Amuel stares at the name "Elros Leydon," running his finger over the name and mouthing Elros's name. "He's the one that saved my life..."

Amuel looks at the recruit board, scanning past the names. "Another Shimazu... and..." Amuel stops at the name 'Thurgis Shader.' His face goes pale and his eyes widen in shock. He stands there for a few seconds, before tearing off to the generals office at a lighting pace.

His best friend from childhood was Thurgis Shader ((Graxwell)), who taught him building skills. When he grew older, he decided to go to Salvus looking for work as a builder. He was,however, unable to find work, and almost starved to death. He was given food by a man in the employment of Clan Ishikawa, Roman Johnson((Hakuza)), Gave him food. Amuel asked if Roman had any work that needed to be done, and Roman replied that there were men needed for Clan Ishikawa. Amuel moved to Clan Ishikawa and found work there as a Bannerman, a guard. He made friends with the generals of the Sutomu, Tetsuzaru Ryu ((CoroRexCereidon)) and Satomi Shimazu ((Yopplwasupxxx)). He continued working, his loyalty to Clan Ishikawa grew, and he matured. After two years working in Clan Ishikawa he rose in rank to Samurai. He was in Regiment two, Squad two. They military had grew, but he was the most different. He does not build much anymore now, instead he trains with the Yumi bow. He is highly skilled in it, even hitting an apple falling off of a tower in a small tournament. Skip forwards a few months and the Dwarven Urgmar has declared war on Oren. The drillmaster, Hadokame Kinji, went missing. Amuel was promoted to Drillmaster for the battle at the Great Nation Crossing. On the date of the battle itself, he came late, veering off the path so he wouldn’t get caught in any skirmishes. However, he came on the wrong side and found himself right behind the enemy. He shot one Kharajyr to death, and one Dwarf, before fleeing back to his own lines. A few minutes after he got back and regrouped with the Sutomu, Thorin signaled the retreat, and Oren won the first battle. Ambitions for the Future: Amuel loves Clan Ishikawa. He loves it, but sometimes he feels like he doesn't fit in. His skin is so much darker, and the fact that he is from another place. He tries to cheer when Lord Kais makes a “We are the sons of the east speech” but he always feels unsettled by it. Sometimes he hears recruits muttering about him, or staring at him. What his dream is, is to live in Clan Ishikawa, and be accepted. Personality: Amuel is polite and soft-spoken, always careful, but sometimes he can get upset quickly, generally when he has had a bad day. He follows Lord Kais with full obedience, however he does not do this blindly. He consideres himself to be almost an adviser to Kais. Skills: Amuel is an incredible bow shot. He almost never misses even hitting an apple falling down tower in a tournament. ((I rolled a 19 out of 20, so I thought it was accurate)) He can fire and reload at blistering speeds, making him a superb combat archer. The only thing he can do that matches his skill with the bow, is is incompetence at the sword. He hates swords. Not only does he hate them, he cannot use them at all. If he was fighting with a sword, he would be more likely to hurt himself than the enemy. Hstands 5'7 and speaks in an eastern accent, despite his birthplace.He usually looks calm, controlled, and in command. Over his right shoulder, attatched to his armor, is a Quiver, full of arrows. On his left shoulder is where his bow usually rests. In the center of his back stands an Ishikawa Banner. The banner shows a field of purple with an Ishikawa tiger head in the middle and crossed black arrows underneath in a skull-and-crossbones formation. The lettering on topof the banner identifies him as the Drillmaster of the Ishikawa Sutomu. His eyes are a deep purple and his hair is straight and black, although it is usually covered by a helmet. Thordin looks on from beyond the grave and mutters something about wishing he could talk to Gideon now, and that he TOLD him it was a bad idea.

Amuel looks over the propaganda, nodding in approval "This is exellent... I wonder where they found the material. I would like to meet the artist..." Amuel pauses at the final poster and starts laughing. "Hah! Genius."

Thordin Marsh's spirit watches in satisfaction "Aye, tha's prop'r propaganda righ' there."

I actually one time I used the /me command on a GM (I can't remember who) for no real reason and saw "Naga" age 90000.

Amuel's face is thunderous as he reads the news of Ishikawa being banished. As he looks over the poster a second time, he sees the name and does a double take. Sputtering, he reads it furiously a few more times. "What is... who... Somebody will die for this." Amuel strides off, tearing out posters wherever he sees them.

Tetsuzaru calls out "Amuel! I have an errand to do, I need you to fill out the recruitment forms. We have an applicant." Amuel hurries over "Does this mean I can have some of your Sake?" Thordin Marsh lies in the bed in the Dal Cais Sick House, at the end of his life, deep in fever. His eyes are closed, but his mouth is moving, and he is reaching out, as though holding something. He speaks "Brandon... Brandon I thought ye we'r dead..." He pauses again, listening to the invisible voice that seems to speak to him. "You too? 's my time?" He tries to sit up, but falls down again, weak from his sickness "Aye, aye. I'll jes' be a minute..." Thordin stares out the window one last time, seeing the sunset, before closing his eyes once more, never to open again.

Amuel looks around the notices. seeng Hadokame, now his superior. He nods to himself, pleased. He will have to meet Kinji later.

Thordin having recovered fully from his fever, he was told by a messenger to see the guard tower for news of his beloved son. He sees the severed rope, his over-aged face frowning in puzzlement. He goes up to the tower, sits on the ground, and reads the note given to him by Gideon. As he reads it, tears begin falling more rapidly down his face, a flood of sorrow as his whole world of pride and happiness for his son evaporates in the cruelty of the real world. Too stunned for words, past the point of screaming in rage, past the point of fainting, Thordin sits there, his tears wetting the piece of paper that is now his only memoir of Brandon. His son. He sits, waiting, hoping for some kind of sick joke to be revealed, that everything is fine, that nothing is wrong after all, but none comes. Thordin is sobbing now, deep, racking sobs of primordial sorrow and pain, of the loss of the one he cares about most. Even later, once he has cried himself dry of tears, emptied himself of pity for self and others, he stands up and leaves. He wanders. He does not know where, or why, or to what end he is going, just that he must leave.

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): was shocked by the cruelty of the world at a relatively young age. When he was 15, he left his home as a builder to get money for his parents. Along the way, he met a High Elf named Equinox. The two became friends, and traveled together. Equinox caught a fever, but fortunately, they were found by a nice-seeming group called the White Rose. (you all know how this will end) The White Rose Troops refused to let them in and Equinox insulted one of them. They decided to kill him, and Amuel barely escaped with Equinox, but he died of a fever a few days later. Equinox's last words were “Always put the happiness and safety of others, before your own.” Amuel moved on, and found friends in Clan Ishikawa. He grew increasingly loyal to them, to the point where he would obey any command given by one of the Higher-ranking officers. One day, he was looking for his Drill Sergeant, Satomi(Yopplwasupxxx) walked in carrying his dead son in his arms. Even though he never knew Satomi's son, his death still struck him deep. He had been killed, nobody knew why. It struck Amuel as really unfair, to be killed like that. Then, a few days later, the final blow was struck, both to Satomi, and to Amuel. An acquaintance of Amuel's, Fujiwara, was executed. Amuel will go to any measure to protect an 'innocent' or one of his freinds. He wants to forget his past, forget everything, and live in his new life as Amuel Sano, the Ashigeru in House Ishikawa. He is effectively brainwashing himself.
