Looking upon the new land, Merkel is confused by the new sights and sounds. This new world was no place for him he could only think. With Asulon no-more, Merkel had lost the only land he knew. He could have a chance to start a new life, turn over a new leaf. With this in mind, Merkel could only wander into the forest of the wilds and look for his purpose. As he walks down a path lightly trodden by creatures of the wild. Stopping, he takes his bow from his back, snapping it in half on his knee, he throws his father's broken bow into the nearest bush. As he begins walking again, he unslings his quiver from his back- only a few arrows left, mostly in poor condition anyway. Merkel drops it and leaves it on the ground behind him. Unfastening his belt, he throws it to one side, drawing the knife out of it. Crouching down now, he plunges the knife into the rich soil. Merkel stands back up, his knees popping, and begins once more begins walking. He tears off his worn mask, letting the gentle breeze caress his scarred, burnt flesh. Now just a man with nothing of worth, Merkel disappears into the brush of the forest. Leaving his trail of belongings behind him. He dreams of starting a new life, but he knows this new world holds nothing for a man such as himself. He knows he won't be returning. He knows he's walking to his death. Yet he walks on, to meet his fate. (( Killing Merkel off, not the most interesting character to roleplay. Hoping to start a Halling character in the summer holidays. Ginger out.
