Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: My name is Joe, Im would say, in general, a kind character, not easily aggravated. I spend most of my time playing video games, and I have some mild experience RP'ing. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Roughly 5 hours a day, depending on homework and such. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Role play is immersing yourself into another character, becoming them and (in a sense) leaving yourself behind. You make the choices that character makes, do the things that character would do, not your self. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've mad a small amount of experience, I have played D&D with friends once or twice, but that's about it. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is bringing information you know, and giving that to your character, If your friend tells you about a big operation in their guild, if your character automatically knows too, this would be meta-gaming. Another form would be perhaps knowing someone's name before even speaking to them, or seeing someone through a wall ( Minecraft in-game mechanics) In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power gaming is forcing an action apon another player's character i.e; Driving an axe between someone's shoulder blades, instantaneously killing them, giving them no chance to react, or fight back. It is also where the character may be perfect, for example being immortal, with no weaknesses, no remorse etc. What do you expect this server will be like?: After watching through the trailers, I am expecting it to be great! What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Many others, mainly pvp-based servers, although recently I have played on a creative server with my brother and friends Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have. In-Character: Character Name: Malek Dorcut What Race are you?: Human What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Northerner Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Malek grew up in a small village to the north, the land of the cold, almost a barren wasteland. His days were filled with hunting, and the gathering of berries, he learnt everything from his father, how to kill an animal, skin it, and cook to meat to perfection on an open fire. Malek never knew his mother, as she died in child birth, leaving only his father to raise him. His father, Thomas, always told stories of his mother, her undying beauty, and dark eyes, haunting, yet magnificent. Malek would just stare and wonder as his father spoke of her, imagining what she would have been like, if she would have loved him as his father had. The only thing of her's he had to see, was a wooden grave outside of their log-hut, with the words '' Maria / Lest we forget. '' etched into it. As the years went by, Malek began to become stronger, and his father became weaker. Every night, his father would read to Malek, stories of powerful wizards and mighty warriors and their battles against dragons, giants and the souls damned to walk the earth. These things had always intrigued him, even as he grew into adulthood, he would still sit and listen to his elderly father. One cold winters morning, as Malek came to wake his father, he found his father's body next to the fire-place, he looked so peaceful, so innocent. Malek understood his father's passing, and knew it was peaceful. For this he was greatful. That evening he cremated his father, on a pile of tinder they had gathered the previous week, together. It was a tough decision, but Malek decided to leave the hut, of which is all he had known of his entire life, and head out into the mountains, seeking whatever he may find, love, happiness, perhaps a place to call home. He grabbed his father's bow and quiver, still with 14 arrows left in it, and set out into the mountains, ready for whatever might face him. Malek now stands roughly 6ft 2" tall, and is roughened from the harsh weather of the north, his skin is pale and his hair and beard are formed into braids. He is generally anti-social person, only ever living with his father, his 'people skills' aren't great. He wears furred clothing, with a hood to protect himself from the harsh blizzard storms. His key trait, however is perseverance, once he begins a task he won't stop until complete. What is your Character's ambitions?: To find reasoning in himself, a place to settle, a cause worth fighting for. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Either his dagger or bow. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? His skill with a bow is better than average, but not particularly amazing. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: Interested in magic, perhaps would like to be taught if attainable. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? He would watch on in wander, with his bow in hand incase the bandits turned on him, after they had left, he would simply continue on wandering, not delving into any trouble. If the bandits noticed, and began proceding towards Malek, he would notch an arrow in to his bow, it aimed at the exposure in their armour, the neck, warning them to not take another step towards him. Foolishly taking another step towards him, he fires an arrow, it penetrating their shoulder, a small amount of blood sketched across the floor, he then draws his dagger, seeing his only upper hand in this situation is mobility, he darts to escape. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Malek would browse his wares intently, checking for food, or gear. Perhaps something he could trade on at a higher price. If the merchant has what he wants, he would kindly give the money and take his items, with a thanks. If none of the merchant has anything he desires he would shake his head and say '' Not today. '' walking away. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Malek would check further for signs of life in the shack, if none found he would take the iron and the golden blade, as they may save his life, or fetch a hefty price in the nearest town. If there is evidence that someone is still living there, he would leave the items, as they could be the difference between life and death for a man in solitude Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Malek greets them with a warm smile, and asking them if they have any food to trade, or a warm place to stay, offering what he can in return for their kindness. If they deny him food, or shelter, he would simply nod, and leave the village, stopping only 100 meters from the village, and waiting until nightfall, only to take a small amount of food, enough to keep him going, and continue on his journey. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Malek would dismiss the information, he is not one to go hunting bandits and such, he would much rather sit in the town and watch the world go by. If confronted by one of the men recruiting he may join up, but slip away from the fighting, and watch the battle from afar, scavenging what he can from the battle afterwards, food, jewels, arrows.
