  2. To start, I'd like to say I completely support these rules, as they eliminate the problems that we seem to be having in regard to this current mess of a war. Perhaps the text needs slight amending at points, but overall, the proposed rules are fair, and would be effective I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do, but I really can't help but to respond to Omnyaxle's rather blatantly flawed argument. Countries IRL don't have to write warclaims to occupy foreign nations. On LotC, however, we do. The Krughanistani Bloc's constant denial both on skype and once on the forums (that turned into a real enjoyable thread, eh?) to accept a warclaim for pillage or conquest has proven that they are unwilling to war through proper channels. The attempt to achieve warclaim results by occupying a city without actually writing the conquest warclaim because of fear that you'd lose is blatantly obvious here, and it's kind of pathetic, to be honest. On top of that, however, you actually have the gall to say that the people who did try to orchestrate a proper battle are the ones hiding behind rules. I don't think anybody here has trouble seeing right through this argument. EDIT: I'd also like to note the warclaim which the orcs made on the elves, the rules stipulating "no allies," and that all forces involved be listed beforehand. Upon reading this list, you called of the battle, because you realized that you would be absolutely annihilated. This is just another piece of evidence to show which side is the one afraid to engage in proper roleplay.
  3. OOC Name : Sarkly RP Name : Marcus Constantine Whom do you vote for ? (( Narthok, Cupcwakez, ww2buff99 )) Gabriel, Irelia, Spartacus Associates, Allies, and Mali'Fenn may vote for whom they think can rule.
  4. Give this a read if you can. It's impressive and sad, but well worth the time. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/112479-a-veterans-mortality/

  5. I'd love to provide help in any area necessary. I've got experience with Adunia in Asulon, the time this is based on. Also, I'd love to streamline the dialogue (nothing gets me more than bad scripting... kind of off-putting).
  6. Marcus Constantine, having declined to attend the rave, watches the gate. He enjoys a novel in his spare moments.
  7. 4/10. Feel like I should know you, but I'm just being forgetful.
  8. 4/10 Sort of feel as if I've seen you before... but don't know where.
  9. Kosher salt is best salt. Israel forever. Anyway, got to admit the music choice for this one was /much/ better than ours... heh. :-P
  10. Desolation. Constant warfare throughout the Fringe had brought it about—and it was time for it to end. So thought the leaders of Oren, and so they acted. A parley was arranged for between Oren and it's elven allies, and the Dwarven Alliance. The men of Oren filed into Vekaro, garrisoning it's gatehouse, prepared to move. Across a narrow strip of grass, the noble Elves of Tahn'Siol stood by on their walls. The importance of the event was clear: severe disciplinary measures were threatened for those who stepped out of line. Silence prevailed on the walls of the city as the delegation of Oren moved out of the city. Marcus Constantine stood silent upon the wall beside his comrade Celcian Colin. "Were this to come to battle... would you have my back?" whispered Colin. "You know I shall do all I can, friend, though I fear I may not be able to protect even myself." Mark replied. "I'll look out for you as well, then." Something was wrong at the meeting. The voices which had a moment ago been inaudible to humans were now plain to hear. The Hochmeister had refused diplomacy. As the Hochmeister and the Marshals of Oren left the parley zone, rage filled Decurion Lowedge. "You refuse diplomacy, eh? Now you die!" The dwarven lord could do nothing, for his size, and lack of agility proved to be his downfall. Arthal Lowedge bested him in one on one combat. Arrows thudded into the wooden roofs of the houses behind the walls of Vekaro. The battle had begun. Not only Oren Regulars, but also High Elves began firing at the Dwarven forces. Charging forth, the dwarven legionnaires and Teutonic knights, caught impotent in the crossfire, were met with a hail of arrows. Try as they might, the enemy's lack of siege engines meant that no path was established for their troops to move into Oren's base. Their frustration grew until the Hochmeister, overcome with annoyance, shouted out at the Orenians, "Come out and face