History
Childhood (Birth - 13 Years)
Minwoo Snow was born into a very strict family. They lived in a monastery, up in the snowy peak of a mountain in the north. The closest human contact was a small village at the bottom of the mountain, almost 100 miles away. Out of four children, he was the second oldest. Obedient and strong Sungho was his older brother, funny and clever Yunho was his younger brother, while innocent and beautiful Yoona was his little sister. The Snow's are a clan known for their wise and knowledgeable scholars, and as such Minwoo was expected to become a scholar. From age 3, he was forced into a strict education process with numerous tutors alongside his brothers. Sungho excelled and was proclaimed a prodigy, Yunho was average, while Minwoo barely trudged through the classes. Their father, Tungsu, favored and was proud of Sungho and Yunho, while ignoring and often scolding Minwoo. Yumi, their mother, was sympathetic to Minwoo and gave him special treatment. However, she would not defend Minwoo since it would defy her husbands wishes; something ingrained from years of teaching. Once a month, the Snow family would come down from their monastery to the small village of Nulom. There, Minwoo befriended a local hunter named Nemo Strom. Nemo was reluctant to befriend Minwoo, then a young lad and son of a famous family. However, Minwoo eventually grew on him and they became like father and son. Nemo taught Minwoo how to use a bow to hunt, stalk the prey quietly, prepare the meat for eating, how to fish with a rod, and how to use a dagger to defend himself. Minwoo was infinitely more interested in these types of activities than his studies back in the monastery. Unfortunately, Tungsu found out about Minwoo's friendship with Nemo, and forbid him to go back to Nulom.
Teenage Years (13 - 18 Years)
Minwoo was forced to obey his father's wishes, until he became 13. He began to rebel against his father, sneaking out of the monastery to hang out in the village for days at a time. However when Minwoo first went back to Nulom, 3 years had passed. Nemo had disappeared, and no one in town knew the exact reason why he left. It was as if Nemo had randomly picked up his stuff and left town. Minwoo was distraught at first, but quickly got over Nemo's disappearance. He went over to Nemo's old cabin and found all of the tools he left behind. With these he began to hunt and cook once more, almost completely ignoring his studies. After about a year of this, Tungsu decided to lay down the law on his son. He gave Minwoo an ultimatum: stop the hunting nonsense and focus on his studies, or be disowned from the clan. To everyone's surprise, Minwoo chose to leave behind his clan in favor of living the life he truly wanted. This angered and dissapointed Tungsu, crushed his mother Yumi, angered Sungho, and saddened Yunho and Yoona. Minwoo went back to Nemo's abandoned cabin, and decided to refurbish it into his own. He hunted for food, and traded the leather and extra meat at Nulom. Every month Yumi, Yunho, and Yoona would come visit him, while Tungsu and Sungho chose to forget his existence. Everyday he would continue to practice and hone his skills with the bow, dagger, fishing rod, and cooking. At age 17, Minwoo was tiring of his daily routine. He wanted to explore the world, brave new adventures, and find out what happened to his mentor Nemo. The next time his family came to visit, he told them of his plans to go adventuring across Anthos. This further saddened them, but it was an expected sorrow. They accepted his goals, and promised to keep quiet about it until he was long gone. Finally, one day Minwoo packed his bags and left, almost as randomly as Nemo did.
The Wandering Years (18 - 19 Years)
Minwoo had set off extremely under-prepared. After a couple of days, he became stranded in a desert. A group of Orcs found Minwoo one day and beat him up, taking all of his stuff. Soon, Minwoo was broke and near starvation. Finally, he passed out in the middle of the desert, only a couple of miles from a village. When he came to, he was in a bed at the Cloud Temple, being cared for by a kind monk. When he was all healed, the monks could only give him a walking stick and some loaves of bread. With those few possessions, Minwoo began exploring Anthos. He traversed the land, dodging monsters, doing odd jobs, picking up gossip, learning useful skills, meeting interesting people, and hunting for spare change. He had a brief stint with The Emerald Rangers, but quit quickly after being given no objectives besides patrolling the walls of Baile. During his travels, Minwoo picked up an appreciation for ale from all of the taverns he'd been at, and pipe-weed from the Halflings of Lenfarthing. He decided that he could make better ale and pipe-weed than the rest, and began to look for someone to loan him some cash in Salvus. Luckily, Art Akkaris found him before he could accept a crippling loan from a corrupt banker. Art convinced him to forget about the loan idea, and instead got him to join The Arcane Delvers.
The Arcane Delvers (19 - 20 Years aka Present Day)
As soon as he joined the Arcane Delvers, Minwoo was thrown into the life of adventure he had been dreaming of. Everyday at Ac'Talarah was a crazy experience, and Minwoo loved every minute of it. After some months in the Delvers, he was promoted to a Tier 1 Delver Rogue, thinking his skills of stalking beasts and use of dagger and bow to be suited for rogue-like activities. While training and adventuring, Minwoo saw that the kitchen was rarely used and in a disastrous mess. He decided to take it upon himself to organize the kitchen, and cook his fellow Delvers delicious meals. He read books from the library, and pulled from years of cooking his prey to serve hearty meals to his brethren. Minwoo finally felt like he belonged with the Delvers, and chose to take up permanent residence with them. With the Delvers, Minwoo went into his first real war. The fighting between the Teutons and Blackmonts greatly matured Minwoo from a young lad to a man. He witnessed death and destruction up close for the first time, and was shocked by the assassinations carried out in Ac'Talarah. Minwoo began to develop a hatred for the White Roses, who frequently attacked and killed the Delvers for almost no reason. Alongside the gloominess, Minwoo kept practicing the peaceful activities of fishing, cooking, and brewing. Currently, he is gearing up for another war between Oren and Dwarves.
