Perhaps foods like carrots should be removed. This is because carrots require no preparation. Perhaps an object called Roasted Carrots can heal for the full 2 hunger pots, and the raw carrots heal for 0.5, with a large potential of sickness. -
[Frp] A Calling To The Mali'ame
Rhonir replied to WuHanXianShi14's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
Rhonir nods as he sits in the circle. "I s'pose I'll tag along for now, and see how it goes. Count me in as well." He gathers his pack and bow, and slings them on his back, nodding to Artimec. "May the trees shade our paths." Rhonir waits, looking to whoever else says anything. Then, with response to the the 'naysayers'. "With such proximity to New Malinor anyways, the settlement could be viewed as a borough or administrative district of the Princedom, and governed as such. A representative of said borough could be a part of the High Council, so the Mali'ame have a distinct voice in the governing process. Just a thought." -

I love it. It fits well with my character, and probably many others. It has real world connections and is simply amazing. You should probably request for it to be moved to either completed lore or WIP lore.

If this is a place where we can also put ideas, I'd just like for one-handed war-axes to be implemented. The normal MC axes do less and last half as long as swords. These could do the same or more of the equivalent sword. And as durable. Forgive me if this is already done, and I am being stupid and redundant. :)

Well, this effectively kills off alt characters, doesn't it... Pity. I think that should be changed.

What of dual wielding? Will its implementation be similar to that of the shield? And I think that Wood Elves should be able to jump higher and take less fall damage. As well, they should be able to do even more damage with bows, and a faster draw. It would give some advantage to being a little brown elf. :D

Ooc Info Regarding The Upcoming Battle

Was a definitive verdict decided? I had to leave mid-battle. -
Random Mutation itself provides enough variation in size for selective breeding. These mutations that power natural selection which in turn power evolution have a rate of occurrence. And it wouldn't take one recessive gene. Most traits like height and weight and hair color are powered by hundreds of genes. That provides a lot more room for error. They are called polygenic traits. This makes sense. If there was only one gene that controlled size, then wouldn't there only be two sizes of animals, and not a myriad of intermediates? The selective pressures they apply here should be ample to breed. Many breeds of dogs are descended from a dozen individuals.

Perhaps, to further increase Role Play, cities that are abandoned should become ghost towns. Most of the would would have rotted, so the buildings would either be stone outlines of buildings or cracked shadows of their former selves. Cave spiders and silverfish should haunt these grounds, and bandits can find a welcome home in these abandoned cities.

If you are going to be basing the weight of the Braduk Rhinos in comparison to real life Rhinos, they would probably be smaller. Animals that live in the desert tend to be smaller than their lusher ecosystemed counterparts. In real life, desert foxes are puny compared to normal foxes, and they have huge ears. A realistic anatomy would probably 7000-7500 lb range, with larger ears. Even when you increase the size through Selective Breeding, the leaner physique and large ears would probably still exist.

No country should be spared. Malinor and Oren should get Tornadoes, the Dwarven Mountains should get blizzards and avalanches, the Orcish Desert should get sandstorms, and the Kha should get Hurricanes. :D

I think that one of the major side-affects should be either emaciation, or exhaustion and hunger. This is because, presumably, this potion activates the reproductive cycle of the cells and makes them grow at an alarming rate. This also would make them revert to their embryological state, where they go back to their roots, using the sections of DNA they used within the uterus as an embryo. Mitosis, or the reproductive 'splitting' of a cell, takes a surprising amount of energy for what it does. And thus, the average cell, let's say a liver cell, spends most of its life in inter phase, simply storing up energy whilst performing its actual function. If this is going to be done in an embryological state, in a rather short period of time, in large scale, it would require a large amount of energy, that would usually be used elsewhere. So maybe the patient wouldn't become a skeleton with skin, but their muscle mass and fat deposits would greatly deteriorate. So Kardel would probably be very weak and thin for the entire time he uses the potion.

I was making this because in Telanir's blog post, he stated that Custom mobs with names and custom health could come. I thought this would fit well with that update.