me, you cowards!" The forces of Oren, already rallied at the gates of Vekaro, obliged. And Mirtok fell. Almost immediately the forces of the Teutons and dwarves were driven from the battlefield. They holed up in their fortress, protected by the "Great Trench of Industry." Occupying the hill, the Orenians made several forays toward the wide-open gate, each time causing and sustaining casualties. Finally, the enemy resolved to sally forth, at least in part. Celcian Colin fell, and Mark charged forward to save his comrade. It was not to be, for Celcian was evacuated by the Monks before Mark could honor his commitment to him. The Dwarven and Teutonic forces did, however, collapse, fleeing back into their fortress. Finally, after further standstill, the enemy sallied forth once more. This time, they were crushed. Fleeing through their wall, the valiant Teutons tried to cover their retreat with a flanking maneuver; they were slaughtered. Small skirmishes were fought for some time afterward, however, the battle had already been won. Carried up in the glorious rejoicing of the moment, Mark left behind the sorrow of his failed commitment to his friend, for he could hardly have helped. After all, there would be more battles yet to come in which to prove himself. Knowing that, despite the deposition of the dwarven king for his crimes committed which started the war, the dwarves chose to persist in their unrighteous resistance against peace and the might of Oren, Marcus, for the first time, felt entirely justified for uttering this word since its use had begun. After all... what honor-less barbarians didn't deserve... "EXTERMINATUS!"
  11. Mark nods frequently as the crier of Kaldonia reads this document to the populace. "There is only one logical conclusion. EXTERMINATUS."
  12. I agree. I actually tried to rp yesterday, but the raids got in the way until it was past 9:00 PM CST. Putting a longer cooldown will definitely help alleviate the constant pressure to defend yourself everywhere, and counter-attack so you don't look like a wimp.
  13. Marcus Constantine cried out before the capital of the Dwarves, along with his comrades, fearless, and lusting for battle, "EXTERMINATUS!" The order had been given, and well was it carried out. Traitors, denying the Imperial preeminence and its ultimate power, acting against it directly or supporting those who did, were utterly destroyed. Yet the GLORY of the empire was shown not in those it murdered, but in those it spared. True was the adherence to both the spirit of vengeance and the spirit of justice. When the dwarfish menace approached after the SACK OF KAL'ARKON, the forces of Oren were ready—after all, which dwarves willing to fight had survived the sack save the most base and cowardly, who had fled their city to leave it at the mercy of their enemies? Though Oreners lost their lives at the defense of Vekaro's walls, and even Mark had received a painful wound, yet many more were the number of the dwarves who died as the bulk of Oren's forces rallied from the keep. It was said among many that the Dwarf-scum faced not only the forces of Oren that day, but also THE FORCES OF THE CREATOR, AND HIS ANGEL OF DEATH, so great were their casualties. "DEUS MAGNUS. ORENIA INVICTA." "EXTERMINATUS."
  14. A voice rises amidst the exulting cry resounding in the halls of Oren's soldiery, joining the clamor. "AVE ORENIA! DEUS VULT!"
  15. Really, if people keep getting banned... frankly, I don't want the White Rose blaze of glory issue to arise again. So. Chill out.
  16. Exercitus Imperium Recruit and late member of the Order of Saint Lucien Marcus Constantine raises his sword in the crowd. "AVE CHIVAY! AVE OREN! AVE IMPERIUM! AVE HUMANITY! EXTERMINATUS!"
  17. Mark Constantine mumbles as he reads the 21 theses, "The identification of the problem is accurate, but the solution is incredibly, explosively overdone. Perhaps the removal of certain church officials responsible, and a return to the days of the pre-Darfeyist papacy would be the best solution... Anyway, who would dissolve a church on twenty-one theses? Seems like a much larger number would be needed... say, ninety-five."
  18. Banned for banning the man who banned the guy who banned me on false grounds. Byzantium = Rome + Christianity logically, Byzantium > Rome because you'd have to subtract something from it to make it equal Rome. ((that argument was just 4 the lulz))
  19. 20. Banned for taking an elven military order seriously. Really, who does that?
