MC Name: Hellsbane IC Name: Varien Moore Age: 30 Race: Human, Highlander Minor Backstory: Varien grew up as a Northener, within a small village north of the dwarven mountains living as a hunter of game to help support the village. Wolves were a constant issue, always attacking the limited sheep stock that the villagers used for wool to help against the harsh temperature drops. At the age of 29, Varien left his village in search of a greater challenge, not sated with the monotonous lifestyle of wolven attrition. He traversed the wilds to the south, surving with what he had learnt growing up arriving at the cloud temple with little to no resources left. Spotting a poster about a hunting organisation on a nearby board, the idea of hunting monsters and foul beasts sounded like it was just the lifestyle he had been seeking.

Kailon scanned around the group, puffing his pipe as everyone called out how they'd lend their melee to the cause. The grandaxe parted the pipe from his lips, and spoke out his contribution, "If ye be needin' a bow, ah'll be more den 'appeh tuh provide". He raised his bow to show he wasn't just blabbing for the sake of being different.

Kailon slides a piece of parchment that had been laying on his desk since the morning, as he gave it a glance over under torch-light. A furrowed brow developed on his face as he studied the proposal of a beast hunt atop the open sea. His face grew brighter, as he nodded in approval, his pipe reaching his mouth, with small puffs of smoke emitting from his nose afterwards. "Seem like it'd be just the thing tuh get me mind off all dis terrible business goin' on". The intrigued dwarf took out a quill, and began to draft a letter to respond to the Bounty venture:

Kailon raised his pipe to the name of the legendary dwarf, before inhaling a large cloud of smoke. As he exhaled, and let the veil of herbal smoke coat the floor, he shook his head in remorse. "First weh lose maneh kin in dis frivolous war, now weh lose wun of the finest dwed 'oo ever graced dese 'alls?" The troubled Grandaxe parted the pipe to the edge of his mouth, and puffed out a few whisps of smoke, before murmuring to himself. "At least the Sea Dwed 'n dat giant golem 'ave nae bothered us again. Nae sure we could cope with it right now".

Kailon sat at his desk, legs propped onto the table, as he gazed into the dimming dusk sky. A plume of fragrant smoke left his nose, as it dispersed across the floor of his attic abode. The dwarf placed a hand over his head, and shook in dismay, thinking back on the battle. "We should've been wun. A grand people o' prosperity 'n' might. But what did we succumb tuh?" The dwarf inhaled another cloud of vapour, his mind already set on what he was saying to himself in after-thoughts. Kailon opened his mouth to speak, as smoke weaved its way out amidst his teeth, "Greed". He blew out the rest of the smoke, as he sat back in his finely-crafted pinewood chair, and gazed into the darkening sky, a torch to his side becoming the only light-source in his presence. As his elbow met the desk's surface, his forehead met his palm. "Nae matter 'ow we justify our actions. Be it survival, necessiteh, or savagereh. We all succumbed tuh our dwarven curse, an' readileh Kin-slayed without hesitation". Kailon inhales some of the smoke wafting around his face, exhaling it out of his nose shortly after with a long sigh. "....Ooooh 'ow teh mighteh 'ave fallen".