Snow Wolves Story The Biology of the Snow Wolf The Snow Wolf is a fearsome beast to be both respected and feared. Their reputation for being smart, cunning, resourceful, strong, and fast has long preceded them throughout the realm of Anthos. Their fearsome and respectable behavior has earned them places in stories, legends, and bard songs everywhere, such as the campfire tale above. Anatomy The Snow Wolf is known for its massive physique. Its well built musculature allows for impressive strength and speed. Although the average Snow Wolf weighs about 180 lbs, they are still quick on their feet and are very stealthy. Another important characteristic of Snow Wolves is their impressive size. These beasts are usually 6 feet long, and 3 feet at the shoulder. This, coupled with their bulk, allows for their incredible perseverance, and they can take many blows before going down. This impressive stature is an evolutionary adaptation to their harsh and unforgiving climate. With a bite force of almost 2000 lbs, they can snap bones in combat. Due to their mass, however, they cannot run as fast as their leaner cousins, but can still sprint an impressive 30 mph. Although known for their pure white coats, some Snow Wolves occasionally have streaks of gray, brown, or black in their pelts. Behavior One of the most profound behaviors of the Snow Wolf is its cunning intelligence and ability to work as a team with its pack mates. To overcome their proportionally slow speed, the Snow Wolf plans its attacks, and works in coordination with its team. Usually, they will stage an ambush, when the prey is in an isolated and vulnerable spot. Although mighty, the Snow Wolves know their limits. A pack of about four snow wolves would never attack an entire herd of Elk head on. Likewise, they would not attack a hunting party of over five. In addition, the Snow Wolf does not usually engage humans unless provoked, but when provoked, will fight until they deem it a waste. The alpha male is the patriarch of the group, and he is distinguishable through his special streak of gray, located on the ridge of his back. He is also noticeably larger than the others. He is the one to coordinate the attacks through a complex system of growls, yips, yelps, and howls. A pack usually consists of about four to five wolves. At around the age of two, the male pups leave the pack to start a new one, or join another one. This ensures genetic diversity. Mating season of the snow wolves occurs in late winter, so the pups are born in early summer. The pups are at a hunt able age at one and a half, but won't leave until 3 years of age. Range & Habitat The Snow Wolves range in the Southern Mountains and the Boreal Southern Forests. Many packs live in the Cold North. These two groups of Snow Wolves are genetically isolated, but retain most of the same characteristics in tandem. Theoretically, they could interbreed, but such a feat would be difficult, as they are so isolated. The Snow Wolves are a hardy species, and can survive in icy mountains. Their prime habitat is boreal forest, but they thrive in the rugged mountains as well. They can survive in any climate, but unless domesticated or forced out of their home, they will never have a reason to leave the snowy lands from which they came. Diet The Snow Wolves prefer to consume wild Elk, Moose, or Mule/White Tail Deer. In tough time, when this preferable game is unavailable, the Snow Wolves would resort to eating vermin such as mice, rats, squirrels, and beavers. If these are also scarce, they would resort to live-stock. This is rarely done. Eating people is even rarer, as Snow Wolves do not prefer the taste. Domestication If done from birth, a Snow Wolf can become a domestic beast. It would take a large amount of skill and a fair bit of luck, but it has historically been done. If tamed successfully, these animals can be incredibly useful, versatile, and good companions. But if not properly trained, the animal can become a danger to yourself and all around. Have any suggestions? Think it's unfinished? Anything to add? Reply below!!! Thank you for reading, ThePrroman

With the current difference between RP fight wishers and PvP fight wishers currently at .76%, with the PvP wishers in the lead, we should seriously consider a compromise. Gaius's system was quite good... if only it received a few votes.
-
I feel that RP fights should take priority over PvP fights, and that PvP should only be done if both parties are willing.
-
If it is PvP default, it won't be fair to those with inferior pc's... I play at less than 20fps usually... I don't feel it's fair. EDIT: Fixed a huge typo
