  1. Any of my old buddies on here ever want to get in touch my discord is in the profile, would be good to hear from you!

  2. Came by to scour some old maps and take a trip down memory lane. It's been a while and this is long overdue. Thank you Zivko. Meeting you in Anthos, not long after I made my Dwarf, was a pleasure. Joining this server, I found it hard to be accepted or to find a group of people I wanted to RP with. I wasn't that great at RP. That was until I met you, Ziggy and Jistuma. You pretty much told me I was your Son and that was it! The adventures we had and things we got up to. You gave me a place on this server and I still appreciate that to this day. Thank you for making my time here what it was, it wouldn't have been the same. I will never forget the plot-twist when you admitted to us that you had lied about being older and turned out you were actually younger than myself! Well wherever you are, whatever you're doing, I wish you all the best and hopefully sometime in the future we will meet again.
  3. In the far distance of the wilderness away from Athera; the lights of fireflies dance about the evening mist in a dense jungle. Although, a light shines brighter than the rest. Candlelight. A lantern hovers 4 foot off the ground through the shrubbery. Unbeknownced to man. Civilisation is distant. It continues through the mist, like a wisp or spirit. The light of the lantern scans the trees and cuts through the darkness like a spotlight. Finally the lantern stops. Its light illuminating a burrow into a tree. It enters, with a groan. The burrow is small, a bed of leaves lies in the corner right next to a makeshift desk of a tree root. The lantern hits the desk and the figure holding steps aside illuminating the whole room. The walls and ceiling are laced with fungi and mushrooms. Bardel Irongut, son of Kardel, son of Heron, son of Dwain stands over the desk. Beads of sweat drip down from his rough white hair onto his forehead. Even in the night the jungle is still hot and humid. With a grunt - he places a letter on the desk before him and slumps down into his seat. The letter is of plain white paper but is closed with the seal of the Irongut clan. He scratches his chin as he breaks the seal and opens the letter. Minutes pass as Bardel scans the letter; frogs and insects croak and chirp outside. Bardel groans and scratches his beard once more before slamming his fist on the desk and getting back up. "I guess I must go back..." he says to a ball in a hole in one of the walls "Its been 11 long years, and now they finally miss me." he chuckles before blowing out the lantern plunging the jungle into darkness.

  7. Hello LoTC I feel I have been to this stage multiple times since my original joining of the server but today I truly feel is the end of the line. I feel its time I moved on or had an extended hiatus from LoTC. The server I feel has lost the charm and appeal it once had to me as a young teen. I don't think it is anyones fault that this has happened but rather the fact I have simply grown out of it along with many other factors. Ziko99, my one and only source of RP on the server departed around a month ago and it simply wont be the same without this good friend The Dwarven Kingdom simply isn't what it once was and doesn't compel me to log on once in a while just to see whats up or to even fight in battles. Finally, like in Skyrim where you thought the game was huge and filled with mystery right up until the moment you travelled too far up the road or swam too far out to sea, I feel I have hit an invisible barrier which simply limits creativity and roleplay. A big contribution to that is probably the fact that I realised the 'nation' I have been playing in only consists of 3 dwarves ultimately which is hardly enough to fill up a house. I most certainly wish to return someday and will be checking up once in a while but right now, with my Exams fast approaching among other more interesting things happening in life right now, I simply cannot play. I have /alertsoff'd all my LoTC skype chats. I will miss all you great people I have met along the way and the great times we have had together and hopefully will have in the future. I hearby resign from the Event Team as well as all of my roleplay titles. You should add me on steam if you want to contact me, we can team on Counter-strike or something sometime. I don't play League because i'm not a weaboo. Adios LoTC. Good luck to you all. Batty_Wanker out. sorry for bad english

I lose sleep throughout the night, because my rabbit had gone. I contemplate what I will tell my 8 year old sister. This morning I wake up and walk into my exit room and there it is. Just standing in front of the patio doors. Looking a me.

