A Sybillan Stafyr interested in the past, he would jump at the chance to revisit the ancient Stafyr County of Werdenburg in order to retrieve lost Almannir artifacts, historical records, and House heirlooms while at the same time on official business for King and Country. What Skills Can You Bring?: Ser Konrad is one of the few men alive to have killed a living direwolf, possessing a strong strategic mindset and nearly 35 years of experience in martial affairs against man and beast. Tracking and hunting are two of his strong suits, and his fighting skills are quite well honed, choosing to fight with a sword and shield or with a crossbow. In addition, Konrad’s childhood training as a law clerk and his many years in the Haeseni Duma have given him a strong ability to interpret old documents. He is also a retired bureaucrat and a former Lord Palatine, or Chancellor, the Kingdom of Haense and therefore a competent leader of men.

Not only a Titanic figure in Human History, the Exalted Sigismund can also be credited for the events that would eventually lead to the establishment of our nation, our title of Ruska having once been under his primary control. As the 300th Anniversary comes to pass, we celebrate His Revelations, raising our lances high as we dedicate this Tourney in His name. The passing of our late King, Andrik III has left us in a state of mourning, but as the war continues, we will not falter in our quest to acquire ourselves a better and safer future for our generations to come. Two combatants set upon each other within a ring as the crowd watches on, ending only when one yields the victory to the other. The execution of one’s opponent is highly frowned upon, resulting in the imprisonment and trial of the charged. The victory of these duels is then granted the Champion’s share of the prizes, as well as the title associated with it. Three Thousand Minas is afforded to the Champion, although a 100 mina entry fee must be paid in order to partake in the melee. The Haeseni Melee also comes in another variation; 3v3 Team Battles, where the aforementioned rules still remain in place. Three Thousand Minas is afforded to the victors of these melee, as well as the title, ‘Defenders of Haense’. No country has been left untouched by the carnage wrought by this conflict, but we perhaps have suffered the horrors of war more than any other nation involved. Since the days of King Petyr I, we have found ourselves engaged in an endless battle for our own very survival. There have always been those who have harbored hatred in their hearts toward the Haeseni people, and there will always be those who seek to tear down that which we have sought to build together over the past three centuries. But still we thrive, regardless of the bloodshed that we have had to endure. We have fought off repeated attacks and raids against our people alongside our Imperial brothers in arms, and our resolve to pull through this conflict has never been greater. Our prosperity and our economy have yet to falter, even with the enemy still lingering at our gates. Our people is a strong one, a proud one, and we will not falter in the face of aggression. How do you feel about 1.14 on LOTC? – Honestly, I’m not sure if this update was properly timed or even necessary for the time being. I’m all for updated to 1.14 and really wanted to see this happen, but I think that such should have waited until after the end of the ongoing server wide war. A warclaim is still pending that needs to be resolved that is keeping the server in suspension, regardless of which side turns out to be the victor. Resolving that conflict by allowing for the ability to run a warclaim and creating a fun RP environment for all should take precedence over further server updates. Do you think 1.14 has benefits on the server? If so, what? – Well yes, it obviously has it’s benefits. I believe keeping the server as update as possible with the most recent version of MC so that the most players possible can join the server. For instance, I love barrels, lanterns, and lecterns. They’re all great objects that I’m really excited about that could expand upon RP opportunities. Crossbows especially have me hyped, although the power of these weapons might need to be nerfed a little bit to fit with LotC’s current PvP environment. Do you think 1.14 has brought problems to the server? If so, what? – Oh, it’s caused so many problems... For instance, many players can’t even use their soulstones to teleport between cities. Many are already afraid to travel the roads due to the ongoing war on the server, and many of the players that I’ve interacted with within my community have complained to me about the chunk errors and lag that afflicts it. It often takes forty minutes to walk from the Cloud Temple to most cities, which is obviously unacceptable for most people. No matter the benefits of the MC version, nothing is worth the ruination of the players’ experience. If there is an issue with this, how do you think it could be solved? – Roll back the server, return to 1.13 temporarily, and get the damn warclaim run. Win or lose for either side, this needs to be done for the good of the server and it’s RP for the upcoming winter break. Either do this, or work really hard on fixing lag and soulstones so it can be had. The health of the community should come first before an update to 1.14, and delaying for a week or two will hurt nobody. Further delaying an already over-delayed warclaim will. And finally, if you have any extra input then you may put it here! – As I’ve said, focus on the technical problems the server is having already before trying to overreach and do a big update like 1.14 that’s bound to cause technical issues. Chunk errors, lag, and soulstone breakage have all made the server intolerable. My suggestions would to focus on running the WC for the time being and then do the update.

