If this ranting about the whole keys-for-caskets thing is true I'd expect better loot. Caskets are seriously hit-and-miss (mostly miss) from what I understand, or at least we should be able to obtain keys through some other means. Blacksmithing?

It appears as though vassalization under Oren is within our grasp, and our Orenian friends are quite eager to indoctrinate us with open arms. This will mean many great things for Sylverport, as they will play a key role in our development and future in Athera (and beyond perhaps!).