  10. ((Whilst its sad to see him go it is for the best. We all have to move on eventually. Personally I don't want Kardel back, no matter how much of a good friend and father figure he was to me. He is in a better place now. He tried countless times to rid himself of his addiction to LoTC and he finally did it. I am glad.))
  11. The wind howled through the trees surrounding Heibenhall as a figure dressed in all white direwolf furs trudged across the bridge, blanketed in a thick covering of icy dust. Bardel Irongut was returning home once again from yet another of his many journeys into the wilderness to discover new botany. His bright amber eyes peered out from beneath his white hood and pierced through the thick blizzard about him. He coughed harshly, the journey had taken its toll - all that was on his mind was the warm fire which he would be sat about whilst he shared tales of his travels with his cousins. It had been 3 months, 3 long months. Heibenhall itself slowly began rising out of the ground. He peered up at the grand structure; an incredible triumph for the Ironguts. Bardel's head then slowly began to drift to the right where a lone tower steeped with blue stood away from the main building, a warm smile painted his face. The Dwarves stumpy legs began to move faster and kick away the snow at his feet. Bardel took no time, upon entering, to see his cousins whom were rushing about busy with their own crafts. Instead he approached the blue tower with haste as he checked about his pouch for the many plants he had collected on his travels. Jumping on the lift to the top he clicked the lever with his heel and whizzed to the top, whistling as he went. The elevator halted at the top with a jerk which Bardel knowingly used to spring up to his feet. He fell toward the door and thumped on it hard with his thick gloves. Hearing know reply he took one off and thumped again. "Pa?" He uttered from the cold balcony. "Pa!?" He repeated this time louder. Shrugging it off he unlocked the door and swung it open. The pressure of the wind entering the building flung it open harder than he intended causing it to bang on the wall. Bardel quickly jerked it shut and exhaled. Finally in the warm he slid his boots off and threw them aside. "Pa? I'm back? You betta not have dem darkelf girls up der again!" He climbed the ladder to his fathers quarters, right at the top of the tower. Upon finally reaching the top he jerked his back in pain, the traveling had been physically gruelling, it was good to be home. He stopped in the doorway and looked infront of him with a smile; for there hunched over in the desk in front of him was another pale white figure with white locks. A candle still burned and papers were strewn about the desk along with an assortment of jars of red fluids and stones. Bardel stood there and watched him for a while, afraid to disturb his rest. Then he chuckled as he pushed off the door and approached him. "Pa, you were up all night researching again weren't you." Bardel said as he stepped across the room. The other figure remained where he was, his head resting upon the desk. "Come on Pa you need to get to bed. What have I told you about obsessing like this." Bardel sighed as no reply sounded from his father. He had enough. "Time to wake up Pa, come on." he said as he reached down and shook him slightly. His smirk slowly drooped as his father did not move. "Pa?" This time he shook him a slight bit more violently. Bardel leaned down and rested his head on the table and looked at his fathers face. He shuddered and his voice broke "P-paa...?" A tear rolled down his white cheek and onto the bundle of alchemical notes on the desk beneath him "You old fool... how could you leave me.. I wasn't ready... you hadn't taught me everything... we never.." Bardel couldn't hold back any longer. The 300 year old dwarf broke into tears. As he looked down upon the body. "Ograhad has bid himself a new teacher today father." With that Bardel leant over and blew out the still burning candle. Casting the room into darkness and releasing the room to the harsh cold which was always attempting to enter. Elder Kardel Irongut, Grand Ograhad's Alchemist, Alchemist of fire, beloved teacher and father had died peacefully in his sleep on the 10th of first seed. After encasing his fathers body in his very own Alchemical ice. Bardel sent out invitations to all Dwarves and close of kin to attend Kardel's funeral. It is later announced by Bardel that all of Kardel's notes are to be destroyed along with any experiments and tests. "My father was a great alchemist. But his work lead to many deaths also. No others shall obtain his work and secrets for they shall and should die with me and him."