Andrik Petyr would remain cloistered in seclusion within his room at the top of the tallest spire of Ekaterinburg Palace. A servant had just recently informed him of the news behind his mother’s death. Across the palace, the Marian Knights of the royal kings guard had jumped into action, scouring the premises in search of the Queen’s assassin. Who could have done such a terrible thing? The Queen was beloved by all, the young lad thought to himself as he continued to weep on the floor of his room... ...His mother had meant everything to him. For so many years, his father had been preoccupied with the many affairs of state required of a King, and he rarely saw the man that he admired most in the world. His mother had cared for him, educated him, and taught him many lessons over the duration of his short yet eventful life. The young prince would find no comfort in knowing that his mother was now with GOD in the Seven Skies. Alas, he would have given the entire world to nestle his head against her one last time, to cherish her comforting embrace, but such was not to be. How cruel fate is, he thought to himself as he continued to wallow in his greif. She saved my Duma from missing quorum once, and accompanied me on several diplomatic engagements. Heh… The way she spoke, her oratory, she could’ve almost rivaled Georg Stanimar or Terrence May in terms of how she could rouse a crowd. I had respect for this woman, Ser Nikolaus. True, undying respect,” He turns to face the knightly commander. “She was a true Carrion, and deserved a better entrance into the Seven Skies than this. GOD bless her…” Pausing for a moment, he would sign the Lorraine, before beginning to move off. “...I suppose I must be the one to inform His Majesty. He will not be pleased. See to it that the assassin is caught.”

Behind the walls of Ekaterinburg Palace, Ser Konrad Stafyr sharpens his blade against a grindstone. Deep in thought, the aging knight would ignore his surroundings. Not a soul could garner his attention, for the man was lost deep in thought... ...For nearly twenty years, there had been relative peace. Although a few minor emergencies had taken place within the Empire since the end of the War of the Two Emperors, none of them had ever truly threatened the territorial integrity of it’s borders. But now, a threat had once again arisen to the country he had become proud to call home. His friends, his family, and his King were all now at risk against the heathen invaders. As Lord Palatine, Ser Konrad had strived long and hard to keep the peace that his predecessor and King Andrik had fought so hard to forge and maintain. And there had been peace, a reconciliation with the Empire and a renewal of prosperity unlike any before. THE HAESENI CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATIONS IC 1738 | ES 288 [!] Haeseni exam candidates preparing for the exam under the supervision of a tutor. Va Birodeo Herzenav e Edlervik, The Haeseni Civil Service Exam shall be instituted to examine and seek out the most talented people to serve in the Royal Government. The exam shall cover the major themes of Haeseni culture including various histories, literature, and language. Exam candidates who score highly and demonstrate confident mastery of the Haeseni classics shall advance and go onto serve as respected appointed officials of the Kingdom. The exam shall be administered once every four years in the royal palace. Exam candidates are required to complete the following three parts which shall compose of the broad themes that the exam will test prospective government officials. While not required to be selected for or hold a government job, the goal of these examinations is to allow for those well-versed in Haeseni tradition and culture so as to ensure that the realm has culturally conscious ministers. Holidays and Traditions Exam questions for this section shall be administered to test exam candidates about the various customs and holidays practiced in Haense culture. The Kings The biographies of the kings must master the knowledge of the various monarchs since the conception of the Kingdom of Haense. Petyr’s Ballad Exam candidates must successfully orally recite Petyr’s Ballad and will be assessed by a written interpretation of their study of the poem.
