  1. Y'look right well, Borin. Welcome tuh th' Hyrr Battalion. Ye'll serve as a recruit 'till we figure out wot you're made of!
  2. The Hyrr Battalion What is the Battalion? A unit based in Hyrr, the Edgehand Battalion is a force specified for the protection of the pass and fortress of Hyrr, and Kaedrin itself. It serves underneath the House Edgehand, which was previously a dwarven Clan of Kal’Urguan. It has now grown to become a key point in Kaedrin’s political status. The clan itself remains strictly dwarven. The Battalion partakes in all skirmishes and battles that the kingdom is involved in, including conflicts with the Teutonic Order. This battalion is used for initial attacks, including movements as shocktroopers. They often lead the attack, bashing their shields and roaring their battle cries. Despite their enthusiasm, they remain formed and unified as an organized group. Led by the renowned Raglin Edgehand, they garrison Hyrr as a stronghold, and a crucial point in defense of the kingdom. The Edgehand Battalion is primarily formed of dwarves, although humans are allowed. Dwarves are to usually lead the formations, with hammers or shields at the ready. Amongst the soldiers that lead the frontal assault, there are specialized archers following behind, releasing their arrows into the mass of the enemy. These archers are often dispersed in key points to ensure the advantage is on the Hyrr soldier’s side. The Service Soldiers will see not only extensive training, but comat engaged alongside the White Rose. Currently, the Hyrr Battalion's focus is to aid its allies amongst Kaedrin to attack the Teutonic Order’s forces. This isn’t the first time dwarves will fight the teutons. And the idea that they will fight once again, often sparks dwarves to join. Training will be led by not only Raglin Edgehand, but often Baldir Toov, a high-ranking officer amongst the White Rose. This will ensure that the group’s units are strictly taught, and knowledgeable to hold their own against even the toughest opponents. Training will commence within the stronghold of Hyrr. Troops will receive bunks within the keep itself. Further Information Dwarves that seek to join this military will not have to leave their clans. Although it is serving underneath a dwarven clan, that does not require kin to join. Soldiers of both dwarvish and human race will have to make an oath of loyalty to the group, and so their commanders. Humans that join must treat their dwarven brothers as well as their own kin. 7. Raglin Edgehand is hunting far and wide to locate those that are linked to the Edgehands through blood in some way. He places word in dwarven towns, in remote villages, "The Edgehands are returning". Are you of the bloodline? Perhaps you should contact Clan Lord Raglin to find out. (( Currently the Edgehands are looking for new dwarves to join us! This clan is good for you newer dwarves out there, being that we are in fact a commoner clan. Contact myself on the forums if you wish to learn some more info on joining. But all you may need is on our clan post! http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/71544-the-edgehand-clan/?view=getnewpost We look forward to Roleplaying with you! ))
  8. ((The Edgehands are once again openly looking for more dwarves. ))
  9. Hammers ring out as the Edgehand Hall is reformed, it's raw inner caving being chiseled into a work of Edgehand art. Raglin himself performs the building, whilst also placing signs about the capital, stating his search for more Edgehands. (( Clan Hall has been acquired! All current Edgehands, message me stating you will be active and returning.))
  10. (( The Clan has been reformed! )) Raglin stepped into the firelight of the Dwarven keep. His eyes searching over the carvings, the buildings. He nods slowly. It was quite different from his days in Karik, in Kal'Anart. But he liked the change. It had a sort've...Depth to it. Raglin looks down at his gauntlets, the worn, faded insignia of the Edgehand clan just barely showing itself nowadays. His disappearance had shattered the clan, and with much sadness, he realized he had done what the previous Clan Father had. For too long, the Edgehands had been prompted towards glory, then thrown away from it. Now, Raglin was sure to bring forth the clan's power, once again. He marched down the halls of the dwarven hold, a determined look in his eyes. The Edgehands would return, and would return tougher than ever. (( I'm going to be returning to LOTC, playing more frequently, etcetera. I need some information on what I need to do to establish a clan hall? Etcetera. Apps are open for acceptance now! ))

LoTC haven't updated yet, and the new update requires a server update (for whatever reason) downgrade.

  20. Agreed. Mountaineers and their "tracking" wolves. Mountaineers are conditioned to severe climates in dwarven lands, and would greatly need beast companions for assistance with tracking.
  21. *This has been concluded. Will post the RP for it soon. Unless someone else wants to.*
