A Song Of Ice And Fire: Seven Kingdoms Roleplay Thread
Proddy replied to Proddy's topic in Anthos OOC Archive
House Stark It's a strange morning in the lands of the North. A cold air runs across the fields, and the early-hour fog begins to build over the horizons. Crows sit perched upon the branches of leafless trees, squawking and screaming. Something was amiss, abode... And so light was shed. King Harlon Stark was found dead in his chambers, having passed on from natural causes. He died in his sleep, in a peaceful and painless manner, a satisfied and ready faint smile still present on the old mans face. And so Prince Torrhen, the Kings eldest son would take his mantle as the King of Winter. Ravens are sent to All Northen vassals to bring word of King Harlons death, whilst back in Winterfell preparations are made for Torrhens coronation, which should proceed within the fortnight Diplomats are sent to the Dreadfort in hopes of negotiating terms of peace, to finally put an end to the ancient rivalry and hostilities between the two houses.- 48 replies

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-TOHc7I1pc Westeros is in great turmoil... The seven kings of the seven realms each vie for control of one another, whilst their vassals and retainers squabble and plot for land and titles. Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea, Aegon Targaryen, referred to merely as 'the Conqueror' more often that not, continues to war for the Free Cities in hopes of reforming the Valyrian Freehold anew. What is your stance and position in this world of discrete and betrayal? Are you a lowly lord, or a stalwart king? In the Game of Thrones, your either win or you did, there is no middle ground... ~ OOC thread, if you wish to apply then do it here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/109414-ooc-a-song-of-ice-and-fire-seven-kingdoms/ I do ask that you revise the rules and mechanisms of how the RP will work before making your first post, which can be done on the thread linked above. Please, READ OVER BOTH OF THE GOOGLE DOCUMENTS ON WAR AND ECONOMY. I will not be held account for you should you be booted off the RP for power gaming/god moding. Everyone's been henceforth accepted, to many people to quote so I won't even try. If anyone wants to revise/edit military numbers, then do so now but no changing after you've made your first post. IC thread is forthcoming and I'll set up the chat now.

Perhaps, Royal Houses should in most cases field more men than vassals so I'd like that to be used as a general rule of thumb

For your first suggestion, then eh. I'm less sure on what the numbers would be than any of you guys really, it'd put less pressure on me to simply let you guys decide than pre-set the numbers As for your question, however, that's yet to be decided officially. I'll be setting up a group chat when I hop on tommorow so we can all discuss that and other mechanisms of how the RP will work. Accepted.

Accepted, though your history on the house is incorrect. The actual King of the Mountain and Vale at that time was actually Ronnel Arryn, though his regent was his mother because he was like, 6 years old. I'll overlook that, though. I'll put the IC thread once more people have applied (ETA, sometime tommorow)

Westeros is in great turmoil. The seven kings of the seven realms each vie for control of one-another, whilst their vassals and retainer squabble and plot for land and titles. Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea to the east, Aegon Targaryen, often referred to merely as 'the Conqueror' continues to war for the Free Cities, in hopes of reforming the Valyrian Freehold anew. What is your stance and position in this world of discete and betrayal, however, Are you a lowly lord, or a stalwart king? In the Game of Thrones, you either win or you die... No middle ground... ~ I know Sorted already has a GoT FRP going, but **** it I wanted to make one. The timeframe of events of this RP is what is known as 'the Bleeding Years' in the GoT/ASOIAF universe, and we're slowly transitioning towards the time of Aegons Conquest. With that said, however, I've added my own little twist to the RP, that being Westeros is not being invaded, but rather the Free Cities. I've done this for a variety of reasons, though my main being that the role of Aegon is one commonly power-gamed and I feel it to be much more fruitful for him to be kept out of the picture, whether I can trust someone enough to play him or not. For obvious reasons, the boundaries of playable houses and factions are restricted to Westeros only. House Targaryen aren't cut out from the RP entirely, though. What goes on across the Narrow Sea may trigger events in Westeros, such as trade hinderance and what-not. Whether I do this or no is to be decided. Rules are the same as any nations FRP, really. Keep starting military size to a reasonable number, and stay active or your place in the FRP will be lost. You can play as any Westerosi house or faction you so wish, as long as they'd exist in this time period (I.E House Durrendon rather than House Baratheon) so I'd recommend revising your AGOT history-lore knowledge before applying if it isn't your strongpoint. Application; OOC; Forum name: Skype (can be PMed to me if you wish): IC: House/Faction: Starting military strength (keep it reasonable): Short history (completely optional): Moderators: Terry Crews Cracker War and Skirmishes: https://docs.google.com/a/nyu.edu/document/d/13afEFH-r75-4Pq2F8TvzGIX3KrQCkZVTvOppbQgMBZU/edit?pli=1 Economy: https://docs.google.com/a/nyu.edu/document/d/1bvo3d7CyYss9CyFFGwouDGGIorumLMD4jZR20sEDAkU/edit
