He was known as a shady individual that many suspected was up to some illegal business, selling a sort of contraband. Despite the rumors, James was anything but a shady man, all he did was work on his crops and sell them for profit. Finerty was lonely, and often traveled to taverns to purchase booze, and drink them alone in his home. However, one night he had gone to the tavern and decided he wanted to be social, but ended up in bed with a woman that he would later never tell his son, Peter, about. He had sex with her, and he impregnated her. James assisted her through the pregnancy, and left her once his son Peter Finerty was born. He and this woman's paths would never cross again. James loved Peter passionately, and greatly enjoyed his company. Since James was somewhat of a loner, he wasn't used to the constant attention and company of another. Given his wealth, Peter was showered in gifts, but had a growing curiosity of his mother as he grew older, but James did not want to admit to his son that he was, in fact, a bastard. James then had another child from another woman, born in a similar way. His name was Michael, another bastard. The cycle went through just like Peter, Michael was showered in gifts, and loved greatly. Once the both of them were in their early twenties, they left the house, where Michael would marry a beautiful woman named Katrina, and have a son named Lucas. Lucas was something of a wild-child, always causing mischief and being a nuisance to others. When Lucas was fourteen, both Katrina and Michael killed themselves, no note, or no particular or apparent reason, leaving Lucas to Peter and his family. Meanwhile, Peter had married a woman named Emily and had two children, Lydia and David Finerty. David was the same age as Lucas, and Lydia was aged seven. Peter Finerty was a complete mess. He was a severe alcoholic and was hardly getting by, he had just been evicted from their home. They were hardly getting by, and are currently looking for a new home. Jacob receives the envelope, carefully peeling off the seal. As he opens the professional looking letter, he reads it over several times. After processing the information and struggling with the large words, he grins widely and gets very excited. He runs off.

After seeing all these comments, I'm killing the House. It isn't what it use to be and it will never be that way. I will most likely make a new family with new lore and start from scratch.
