate valedictories and sends the letter to High Pontiff.
